"But are the beds provided?" Mags asks quietly, glancing around, feeling the barracks lawyer in her rising up. "I hate to say this, but it sound like we need permission for everything. They gave us a room, but I don't remember anyone telling us they were providing beds, much less mattress, sheets, or blankets. And that one's ripped. If they are providing beds, why give us a ripped mattress?"

Sorry, wanted to save some of the details for later. From the stories she was told as a kid, the settlers of New Iowa crossed space in covered wagons with Monopoly being the only way to pass the time. And the Imperial Navy didn't make her into a warrior-elite fighter pilot on a ship of the line, she was doing grunt work on an aging repair ship. The eggs were for her mother, worried something would happen and Lara wouldn't be able to have kids when she got out.

I'm thinking of bringing in a cargo rigger/electronics tech with a bad conduct discharge. They know how to throw a punch and how to shoot a pistol. Not a lot of shooting practice, though.

Is the ship itself armed? Are major weapons hidden? Grappler guns?
What sort of cargo is the ship taking on?
What do people wear on Earth and in the colonies? Is it all conventional? Seeing how there's magic, do some opt to wear a lot of robes?

Most people in our world have heard of vampires, werewolves, etc. I take it you want to know if everyone knows it's true? They do exist?
How many would want to become vampires or something else?
