People really like to be complemented, typically on their appearance, or talents. But my absolute favorite compliment to receive is “you smell really good.”

I think this has to do with the fact that I was bullied a lot in early Elementary school for smelling bad. Due to some medical conditions I was born with I had a few accidents at school as a kid, and was forever bullied about it until my family moved away in 4th grade.

Anyway anytime anyone randomly tells me I smell good I fill up with joy.

Waterworld

I’d say it’s a slice of life “sandbox” for the moment. I’m going to start up the IC once there is at least 3-5 more accepted characters ready to go. If it looks like the RP group is going to stay rather small I’ll come up with a more concrete plot idea/point.

For now the IC will kick off in the Sigarmyth city on the map, though everyone is free to start where they please. Tomorrow I’ll start inputting the information about the cities in the link within the “more info on cities and things” hider.

The Commander & Yin Whalers

This is a well known whaler ship, owned by the Yin Family. The ship is large and boasts a crew of over 40. Though most of the crew is made up of the Yin's extended family, and half a dozen or so slaves. Captain Ozwell runs the ship with his wife, and his three brothers.

He is the captain of the Commander, and married to Sulema. He had two sons with her, but his oldest, Willem, was murdered by a slave girl about 8 years ago. He had planned to sell the slave to a snuff theater, and watch her be tortured to death, but she escaped as soon as he docked his ship. He hopes to one day find and kill her. He is rather lazy and leaves most of the running of the ship to his younger three brothers. He is in his late 50s. (See Iris Desmond's CS by Emma)

Captain Ozwell's wife, and mother of Tomlin. Her oldest and favorite son was murdered by a slave girl 8 years ago. She is an anger filled woman, and rather strict with the running of the ship. She hopes to retire with her husband to Denalika City where she is originally from. She is in her 50s.

Tomlin is the only living son of Captain Ozwell and his wife Sulema. He is fascinated with growing trees, and has two orange trees on board the ship. His father wants him to take over as captain when he decides to retire, but Tomlin has little interest in hunting whales. He liked the slave girl named Iris, that is before she killed his older brother. Though he does not necessarily blame her, as he knew as well as anyone how evil his brother Willem was. He is 26 years old.

This is a large cruise ship that has been converted into a sailing ship, and uses solar power. It is owned by the Whitt family, and ruled over by cult leader Elroy Whitt, and his "Holy Generals".

- Elroy Whitt.

He is the founder and leader of the Leviathan cult. He is 62 years old. He and his brother Lance inherited the Leviathan ship from his father over 40 years ago, when he first started the cult. He is very charismatic, and typically knows exactly what to say to make you like him. He has a god complex, and truly believes he is a god on earth. He is a pedophile, and enjoys hurting people. He sees children and most woman as property. He claims to speak directly with God. He is deliriously narcissistic, and is good at reading people. He is grooming Levi Kapal to be his successor, though he also has hopes for his nephew Jasper.

Lance is in his late 50s. He is the cult Leaders younger brother, and married to Lola. They have one son together named Jasper. He has three other wives beside Lola, and has children with them. He is greedy, and loves the power that comes with being Elroy's brother. He is the leader of the Leviathan cults holy generals.

- Yolli Whitt nee Swyft.

She is 41 years old, and Lord Elroy's wife. Status as the “Messiah” wife gives her a lot of power within the cult. She has two daughters with her husband. She is a vengeful nasty woman. Hates anyone better looking then her, or who Elroy pays more attention then her to. When Elroy is off ship, she is the next in command. She is very devout, and would do anything Elroy asks or demands.

She is 38 years old, and joined the cult over 16 years ago, bringing along her seven year old daughter Iris, and leaving behind her job at the Red Sparks brothel in Kilimazia. She was drawn in by the promise of salvation, and an easier life. She was quickly married to the cult leader’s brother Lance Whitt, becoming his third wife. Ten months later she gave birth to a son, who they named Jasper. The birth of a son brought up her status among the followers. (See Iris Desmond's CS by Emma)

He is married to Lord Elroy's eldest daughter Aureola. They have three children together. He has a second wife he married three years ago who is pregnant at the moment. He is Lord Elroy's right hand man, and a very loyal follower. He joined the cult when he was 13 years old, and has done anything and everything he can to be favored by Elroy. He is a Holy general within the cult, which is the highest level a man can achieve. He is in his 30s.

