@EtherealThorn Yes, I know who you are. ^.^ It's good to see you~
I'm good! Hopefully we can get this RP up and running!
This could be interesting. What kind of powers will the guardians develop? Stuff like increased strength, speed and reflexes as well the sense associated with their oracle or more things like magic?
Magic. Guardians already would have enhanced strength, speed and reflexes before being chosen by an Oracle. On the Guardian character sheet there will be a section to fill out two powers granted by your lesser deity. For example maybe one Guardian can wield fire, and when chosen by the Oracle, the Guardian is able to engulf their weapon or shield in flames. You don't have to associate your magic with your Oracle if you don't want to!
"From tombs of chains, the lost shall wake, And all the earth shall tremble and shake. If seals are broken, night will reign, Until the Oracles bind again."
In the aftermath of a war that shattered the heavens, three Oracles stand as the last bastion between humanity and the ancient gods who were chained and forgotten. Gifted with divine sight, sound, and speech, they hold the fragile seals that keep the Forbidden Gods imprisoned beneath the earth. But the chains are cracking. Shadows stir in the depths. And the Oracles must choose two Guardians from among the mortals marked by divine blessing. As old alliances crumble and new threats arise, the chosen few must band together to journey to the Temple of Echoes, where fate will be decided and prophecies fulfilled. Their Oath demands they protect one another, for if the Oracles fall, the Forbidden Gods will rise, and the world will be consumed by chaos.
Overview
When the Immortal War finally ended, the world was left in ruins. The heavens were scorched. Oceans had boiled. Mountains had fallen. And the god… the once glorious keepers of creation, had turned on each other in a clash of power, pride, and madness. But of them all, three remained unbroken.
Fodohr - The Watcher of Time Brotla - the Whisperer of Secrets Elses - the Voice of Truth
Together, they rose not to rule… but to restore. They sealed away the corrupted gods, once-kin turned monsters and bound them in tombs of stone and silence, chaining them with sacred rites no mortal hand could break. These were the Forbidden Gods, deities so consumed by corrupted that they sought to unravel the laws of existence itself. But such a seal could not hold without living anchors.
So the Triad gifted their last blessings to mortals. They chose three mortal women, one for each god:
• One to See beyond time and illusion. • One to Hear the echoes of the divine and the cries of the dead. • One to Speak words that shaped fate and truth.
They became the Oracles.
With their task set, the gods faded from the mortal realm, leaving behind only the Chainbound Pact, the Oracles, and a world that was beginning to forget what it once feared. Now, not all gods perished or fell to corruption in the Immortal War. When the war ended, and Fodohr, Brotla, and Elses sealed the Forbidden Gods, a few lesser deities, scarred but untainted, remained behind. They were not strong enough to shape fate or forge chains. But they were inspired. These few surviving gods turned their grief into resolve. They could not rebuild the world, but they could help protect those who would preserve it. And so, they offered their essence to mortals, gifting fragments of divine power to those brave or foolish enough to accept. These were the first Guardians.
The Oracles
Who are they?
Oracle Who Sees — The Eye of Fate Sees glimpses of what is to come, but can’t interpret the visions clearly
Oracle Who Hears — The Ear of the Divine Hears divine and forbidden whispers, but can’t control what or who she hears.
Oracle Who Speaks — The Voice of Judgment Speaks divine truths into the world, but cannot lie
Each Oracle is granted the sacred right to choose two guardians to protect her. These selections are based on intuition, vision, prophecy, or personal trust, but not divine instruction. Their choice is binding, and steeped in ancient tradition: once chosen, a guardian cannot be dismissed or replaced except by death.
The Guardians
Who are they?
Guardian Candidates are mortal individuals marked by a divine blessing, all hoping to be chosen by one of the Oracles to serve as a guardian. They come from diverse backgrounds, each bearing potential and ambition.
Why?
The Guardians’ abilities grow stronger, maybe even gaining new aspects tied to the Oracle’s own divine gift (Sight, Sound, or Speech) (this can be discussed later with your Oracle!)
