Current I'm tempted to say "I've lost better friends than you" to a lote of people lately. I'm not sure what I ever want to say to the better friends that I've lost, though.

Bio

Twelve years ago, I said something on this website that continues to embarrassing me to this day. I was a stupid kid, like most, but I've never quite gotten the taste out of my mouth. Anyone who knew me at the time can tell you about it.

I love this website. I'm pretty sure my phylactery is stored wherever the webserver is and a significant chunk of me will just disappear when it ceases operation. Until then, it comforts me. I should go to the hardware store and paint my bedroom walls with the same soft, brownish grey that the background color has been for the last twelve years. Some of my friends can't wait for the site to go offline but I don't know of any other places that offer the same sense of community.

I'm an omni-gamer. I like board games, tabletop roleplaying games, admire tabletop war games, suck at riddles, and have an absurd library of video games. Survival horror is basically my favorite genre. Otherwise I'm a fan of esoteric, occult bullshit and punk rock. But disco's cool. Disco is what humanity sounds like when it chooses to be happy. Between you and I, I'd like to hope that the days of my life can sparkle like a disco ball, accreting like sparks from a grinder held up against the unwavering dark of deaths own shadow. Burn baby burn.

You and I, we're gonna die. We should be friends first, though. Write some checks we can't cash and make eachother smile. Make believe for a while.

Ah, it seems like just yesterday we were at 217 IC posts.
Yeah, gamemasters' word is law. For what it's worth, if second characters aren't allowed, it is likely that I'll switch things up every couple seasons or so. As @Inkarnate said, this is our big sandbox, and I plan to explore a fair bit of it. I promise not to kill/cripple my characters so as to keep them from being picked up by anyone else (unless the story demands it, obvi).

That means I have to "fix" Wolverine, right? I have plans for a couple different characters in future seasons, but I thought it'd be nice if my Wolverine run planted a couple seeds that could hatch for my next PCs.

As much as I will proselytize from the rooftops that SSM is and always will be my favorite incarnation of the web-head, yeah, there's maybe two actual character models on the show that I like. They usually look a lot better in motion, admittedly.

Which ones? I also am not a fan of the Shocker/Montana amalgamation, necessarily. Venom's voice is annoying. I don't understand why Kraven needed to look more animalistic as opposed to just getting the "powers" he was after. Otherwise, it really is Spectacular.

PS: I think if I ever had a big Spider-Man run, I'd make Norman Osborn a more direct ally to Peter.
Guys! Guys! I just blew my own mind!

(Also, Spectacular Spider-Man is so much better than the character models made me assume it would be)

Are you saying you disregarded a rule?

Completely forgot about that rule.
For Wolverine I'd cast Jaime Alexander or Emma Stone because there is no context I'd be unhappy to look upon either of those women.

...

Scratch that. Very few contexts.

So do I. Don't really like how I wrote Deadpool or didn't post as Aquaman. But I've had pretty consistent issues in these games with staying focused.

I believe Byrd copy-pasted old Suicide Squad posts in his run in that toe-dipping.
<Snipped quote by Nightrunner>
Pretty sure. Unless you did Robin more than once. But then again, I don't remember a UDC on Roleplayer's Guild run by Byrd either.

Yeah. The thing you're quoting happened, but after the thing I'm talking about. It's probably for the best that you can't find my posts from it. But it's from when Byrd was dipping his toe in the water over here.

1) That was Ultimate One Universe. Henry ran that one.

2) You joined Master Bruce's UDC in 2013 as Green Arrow before that.

I don't think so. Pretty distinctly remember Ultimate Dick Grayson being my first because the guy's playing The Question and Solomon Grundy name-dropped my Grayson shortly before it died. Though I did have a brief, terrible GA run that had a bank robbery and... nothing else, I think.

So...

When did everyone start rping, where and who was your first character? Mine was on a browser game that also had forum rp going on. I was a Jaffa called Tul'ak I think his name was

I read a lot of Wikipedia pages about the concept of role-playing and it's many forms before deciding I liked the sound of it's forum based variant. I signed up for RolePlayerGuild in 2012 when I was thirteen, looked at some Teen Titans RP that had a CS that included a picture of the initial New 52 Superboy and started to formulate a sheet (probably for a Robin) before wussing out for like six months. I came back and started an interest check in the free section for a "street level Justice League" before failing to get anything to coagulate, so I nixed it and joined Byrd's UDC as Ultimate Dick Grayson, a cop who had never been trained by Batman but was still Robin.

Yer' late, ma' man.

Nah. We used to have a Grant Morrison clone too. Only that Morrison style writing, hard to comprehend even in a collected trade, didn't work so well in a play by post RPG.

What if he was Grant, though? I mean, when you think about it, aren't we all Grant Morrison's self-insert OCs?