Levi was born and raised on the Leviathan ship. He is one of the youngest men to receive the privilege of being called a holy general. He is like a son to Lord Elroy, as he has been raised by him because his mother was banished from the ship just after he was born. Levi has been set up to marry Lord Elroy's youngest daughter, Enkelini. He is being groomed by Elroy to take over as the next successor after Elroy dies. Levi is 26 years old.

Musaeum

This is the largest single ship on the ocean. It is huge and white, similar looking to a semi-futuristic looking cruise ship, that has seen better days, as it has been patched and re-patched with mismatch metal, and rusty barnacle crusted panels. The whole upper deck of the ship is set up as a huge garden, where they grow onions, potatoes, carrots, green beans, garlic, beets, squash, radishes, chili peppers, strawberries, lemons, oranges, and an array of herbs. They even have a large chicken coop area. The ship has 23 deck levels.

It is home to the greatest library and historical archive on the ocean.

The Ship tends to sail around the cities and sea looking for papers, books, scrolls, and old artifacts from before the the big flood.

The Scholars, as people called them, live on the ship, spending their lives learning all they can, restoring old books, and recording the histories, data, information, and new stories they came across. They have a dedicated archive just for the Drevni cities information.

The Scholars have a high council who operate and run the ship. Every five years the ship holds a ship wide vote, to pick who makes up the next high council. Besides that one is not officially considered a Scholar, until they spent ten years on bored the Musaeam in hard study, and their official mentor and the high counsel deem them ready for the title, otherwise they are referred to as an apprentice, or just teacher.

Scholars do train people in becoming teachers, to spread the knowledge. The Musaeum is run more like temple/academy then a ship. People can seek passage on the ship for a fee, but otherwise unless invited by a Scholar you cannot live on the ship. Most of the official teachers in the cities are usually from the Musaeum, or have been trained on it.

Mammoth

This ship was originally a huge aircraft carrier. But since the great flood this ship has specialized in all things fabric. They have sheep everywhere on the ship deck. The citizens are very skilled in keeping them healthy and sheared. They are also master dyers, knitters, and weavers. Besides the sheep, they also breed rabbits for meat and fur, and grow hemp, flax, and jute. It is custom that people who live on the Mammoth grow out their hair to later cut and weave into fabric.

Over the last decade the Mammoth ship, has integrated into becoming a ship community, as it has finally allowed outsiders to join them and interlock to the main Mammoth ship. Though to officially hitch your own boat to the Mammoth, one must prove their skill in some part of the process of creating textiles, or growing fiber crops. Many people have been able to bypass providing a talent, as long as the promise their own ship's decks as area for more cloth crops, or sheep grazing. The population of The Mammoth and its interlocked community is around 5000.

YeeZui

This ship was created in what was left of China and Russia before the big flood. It was meant to safe guard the people deemed necessary for the future of humanity. So the initial crew of this vast ship was mainly rich people who helped pay to get it built in the first place, and then people such as doctors, scientist, engineers, and their families were brought on.

The YeeZui evolved overtime to become the largest medical ship on the seas. Whereas all forms of advance medicine have basically been forgotten to the rest of the world, it is still semi-practiced and studied on this ship, at least to the best of the crews’ abilities with what tools and herbs they have to use.

The ship holds about 2000 people, but there are only about 900 people aboard at a time. They are known to take in orphans every once in a while to train into new doctors. Because the YeeZui has extra space, they use it for taking on travelers, and passengers. For a fee of course.

Captain - Chae Liao

She was born and raised on the YeeZui. Though her biological father is unknown, as he was just a passenger at the time of her conception. Her mother only knew his name was Tio, and he got off when they docked in Denalika. Chae is 47 years old, and has been captain for two years, since taking over for her uncle.

Earmale

This is the mail and messenger ship of the high seas. It is one of the fastest ships on the ocean, and is the largest passenger ship available for travel between Drevni cities. It sticks to a set route, going from one Drevni city to the next. Smaller boats are sent to the Insulo and Anchor cities for collection of messages and goods to be brought back to the ship.