Our story will take place at the Rite of Choosing where our Oracle will choose two Guardians:
The Rite of Choosing is a sacred ceremony in which each of the three Oracles selects their two Guardians from among a group of god marked mortals. These Guardians will become their protectors, confidants, and extensions of their will on the journey to reinforce the weakening seals that bind the Forbidden Gods. Candidates each bearing gifts from the remaining gods will demonstrate their strength, skill, and faith to win the Oracle's favor. But the Rite is not untouched by mortal influence. Nobles, and political factions often pressure the Oracles to choose candidates who serve their interests, whether due to bloodline, influence, or raw magical power. An Oracle may be urged to choose a candidate who is strong, but untrustworthy, dangerous, or secretly loyal to another cause. Choosing poorly may cost her more than just protection, it could unravel the balance between the mortal and divine.
Rules
1. All players are expected to respect each other, if you have an issue with someone, please DM me. 2. You are allowed to play as many characters as you can handle. 3. Please try to post at least once a week(Real life will always come first, just let us know!) 4. Consequences of actions (magical, social, personal) should affect characters realistically. 5. Play within your character’s abilities and limits. No Godmodding! If you're a Guardian, your powers will gradually increase. Don't start off overpowered. 6. Guardians owe unwavering loyalty to their Oracle, but inner conflict and personal growth are encouraged to create dynamic storytelling. 7. An Oracle’s prophetic abilities are tied to her virginity. Losing it causes her visions to fade or vanish entirely. This rule creates tension around purity, sacrifice, and the cost of power. Only her prophetic abilities will be lost.(FTB in forum if you decide to take this character down this road) 8. Contact with artifacts or remnants of the Forbidden Gods corrupts mortals and even Oracles unless properly cleansed by the Oracles. 9. Secrets, hidden motives, and political intrigue are welcome. 10.Prophecies are cryptic and open to interpretation. Avoid metagaming prophecies as absolute truths to allow for mystery and suspense.
I'm also looking for two co-gm's to help me out with this. I'll be playing a Guardian, so a co-gm playing an Oracle would also be idle!
Drop a reply below if you're interested or DM if you'd like to co-gm!
Casey’s phone buzzed with a new message. She glanced down, a slow smirk curling her lips. 'I don't know... show me what I'd be missing out on.' The words daring her on were exactly the kind of challenge she lived for; backing down wasn’t in her nature.
She spotted a small, dimly lit bar and decided to make a quick stop. The buzz of conversation and clinking glasses filled the air as she slipped inside. She found the bathroom, its cracked mirror streaked with faint graffiti and pulled out her lipstick. Instead of words, she traced a bold, messy heart onto the glass. She smiled at her reflection, carefully reapplying her red lipstick before striking a pose. Bent just enough to let her cleavage spill from the white crop top, black cargos riding low on her hips, a teasing flash of lace at her waistline, she winked and playfully stuck her tongue out at the mirror.
Satisfied with the shot, she snapped the picture, the cracked mirror capturing her bold, playful expression perfectly. She typed: ’thought you could handle this’ She hit send and slipped her phone back into her pocket.

Drinking her beer, Casey leaned back against the cool wood of the bar, a slow smile tugging at her lips as the rhythm of the music pulsed through her body. Her eyes scanned the crowd, but she let herself get lost for a moment in the beat, savouring the raw energy in the room.
A familiar face in the corner of her eye drew her attention, pulling her from the music’s hypnotic pull. She turned slightly, sipping her beer. ‘Vex’ she was the definition of badass and the best tattoo artist in the city. She inked the serpent that slithered from Casey’s right ankle, coiling up around her thigh, then winding up her hip and her back. The serpent’s head, poised to strike, ended just below her collarbone, a permanent mark of power and danger.
Her eyes narrowed at the man who slid behind her. Casey knew Vex could handle herself, but she kept her eyes on them. For the most part, Casey liked to move through public spaces like a shadow, unseen, unnoticed, blending seamlessly into the background until she chose to reveal herself. The ring made her some enemies, whether it was someone nursing a lost bet or someone she’d beaten in the cage.
Casey grinned, seeing Vex’s fist collide with the man’s face, sending him stumbling backwards. With a final chug, she finished her beer, pushed off the bar, and slipped through the sea of gyrating bodies toward the dance floor.
