Reaper trained his binoculars on the scene ahead of him as his boat quietly coasted ever closer. Both the binoculars and the boat weren't worth the nuyen he'd forked over, but if he was right about this payday, it was small potatoes- besides, he needed a way to get in... discretely. More discretely than just kicking down the front door, anyway. Of course, for him, "kicking" was somewhat of a misnomer.

...He was getting distracted. He concentrated for a moment, closing his eyes, as a bank of fog slowly started to rise from the water around him. A tad suspicious, to be sure, but hopefully he was far enough away that by the time someone noticed, they wouldn't be able to point him out, specifically. He grasped the handle of the machete under his coat. A useless gesture, but it made him feel better as he got closer to his target.

Somewhere in the warehouse, I think they said. He raised the binoculars to his eyes again, looking for a decent point of ingress. Maybe if I set a fire somewhere away from the warehouse. Ought to distract the goons enough that I can sneak in and get to the warehouse. Hell, might even take out the files and ledgers and drek. That... counts as altering them, yeah? He smiled at his plan- it was a decent one, at least, for how short a time he'd been given to come up with it. He usually had a lot more time to think things over, but his Johnson wanted it done tonight.

Must be a busy old bastard. He was close enough to see the warehouses with his naked eyes now, even through the fog. Moreover, he was close enough to hear.

It suddenly occurred to him that there was a lot more ruckus in this place than there should be. And it didn't sound like the usual busy sounds you'd hear in a place like this. It sounded like... gunfire.

What the Siegfried? The sounds only intensified the closer he got to his target, and he rolled his eyes. Of course, someone got here first. Gods dammit, Henrik. He hunkered down in his boat, hoping the fog he'd generated was doing its job properly enough. He had some adept talents, sure, but he couldn't just dodge bullets on a whim. Arrows, maybe, but not too many people used those, anymore. He gripped his machete's handle a little tighter, narrowing his eyes as he prepared to disembark.

Okay. Let's see what we're up against, and just how fucked I am if I want to get this run finished...
Post today, I promise. I've had two essays to write this week.
I was working on Reaper's intro post. Sorry it's taken so long- school and such.

==~==

Mako started to feel very... crestfallen, as Sato was none too gentle with rejecting his offer of help, if needed. And suddenly he was very acutely aware of just how stupid it was to come over here, especially with as raw as the event in question was in Sato's mind, obviously, and he should clearly just shut the fuck up and sit down.

"...Right. I wasn't-- hm. Right. Don't mention it, got it. I'll just, uh... sit back down then." He paused for a moment, shuffling about like an idiot, before finishing. "Good talk, I guess."

OH MY GOD, SHUT UP AND SIT DOWN.

Mako did so, feeling very... cold. Even when I try to help, I fuck things up. Good. Great. Glad I could figure that out. He looked up at the waitress who'd taken his order, frustration evident on his face.

Think I'd better take this order to go, he thought, fishing out his wallet.

==~==

The day- and therefore Mako's mood- had not improved since yesterday, as the poor heavy bag in front of him could attest. Part of him was afraid he'd punch a hole in the bag with the relentless assault he was inflicting upon it. Most of him was too wrapped up in destroying the bag, and not someone or something who'd actually feel it, to care. He wasn't even smiling today, either. There was no enjoyment in today's practice- just rage.

He'd already been stewing somewhat earlier, just from remembering Sato's rather rude rebuffing of his efforts to help. True, he hadn't gone about it in quite the right way, but that was no excuse for being rude. Anger at Sato quickly evaporated somewhere around lunchtime, however, to be rekindled with rage at that fucking cellphone bastard.

I knew he hadn't gotten rid of those photos. Should have broken his fucking phone when I had the chance. Unfortunately, it was a little late for that- pictures of "Saki" had flooded the school, speculation rampant and wild regarding just who the mystery maid really was. That asshole was never going to be allowed back into the cosplay cafe at this point, but the damage had already been done. And soon, someone was likely to realize exactly who the mystery girl was...

Worse still, he had no idea why he was so angry about it. True, he'd be frustrated and disgusted with the cellphone bastard on principle under normal circumstances, but this was far and away too much. Too much heat when he wasn't even the victim, too much rage at someone who really didn't matter in the long run, too much fixating on the image of someone he didn't even--

He bit back a curse as he drove a particularly powerful punch into the bag, but at the wrong angle, hurting his wrist. He winced, rubbing the pained area, then sighed, the action doing nothing to cool his rage.

I can't be here right now. All of this... shit. With the photos, and Sato, and that bastard... I should... study? Go home? Find that arrogant prick and shove his cellphone SO FAR UP HIS ASS THAT--

...

I need to go for walk. That's what I need to do. Maybe around Ferrero. I don't know.
He slumped, exhausted, but still fuming for reasons he didn't fully understand, as he turned back out of the gym, toward the locker rooms.

I need to relax. Lord knows this isn't good for me. Especially after last time. He shuddered as he pondered it, then went on his way, still futilely trying to think "peaceful thoughts."
Next, @EntertheHero, hope it gives you something to work with. In my next post, Racheli's condition will acceleration though one thing Gabriel will note is that her body temperature is suddenly dropping. She's becoming colder by the second and coughing up darker blood.

Sounds good. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks, Reaper!
Has to be said that Recluse provides crummy overwatch if 'not a cop' get's people inside the parameter.

Joking aside I'm usually a fan or circumstances over suspension when it comes to crowbaring a new element into the story. Even reasonable people will treat an unconfirmed friendly as a hostile once a firefight kicks off...especially if they're a bunch of runners and start hearing talk about 'his' cut.

He could get away, approach them after, comm on an open channel, steal the CDs or vehicle they get loaded into (remember, far as we know someone's just going to drive it off anyway) or any number of other solutions.

Just throwwing it out there.

That's fair. Right now I'm just focusing on inserting Reaper into the situation at hand. We can work on the details of joining up together later. I'm kinda leaning towards some variation of him watching the chaos unfold and saying, "fuck this" and getting out while the getting's good, and then approaching them later when he's probably not going to be shot. Subject to update as the situation unfolds.
Well, shit, I missed a lot. Shows me for being a student, aye?

Well, the way I see it, Reaper is gonna want to use the "distraction" from the other team to go in and get the CDs. Since he also doesn't want to waste time trying to change the ledgers as his Johnson recommended, he'll just go for the paydata. Given that Recluse is playing overwatch, though, and Terminal has eyes everywhere, I'm thinking he won't get very far. So he tries to save his bacon by mentioning his buyer, and that it seems like a legitimately shiny payday to work with him, so he offers to split the profits if they don't put a bullet in his ass.

What do you think?

EDIT: IC post will be up soon for Reaper.
Aiming to get a post up here tonight for you @EntertheHero.

Awesome! I'll keep an eye out for it~
<Snipped quote by EnterTheHero>

you think i didn't realize that?

It was possible. *shrug* I feel as though you're just using me as an excuse to shitpost, now, though.
'wasn't actually shitty'

...You trying to say something, Itano?

EDIT: It occurs to me that I may need to clarify- I was calling all of my own recent IC posts shitty, not anyone else's. Sorry for any potential mix-up.