Due to the scarcity of paper and the like, messages are instead memorized by an Earmale Messenger and verbally delivered to the recipient. People who are born and raised on the Earmale ship are trained in how to memorizes verbal messages from a very young age. Though some people just don't make the cut, and they instead end up working as more of a crew member, keeping the ship going, and such. But being an Earmale Messenger is considered a position of great respect and importance.

People who prove there memorization abilities usually can always find a job on the Earmale.

The ship was originally created before the great flood, as a passenger ship for survivors. It holds about 3000 people on its own, but it also has a fleet of smaller boats sailing with it.

Captain - Isabis Kitagawa

She has been the captain for 20 years. She is in her 60s. Her family has been a part of the Earmale ship since the beginning, and ta member of the Kitagawa family has held the captain position for the last 100 years. Before she became captain she was a Earmale messenger, and thus is very good at memorizing and remembering.

Jackal

This ship is known for its skills in metal-smithing, and deep diving for scrap metal.

They are a one stop shop for all things metal, and the place to go for boat/ship repairs.

The Jackal has been a ship community for over 50 years, and usually have the best stuffed scavenged from the bottom of the ocean. As the ship was originally built to hold diving machines, and submarine like tech its become the place to be for builders, and craftsmen dedicated to electric technologies, and metal.

The Jackal ship holds about 1000 people on its own, but the ship community surrounding it boast a population of around 6000 people. People can join and leave this community as they wish, there are no prerequisites or proof of talents needed to join. But to actually live/aboard the Jackal ship itself, one must be a master of their craft, or training under said master by invite only.

Rather then the captain being the leader of the ship, there is a council of guild leaders that make the main decisions typically by majority votes. The captains vote is only used in the instance to brake a tie.

Zoloto

Before the great flood, this ship was created to house and protect the last privileged people of the world. The famous, rich, and self-dub high class of the world. After three centuries this ship is now little but a floating city, with a populace sick with delusions of grandeur.

The fact that the ship was created by and for the "elite" makes this ship one of the grandest looking on the ocean. The exterior and interior have become old and worn, but its practically impossible to find things like grand marble stair cases, and crystal chandeliers anywhere else in the world.

Over such a long time, and multiple generations, the people of the ship have created a religion of their own, and truly believe they are better than the rest of the world.

They have a partial religious following off ship, within the cities, which results in ignorant followers sacrificing their goods or even selves, as a form of religious offerings.

Captain - Igor Anantasu

Igor is part of the Breeder faction aboard the Zoloto ship. He was born and raised on the ship, and can trace his lineage to Chaisai Anantasu a member of one of the founding families. He has been captain for little over a year.

High Priestess- Jinja Mallory

Jinja is a part of the Purists faction on the Zoloto ship. Her family has been mixing and inbreeding with its own for over 200 years, and the ramifications are apparent in most of the Mallory family individuals. Birth defects, deformities, infertility, and mental disorders run rampant in her family, but the Mallory bloodline is revered do to the fact they were the ones who initially commissioned the building of the Zoloto 350+ years ago. There is only one high priest/ess alive at a time, they are the equivalent of the catholic pope. Jinja has been the high priestess since she was 16 years old, and the last priest died leaving her the position. Jinja suffers from severe paranoid schizophrenia, but her delusions are considered messages from god and the divine ancestors, and are meant to be deciphered and followed. Normally the High priest/ess has the last word on everything within the religion and running of the ship, even over the captain, but because of Jinja's insanity Captain Igor has more power then he should.

Desalina

This ship was engineered as a seawater desalination facility, and was the main source of fresh water outside of natural rainfall, for a long period of time.

The Desalina is home to around 15,000 people, and was one of the first ships to become a community by interlocking with other ships, it is the largest ship community on the ocean.

To this day it still is one of the main providers of large amounts of fresh water. The Desalina sticks to a very specific route in the ocean, going from one Drevni City or Insulo City to the next, only stopping at Anchor cities during storms or emergencies. Quite a bit of the fresh water from this ship is used in city land farms.

