I have this feeling that this whole time, Brutrumukk and Jub thought Gabe was right behind them but at some point, they're gonna realise they left him behind and going to be like "Oh shit..."
Also, they might briefly wonder if fairies kidnapped him.
Appearance: Due to a childhood illness stunting her development, Tami is unusually small and underweight for her age, standing at about 5'2" (and appearing even shorter thanks to constant slouching). This, combined with dull, sunken eyes gives her an overall frail look. Her skin is mainly an umber brown, contasted with pale, translucent blue fins and bioluminescent freckles she has all over her body, some connected together with glowing white veins. She has a small, blue, tadpole-like tail which is often hidden beneath skirts and dresses she favours.
Personality: On the surface, Tami appears to be a very aloof individual: she's very subdued in her emotions - her expressions ranging from pouting to a half-smile - and doesn't seem to have any real goals or sense of urgency. She just drifts around, going along with the majority and just seeming to enjoy whatever she finds herself to be doing... as long as it doesn't involve hard work, that is. This is down to Tami's outlook on life: she only has so much time and energy per day, so why waste it on being upset, angry or worried? She prefers to live in the here and now, not concerning herself with the future and preferring short-term fun and enjoyment over long-term success and goals. She also encourages others around her to do the same. Expect her to lend her ear to others, listening to them vent their worries and frustrations, and then suggest they go do something fun. She won't give any advice or way to solve a problem, but she does want to help and thinks taking your mind of something that's bothering you is the best way to deal with it. Sometimes she's right and it does help, other times not so much....
In truth, though, Tami has her own problems, struggling with feelings of inadquecy, uncertainty and anxiety that she just doesn't know how to deal with, so she chooses... not to, keeping her worries to herself while seeming like nothing really bothers her or gets her down, and hiding her insecurities behind a wall of odd humor and obliviousness. Nanari Kulull: Tami's mother. Graduate of Lorehold college. Works as consultant for historical dramas, both written and televised. Actually used to be a writer herself, but got a nasty bout of writer's block at some point while Tami was sick that she's never been able to get out of. Intelligent, with very strong beliefs about the cyclical nature of history and the workings of fate.
Seng Kulull: Tami's younger brother. Is only 11 but is already thinks he knows that he knows more than most adults. Because of Tami's condition, he does feel somewhat neglected by his family, though he tries to make it seem like it doesn't bother him. Genuinely cares and worries for his sister, even if he'll never admit it out loud. Hopes to one day go to Strixhaven himself, with a particular interest in Quandrix.
Dr. Eres Nend: Tami's maternal uncle. Graduate of Witherbloom college, now a doctor of medicine. Moved in with his sister's family not long after Tami first got sick. Essentially a third parent to Tami and Seng. Has a bleak sense of humor (much to his patients' chagrin). Dabbled in experimental medicine which he tests on himself (much to his sister's chagrin).
Adur Nend: Tami's maternal grandfather. Moved in with his daughter's family after a recent decline in his health. Very cantankerous and prone to having episodes of extreme melancholy. Has developed a close bond with Tami over their shared health problems and dislike of constantly being fussed over.
Ota Nend: Tami's maternal grandmother. Died when Tami was very young, but her loss is still very strongly felt by her offspring and husband. Silverquill graduate, who actually wanted to teach at Strixhaven but decided against it as, after having kids, she wanted to work closer to home.

While she did start to recover in her preteens, the effect with this had on her growth, immune-system and energy was lasting, which lead to her parents just deciding to keep her permanently out of school and be in charge of her education themselves. Despite their best efforts, this has left Tami with some issues such as lacking social skills, quite large gaps in her knowledge and emotional problems due to a feeling of stagnation, helplessness and loneliness.
Things got particularly bad around ages 12 and 13, where Tami became extremely depressed due to feeling that, despite still being very young, her life was essentially over. Eventually, this all escalated to her having a breakdown during one of her lessons which lead to her retreating to her room and, after declaring she "didn't want to be here anymore", quite literally turning herself invisible. She was stuck like that for over a day, though surprisingly her family members were freaked out about it than Tami herself was. In fact, Tami found it quite peaceful almost, as it allowed her to walk around without everyone fussing and keeping an eye on her. Eventually, though, she did get tired of not being able to be seen and, after letting out a lot of emotions she didn't even realise she had been holding in for the last few years, she returned to normal.
Tami's life got a bit frantic after that, as her family struggled on what to do now they knew Tami had magical talent, whether they should attempt to teach her as part of her homeschooling or send her to a proper school. It was Tami's uncle Eres, a doctor and Witherbloom graduate, who believed that going to Strixhaven, which he and Tami's mum had both attended, would be good for Tami, as it would not only help with her education and future, it would also give her change scenery and the chance for friendships and new experiences, which would very much help with her mood. It took a while, but they did eventually agree to send Tami to Strixhaven once she reached age 14.
Tami herself was conflicted on this: she's excited for the chance at new experiences but is genuinely afraid of change and whether she would be okay without her family watching out for her. Plus, she's not even really sure what she wants to do with her future, or if there's really a future for her, due to her limitations. Still, she did agree to go along with it, at least for the first year. On fourteenth birthday, her family all gave her different presents to aid during her time at school: her dad bought her a broom, her mother and uncle worked together to make her wand using materials that both her historical meaning and strong magical properties that would best help her, her brother Seng bought her a familiar, a tiny hermit crab called Helix, and her grandad Adur bought her a little journal for her to write things down, particularly things she wants to remember. With these gifts, her family's best wishes and (somewhat) renewed hope for the future, Tami prepares for her first year at Strixhaven.
Strengths: Easy Going: Due to a conscious effort not to be bothered by anything or dwell on the negative, Tami finds the ability to give a dry chuckle towards anything remotely bad... even when she probably shouldn't.
Gain two adversity tokens instead of one when you fail a stat check.
Loyal: While she doesn't do much towards her own long-term goals or problems, Tami's willing to lend a hand with whatever shenanigans her friends are up to.
Each of the AT you spend to help friends gives them a +2 rather than a +1.
Innocent: Just look at her picture. You can trust that face.
Once per scene (with the GMs permission), you can spend 2 AT to convince an adult to not punish you for a minor transgression.
Unassuming (when on Broom): While it may look a little shabby, it's lack of flashiness and quick movement allows Tami to get out of the line of sight quite quickly and avoid suspicion.
You may spend 2 AT to remain unseen, within reason.
Flaws: Unmotivated: Due to her condition, Tami doesn't have much energy to expend on a daily basis and as such, tends to be very picky about what is and isn't worth the energy. Expect her to prioritize short-term enjoyment or things that would benefit her loved ones over her own future betterment and success.
Flippant: Tami hides her more depressing thoughts and feelings behind a very relaxed demeanor and dry sense of humor, and dislikes dwelling on things that are negative, upsetting or urgent. Her tone also makes it hard to tell when she's joking or not. Expect her to say outlandish or strange things in a very ominous tone, only to quickly give a tiny smirk and say "Just kidding" (which she may also follow up with a equally ominous "Or am I?). This makes getting a read on her or having a serious conversation with her extremely frustrating at times.
Fear: Atychiphobia: The fear of failure. Having spent so long relying on others to take care of her, Tami has very little to go off when it comes to her own abilities and doesn't have much confidence that she'll succeed. As such, she prefers not to try at all, believing that that's better than going through so much effort and stress only to ultimately fail.
Likes: Sleeping, messing with people, very strong tea, synthwave and lo-fi music, cool colour tones, long flowy fabric
