Bio
Look, I got lost on the way to getting some jajangmyeon and it'd be foolish to leave now.
It was hard for Connie to peg down one emotion she was feeling at the moment. On the one hand, there was the natural excitement that came with a new school year and all the new possibilities it brought. On the other, last year at Orean Cause wasn't exactly memorable for her, try as she wanted she just never seemed to make any friends and more than one of her teachers yelled at her - not her fault that they taught math in a way that was far too complicated to understand. And if that wasn't bad enough, she didn't even get to perform in the school play because she missed the audition to take a math test she had failed.
Math. Always out to get her.
But Connie was determined not to let the failures of last school year keep her down, and this year she came prepared. As she listened to the speech with eyes wide and smile never fading, she nodded along to the words. There was going to be a party later, but Connie had additional plans for something to do instead of, or at least after, the party.
In her hands was a stack of papers, hand made and copied, with big, blocky words on them:
CONNIE BLENDIN'S FIRST MOVIE NIGHT OF THE YEAR!
With the students free to mingle, Connie set off, walking along the main grounds, stopping and handing out the fliers to any interested student.
"Movie night! After tonight's party! All are welcome! Bring a snack! Bring a blanket! Bring anything you want!" Connie was eager to hand them out and even more eager at the possibility of someone attending. She was not looking forward to repeating the mistakes of last year.
Name: Ryan Augustine
Nickname/Alias/Etc: Specter
Gender: Female
Age: 27
Height: 1.70m
Weight: 58.5 kg
Status: Working With Local Criminals
Convictions:
-The only official charge on her record is an assault charge
-Has been arrested multiple times and yet has no time behind bars
-Arrested on charges of larceny, grand theft auto, possession, and resisting arrest, all of which have been dropped.
Appearance
Hair Color: Unknown. She does have hair but the color varies. Her natural hair color is known to her and a select few only.
Eye Color: Unknown. Brown is what she most commonly has been seen with.
Ethnicity & skin color: Biracial, Caucasian and African. Light Tan skin.
Physical Appearance: Ryan is of slender frame and average build, which is vital in her line of work. Behind the clothing she wears, or rather underneath, is a body that, while not a mass of muscles, is at least cared for on a fairly regular basis though there is still body fat to be found. She's not that obsessed. Her hair, whenever it's not hidden under a wig or a hat, is always cut short and out of the view of her eyes, which are perhaps her most easily identifiable feature being wide and expressive. Perhaps that is why she often hides them behind glasses. Her face is slightly wide in the cheek, but clever application of makeup does the trick. With proper prosthetic she could pass for a male, but such luxuries are never afforded in the local crime world.
LAST KNOWN PHOTOGRAPH
Attire: Ryan dresses to fit the situation, be that some casual in-style outfit straight out of an issue of Vogue or a black-tie approved dress or even a blazer and dress pants befitting someone attending a business meeting. In Ryan's case the saying 'the clothes make the man' is literal. 'The clothes make the woman'. When she's not out and about doing what people pay her to do, she likes to dress in a very business casual manner, blouse, skirt, sometimes heels, a fancy hat, sometimes a suit jacket...casual but professional all the same.
Personality
Outward & Innate Personality: There's a switch that happens to Ryan that turns it 'on', whatever 'it' so happens to be. For the most part, that means being sociable, laughing at terrible jokes, mingling, being involved, carrying a conversation no matter how dull it is. Ryan is a social butterfly when the need arises but when she's not on assignment she's quite introverted and prefers not to hang around people for long, just long enough for her to put a face to a name and not long enough for them to start delving into her personal life. Ryan is a very singular person, which has all but ruined her non-professional relationships, including those of her family. But you don't last long if you start developing relationships in this world.
Hobbies/Interests: Ryan is a fan of classic cinema and maintains a firm belief that any film made after the sixties is not worth the time, she often names herself after relatively obscure cinema characters and claims there is no risk to that because "No one knows the classics because nothing blows up and no one is in a super suit." Botany is an interest of hers, she kept a mini flower garden on her windowsill at her old place. Funk and jazz music, both of which she always listens to before and after a job, often with no disregard for others when it comes to volume. Generally the jazz is for pre-job and the funk is for post-job celebrations.
Skills/Talents: Ryan is charismatic, able to engage a small crowd of people or an individual both from the way she speaks and how she puts a focus on appearance: just enough to catch the eye, but not extravagant enough to draw everyone's attention; this also makes her good at fooling people into thinking she belongs in places where she clearly does not, such as private parties or meetings. In line with the charisma, Ryan is good at thinking quickly, or at improvisation because questions do so often arise. While not photographic, Ryan has a good memory and not just in regards to room layout, but with faces and names.
Prized Possession: A silver ring she wears on her left pinky finger.
History/Bio: Ryan was born in Chicago to a father who wanted a son so he could have a future NBA star and a mother who simply wanted a child that would make her proud. Neither parent got their wish. Ryan didn't perform particularly well academically, always just doing enough to get by, but she was still part of the 'popular' clique because the only test she needed to pass for that was being both physically attractive and able to gossip with the best of them. Flying colors, that test. It was in high school that Ryan first started swindling people, using batted eyelashes and promises of favors to get things, simple things, like lunch money or test answers. That developed into college until she was caught stealing and forced to leave, which wound up being a waste of money for her parents as she was not on a scholarship.
Fortunately, there was work to be found in an urban space like Chicago, and it is there where Ryan honed her unique talents, starting small and lifting from businessmen and women at fundraisers before offering her services to local criminals with the promise of being able to hit banks so long as she got a decent cut of the profits. She's been involved in crime ever since her teenage years, and it would be foolish to stop now.
That said, the fact that her criminal record is so...unusual bears discussion, though bring it up to Ryan and she'll surely have some practiced answer to take the heat off.
Family:
-Michael Augustine (Father, retired postal worker)
-Donna Augustine (Mother, secretary for a company)
-Derek Augustine (Younger Brother, student)
-Alice Augustine (Grandmother, cashier at a convenience store, night shift)
-Floyd Augustine (Grandfather, deceased)
-Jessica Rodriguez (Unknown relation, possible flame.)
Relationships
Relationships: (Basically a section where you put your character's thoughts on the other ones they've encountered. You can also talk to other people and decide what your characters relations will be.) [Character name] | [Impression (Good/Bad/Neutral]] | [Relationship (Friend, Rival, Crush, etc)] | [Character's thoughts [EX: I think Bob is quite the amiable fellow, has a great head on his shoulders, but is kinda daft]] |
Abilities
Expertise: Chameleon. Ryan excels in going into a location and getting information on things such as camera layout, guard rotations, and potential structural weaknesses. She can also run distractions by entertaining guests in the event of heists being carried out at social events. Her job is to get in, blend in, gather information, and leave without leaving any trace that she was there.
Physical condition: Ryan isn't exactly fast nor is she some kind of athlete, but she is in okay physical condition. She's not there for her physical strength or stamina, not is she there to fire guns. She won't get tired out instantly from running, but don't ask her to sprint.
Mental condition: More street smart than book smart, with a hell of a memory to boot.
Limitations: As a chain smoker, her stamina leaves much to be desired and she often has coughing fits and has the potential to suffer from withdrawal if she goes without smoking. Strenuous physical activity or things involving firearms are out of the question, as both would be far too painful or complicated.
With chameleon you mean something like an infiltrator or an intrigant/agent?
Someone who is good at blending in with a crowd and good at casing a place. Like they can go in and mingle. Say they are after a bank, a chameleon can go in and interact with the tellers while also taking note of things like camera placement and such.