Captain - Mihailo Byrok

He was originally born in Maelaki, but was taken aboard the Desalina when he was 9 years old, after him mother pleaded with the then captain of the Desalina, to take care of him. So from the age of nine he began his education and training in the running of the ship. He became captain of the ship six years ago, after the last captain passed away. He is now 43 years old.

Syans

This is the most famous ship on the ocean. Initially built by scientist before the big flood to safely stock and preserve things from land that otherwise would have gone extinct.

Outside of the Mars space colony this was the most technologically advanced creation to date. Store rooms specially made to preserve billions of seeds, from the millions of plant species around the world. Human embryos, eggs, and sperm are all perfectly frozen for later use, as a way to combat the inbreeding that was assumed to follow the small amount of survivors. Animal embryos and DNA were also saved, and ready to be made alive again, once a good amount of land appears.

A large portion of the ship was made into a bio-dome kind of place for the survival of bees, and other pollinators. It's been three centuries and of all the Dominus ships, this one has stayed the most complete.

The Syans ship is still ruled by scientist, and has been found to pay woman with rare Honey, and seeds to inseminate them with one of the frozen embryos. This is done in the hope of repopulating the earth, and keeping the gene pool clean.

The Syans is also the biggest trade ship on the ocean, as it has basically everything anyone wants or needs, from food, vinegar, fresh water, medicine, and so on.

Syans are noted to be the creators of Peables, and the official last word on things revolving around the economy. To become a part of the ship proof of education and scientific ability is necessary.

- Governor - Taanir Gemelgaia (Not Adoptable)

He is 26 years old. Governor of Tamzin, Taanir helped to expose the last Governor as a slaver, who was selling their people for personal profit. As the indirect catalyst that saw the man hang, Taanir became popularly known among the settlement. His reputation for being honest and fair, and his willingness to call out even his superiors for being unjust, gave him a platform to run for the newly vacant governorship. His mother died soon after he began his campaign, bitten by a white serpent, leaving him alone to care for his younger sister. Just as he was about to give up, his long-lost aunt and cousin arrived to warn him his main political opponent was consorting with pirates. Once again exposing a slaver in their midst guaranteed him the title of Governor, but in the fallout his sister was captured. His cousin Zash rescued her, and his aunt stayed to care for her. She is 18 years old. The younger sister to the Governor of Tamzin, Taanir. Five years ago when her brother was elected to the position she was nearly sold into slavery by West Wind pirates hired by his opposition, but she was saved by her long-lost cousin Zash whom had returned to warn them of the plot. A few months before that her mother was bitten by a white serpent and died, leaving them orphans. Her aunt Rama, Zash's mother, stepped up to help take care of her. She is 42 years old. She was born in Tamzin, Rama lost her parents young, too long ago for her to have any memory of them, and was raised by her elder siblings, of which she had seven in total. She always felt like a burden to them, so she always had big dreams about taking control of her own life. Being the smartest kid around gave her the confidence she needed to believe she could, and finally she did when a fire cost her family everything. She left without a word, rationalizing her escape as one less mouth they'd need to feed, and set out to make a life for herself. She met a Scholar, a man named Dean, in Bogorta, who helped round out her education and track down the Syans. She acquired herself a Syborn child and named him Zashahim- Zash for short. She later left Dean behind and dealed herself onto a Dominus, the Jackal, with her son in service to a man named Rado Bladić. She, along with her son, adopted the Kital philosophy for themselves. She lived in relative safety and comfort until she was coerced to return to Tamzin and adopt her orphaned niece. She reunited with her former flame, Dean, and made new life in the place of her birth. Dean is 40 years old and is from Argencagu, or rather a little community adjacent to Argencagu called Vineira, but it functions the same. At some point in his life he studied aboard the Musaeum and became a Scholar, but he enjoyed teaching more than studying on the Dominus so he frequently left. It was on one such trip to Bogorta where he would meet Rama and her son Zash. He fell in love with the cunning and driven woman, but was too late to win her affections before she left. Dean later established a school in Tamzin, her birthplace, and reunited with the two when they finally returned five years ago.
