@MeleckHey could you shoot me a PM, and let me know what you had in mind? I want to keep the party at 5, but I think we could work out something else if you wanted to participate in this RP.
@ParzivolI forgot to say before that I love that Huntress skin! So sick!
I actually think he looks great and the enchanted weapon sounds pretty bad-ass. There are weapon enchantments in this world, just know that in the presence of erasure wards their effects are dampened. I'm impressed that you've managed to make a character genuine to the Trident tribes despite how little lore I've provided for them because I honestly didn't think anyone would be interested in them. I'll shoot you some lore info relevant to your character (things they might know, religions, etc.) in a PM. Apologies for not having more there initially! He's accepted, but I'm including some small things to consider for him as a character. Feel free to add him to the characters tab.
Things to think about for Sigemund:
Tribal naming conventions are a mix of the Scandinavian names that the Brith are influenced by and the more indigenous native names in parts of Alaska (ie. Inuit). Maybe his last name could be changed to suit that, but as I said Brith culture has influenced the tribes a lot so it's not unheard of to have the "son" naming convention. I'm fine with the name staying as is, but just wanted to give you a heads up.
Also, this may be something that we can work around if necessary, but the idea was that each character has somehow become indebted to the North Astorian Trading Company, a joint-stock trading company that has a lot of power and legitimacy. I forgot to include the letter prompt in the OOC because I initially included it in the interest check. It reads as follows:
To our most trusted and loyal of beneficiaries,
It is, today on the 1st of Merrus, 41 Owl that we humbly request your presence in a meeting with our representatives. The North Astorian Trading Company is an honored and respected guild that prides itself on compassion and civic duty above all else. As such, it is most imperative to our efforts that the debts that our patrons incur be returned to us in full. We understand that, of course, the scarcity of coin in such uncertain times means you may not have the funds necessary to return to us what is owed. It is for this reason, that instead, we've arranged a deal that is beneficial for both parties.
You are to arrive at Lo Porto de Caracas on the 18th of Summerhill in this same year, 41 Owl. Your traveling and lodging expenses will be satisfied per our arrangement. Your passage to the city will see you arrive early in the morrow. Once there, youโre to meet with one Tali Riverend, a reliable contact. Youโll recognize her by nipped ears and white hair. Sheโll await you at the local caupona- La Resplenda, and will be expecting your prompt arrival. Come, and enjoy all that the rose-petal city has to offer!
We assure you there is little promise in the lives you lead at present. Adventure beyond the familiar, and return your favors in the process. There is so little to lose, and everything to gain. Secure your future with The North Astorian Trading Company.
Should you fail to comply with our requests please know that The North Astorian Trading Company is determined to uphold its reputation as a forceful presence in Ithea no matter the cost. Do be sure to brush up on your Caracan!
Your eyes and ears, Mikael ibn Da'ud
But quite honestly I'm okay with characters getting here for different reasons if that works best for the party. It was really my way of giving your character a reason to come to the Dales. Let me know what you think in that regard.
@ParzivolYes there is, though you'd likely be the cut off save for side/villains characters or drop-outs! I was aiming for 3-5 player characters as more has tended to make my brain hurt. When you start to work on your CS feel free to message me with questions about lore pertinent to your character (or concept), and I can help :)
@BlitzyThank you so much man. You're welcome to do whichever you want. We have an interesting potential cast thus far including a ruination/apparition mage, a Brith Bard, and a strength-based rogue. As usual, whichever you should decide just let me know if there are any lore based questions.
@KassarockHey Kassarock, I managed to get all my assignments done early @_@ so I had more time to look over Karlus. After further review I really can't find anything that I'd change! Feel free to add him to the Characters tab when you get the chance!
Content Warning: This RP may contain uncomfortable or violent themes. While this won't make up the entirety of the RP it will be featured. Quests will feature a summary (and content warning) as well as links to the starting point. If a quest features a topic you are uncomfortable with feel free to skip over it.
Summary: After coming into contact with a letter from the North Astorian Trading Company a motley band of people from across Ithea sail for Caracas, often known as the Canal and Rose-Petal City. Upon arriving there, however, the group quickly discovers that something is amiss...
Arrive in Caracasโ : Upon arriving in Caracas the party was greeted by throngs of people stranded at the port with guards preventing entry further into the city.
Meet with Tali Riverend โ: Tali Riverend was nowhere to be found when the party arrived to La Resplenda.
Deal with Guard Captain Rial Armonte โ : The party managed to subdue the captain without casualties.
Find Karlus โ : The mage hadn't gotten far. The party found him unconscious in an alleyway.
Follow the stranger to safetyโ : The stranger was a mage named Horatz. He brought the party to an underground fortification obscured by magics and time. It was here that the League of Magi sought refuge from the war raging throughout Caracas.
I should mention, since I know a few others are working on a character sheet, if you wish to keep your character's history largely secret you can write a brief summary for their character sheet, and send me the fuller description. This just helps me to make it more relevant to the narrative for each of you!
