Finley mentally applauded her handiwork as she watched the news people scramble. The reporter lady was fuming mad. She merely shrugged off Taylor's comment. "Far as I can tell, it was an accident. And the only evidence is now shattered on the ground. They just don't know when to quit. It's bad enough we have the cops running around without any clue, but now we got news people searching. Not to mention the FBI lady here now."

As if on cue, her cell buzzed. She opened it and read the message from Jenna. It seems the FBI lady made her way to Jenna. Hopefully, she would be freed soon. She had some things to do. She really wanted to see the scene with her own eyes, but she wasn't sure if Declan or Taylor would tag along. Not that she didn't want that. It was more of a "her and Jenna" thing. Still, couldn't hurt to ask.

"So..this is gonna sound crazy, and that's coming from the girl who just destroyed the personal property of the Channel 34 news, but I was about to head over to where they found the mayor's body. I know it sounds crazy, but I need to see it for myself. You guys are welcome to come along, but I would understand if you didn't want to." Not only that, but she also needed to determine what she would do about her vision. Should she share it? She trusted Taylor and Declan. She trusted Jenna. That was about as much as she trusted anyone. Perhaps she should talk to them. "If not, maybe we can hang later? At the cafe maybe? I have the day off and as much as it pains me to say this and I will kill you if you repeat it, they actually have really good coffee and I could go for some." She shot out a reply to Jenna as well.

History

Life Before the Murder: Whitney was the only child of Chester and Melinda VanBurg and she didn't want for much. Chester's family was well known and had money. Lots of it. Melinda didn't want to admit that the life excited her. She fell for Chester due to his charm. They were wed and shortly after, she gave birth to Whitney. They showered Whitney with lots of things. Whitney went to school and, due to her family's wealth, she was liked amongst her peers and was considered popular.

Life behind the scenes wasn't gold plates and diamonds though. Chester would verbally and physically abuse Melinda. He would always hide it from Whitney, but Whitney knew. Melinda never mentioned it, but Chester would threaten to hurt Whitney if Melinda didn't go through with his desires. He threatened to ruin her and make her life a mess should she ever decide to leave. Melinda pushed through it all, but she saved what evidence she could. A bruise here, a picture there, a voice recording. She didn't have all the evidence she desired, but Chester came home drunk and angry and made his way into Whitney's room when she was only 12. That night, Melinda fought back in front of Whitney's eyes. Whitney called the police and they came and arrested Chester. With the evidence Melinda collected, along with Whitney's testimony, they were able to get Chester locked up for years.

Melinda took Whitney and moved to Silver Falls to start a new life. She took on her maiden name Carlyle and worked her way up to where she owned her own bookstore. Whitney, having dealt with the emotional abuse of her father, tended to find guys who were bad for her. Along came Ryan who treated her like dirt, but she dealt with it, until she had the audacity to break up with him. To this day, he threatens to leak the fact the two slept together, despite not having done so.

Whitney tries her best to do well in school, hoping to major in psychology and become a counselor for domestic abuse victims. She tries to keep a smile on her face despite it all. Even when Lucy Taylor was murdered.

History with Lucy Taylor: Whitney knew Lucy from High School. At the start, they ran in the same circle, but Whitney wouldn't have called the two of them friends. She didn't hate Taylor, but she didn't like her either. When Whitney was ostracized from the group, Lucy didn't bat an eyelash. Lucy would make her remarks about Whitney, but other than that the two avoided each other. Whitney wouldn't want her death to happen to anyone though.

Lilith was just thankful Folly and Thalia was alive. "I've missed your wit. I am glad you're ok. Not sure on the details, but we're alive." She stood up and looked around. Everyone seemed either confused, angry, upset or a combination of the above. The talk of time tubes and wormholes through her for a loop and she was a girl that talked to the undead.

"So what do we do about all of this? If one of our only chances is dead now, how do we stop time from being fucked up so we can leave?" She had to imagine that with the lot of them here, at least someone would have some idea on what to do. I mean, they had a witch, an angel, a medium, among others. Surely they can wrack their brains together to figure something out.

"Perhaps we can put some of our skills to use? I, for one, can talk to spirits and predict the future. Whatever good that will do now, I am not sure, but if it means getting the hell out of here, I'm down to help."

Millicent couldn't care less about the dead girl. For all, she knew it was her fault that she was dragged here in the first place. And then some woman had the gall to address her like that? No, Millicent was not one to stand idly by and be chastised like some school child. So when Seraphine was pushing, she pushed back. "Oh, you saved my life, did you? Being brought here against my will by some demon doesn't sound like saving my life. Being outside of my own time doesn't sound like saving my life. Having some girl dead who, apparently, was a good way of getting out of here doesn't sound like saving my life. You killed it with a sword, want me to bow?" She gave a sarcastic applause and curtsied for Seraphina. Brava, my dear. Still, doesn't help us in our current predicament does it?"

She waved Seraphine off as she went to do her light trick. Should the girl continue, she would be meeting the end of her own blade, angel or not. She listened to the others talk before she spoke up. "Whatever can be done needs to be done. I am not spending the rest of my time with this lot. So, fix the..wormhole as you put it."