The neon lights streaked across the windshield as Casey gunned through the streets, weaving through traffic like the city belonged to her. Horns blared, lights flashed, but it only fed her grin. She glanced in the rearview mirror to catch the glaring eyes of the driver tailing too close.
“Come to play?” she asked, shifting gears, sliding into the next lane and easing off the gas until both cars rolled to a stop at the red light. She caught the driver’s smirk from the corner of her eye as he revved his engine. Her lips curled, "Not tonight." She revved her engine hard, the vibration rattling through the street like a promise. Her grin widened as the light changed from red to green. She slammed on the gas, tires squealing against the asphalt as her car shot forward, leaving her challenger swallowed in a cloud of burning rubber and smoke. The night was her playground.
One hand was steady on the wheel, her other scrolling through her phone’s contact list, eyes flicking between the glow of the screen and the blur of the road ahead. Her thumb hovered over a name Damon Kessler, about as exciting as dry toast, but hell, did he know how to fuck. There was no room in her life for romantic attachment, and their night together was primal. His hands were rough, and hers demanding, their movements ravenous. Grazing teeth, kisses that landed hard, ragged breaths in the dark. The air thick with sex and sweat. No soft words or lingering touches, just the drive for release, leaving them both exhausted and satisfied.
Lost in thoughts of that night, she nearly missed her destination. She pulled into a dimly lit parking lot, the engine quieting as she set the car in park. Though she loved the rush of speeding through the night, she always welcomed the cool night air against her skin. The nightlife thrived in the gritty corners, dark alleys lit only by flickering signs, underground clubs pumping bass that rattled your bones, the scent of street meat sizzling nearby. Laughter and shouted conversations spilled onto the streets, blending with the distant sound of sirens. It was a beautiful, chaotic symphony, one she had always known, one that would always feel like home.
A quick glance at her watch told her it was still too early for the show, but she wasn’t missing the return of Vein Theory. Boredom tugged at her as she lingered on the sidewalk. She unlocked her phone, staring at the name again. Repeats weren’t her thing.Onenight stands were easy, clean, and forgettable. Yet her fingers moved anyway, typing before she could talk herself out of it:
'got some energy to burn….. thought you might want to help'
For a moment, hesitation held her, the cursor blinking like it was daring her. Fuck it she hit send. She shook her head and laughed to herself, then shoved her phone back into the pocket of her cargo pants and kept walking.
I messed up somewhere with the advanced sheet and had to copy everything to the basic ; - ; but here she is!

Background
Current Occupation: Cage Fighter Level of Schooling(if any): Some college, she planned on going to nursing school. Past Occupations (if any): Brawler, Bartender Socioeconomic Status: Middle Class History Summary: Branded a traitor and cast out for daring to love a rival wolf from a pack her own had feuded with for generations, she was forced to face an impossible choice. Her Alpha demanded her loyalty: renounce the man she loved or walk away from her pack forever.
She chose love, she chose exile.
Young, in love and finally free of rules, they lived on their own terms, a freedom that tasted sweeter than any chain of duty or pack loyalty. Fast cars, bar fights, and nights spent chasing the edge. It wasn’t long before they found themselves drawn into the brutal world of underground Lycan brawls. The fights were savage, the pay quick, and the risks high. And on the nights when their bodies collided in a fierce, unspoken hunger, it was all the proof she needed that love was worth the price. For a time, she dared to believe it was enough. The small-time fights were barely enough to keep them afloat, and their rising success got to his head, and it changed him. He grew cocky, negligent, and distant, no longer the man Casey had fought beside. Eventually, she came home to find him with another woman, it was a betrayal that crushed the fragile bond they had left. The man she had given up her pack, her home, and her future for was gone, replaced by someone she barely recognized. He had shattered her completely.
Her grief and anger found a home in the underworld of Halcyon. The cage fights welcomed her wrath, and the ring became her refuge. Every hit carries the weight of her defiance, every victory a slap in the face of those who abandoned her. She fought with coiled patience, biding her time until the perfect moment to strike. Her moves were quick and fluid, like a shadow slipping between attacks, sacrificing brute strength for lethal speed. Born from the venom of betrayal, she became The Viper
