Jub the Peculiar

When Brutrumukk had finished relaying this plan, Jub nervously raised his hand. "Err, there is one teensy problem," he said. He motioned to himself. "As I've mentioned before, the Carnival took my ability to keep secrets," he said. "Which is... the last thing you want when you're planning a surprise attack." He looked down at the ground, almost ashamedly. "I'm probably going to have to hang back with you Brut. Unless someone wants to be constantly covering my mouth during this exchange... which would probably look very, very suspicious."
So gonna be traveling very soon, might be able to slide a quick, short post in before I go, but after that likely won't before I'm home.

@XxFellsingxX Would it be easier for you if I had Fellwing run towards the voice after all (maybe she slips away so others don't notice and therefore can't give chase) or to have her hang around as an NPC meanwhile? I'm down for either.

Yeah, either could work. If you feel the former works for Fellwing's character right now, go for it.
Been quiet round here. Everyone doin' okay?
Brutrumukk: Yeah, everybody knows Widdershins! 'Ave you lot been livin' under a rock or somethin'?
Brutrumukk's Thoughts: Haha hahahahaha! I got no bloody idea what Widdershins are! An' I literally live under a rock!

To be fair, had the Carnival not taken Jub's ability to keep secrets, he would also try and bluff and pretend he knew what widdershins were xP

Jub looked so genuinely surprised by Zavakri's compliment of his magical skill that for a moment, he didn't really know what to say. Eventually he gave an awkward cough and laugh before saying, "Oh, err, it was nothing really." He then bashfully ducked his head and turned his attention back to Brutrumukk's conversation with the redcap.

After trying (and failing) to deceive the fey into their true intentions, their group must have struck some cord with Bloody Toes because she revealed a piece of information, "Bavlorna Blightstraw is allergic to Widdershins. Can't stop sneezing!"

That seemed to catch Vansel's attention as he responded with, "She has a Widdershins allergy? Wow! I never would've guessed!"

Jub looked blankly from Bloody Toes to Vansel, before looking back over to Brutrumukk. He expected the bugbear to ask what Jub himself was thinking, but instead the barbarian came out with, "She's allergic to Widdershins, eh? Good to know. That'll definitely come in 'andy when we pick a fight with Bav.""

Jub gave a frustrated sigh and began rubbing one of his temples. "I currently feel like I'm in one of those reoccurring dreams I have where everyone knows what's going on except me. What in the Hells is Widdershins?" he asked.
... you know what I just remembered? Jub still has two uses of Charm of the Witchlight Monarch left, so he could have just flown up there.

*facepalm*

Let's just say he either forgot about that, or after wasting his first use of it he was like "Okay, I'm only going to use it very, very dire situations."
Jub the Peculiar

Jub opened his mouth to tell Brutrumukk that the butcher was unlikely to hand over the key just because he asked, when the woman... produced the key from her apron. Because Brutrumukk asked. "I really need to stop trying to figure out how this place works," Jub muttered to himself as he took the key from Brutrumukk. At very least, they weren't going to be eaten today. He unlocked Zavakri and Gabriel's cage.

OK. Go ahead and edit that into your recent post. ^_^

Done.
@XxFellsingxX Result of the check: Jub doesn't see the Thieves' Tools anywhere around in the Kitchen.

But he does see the crank on the railing of the balcony. Aurora is in the cage Brutrumukk brute-forced his way out. So at the very least, he can use the crank to pull the cages in, and Aurora can hop out. Gabriel and Zavakri's cage is still locked and closed though.

Oki dokes, Jub does that.
Jub the Peculiar

While Jub had partially assumed that, with those hooves, Vansel would prove a far surer climber than himself, he hadn't quite envisioned the manner in which the satyr would get them out of the cage. He made a few panicked yelps as they started swinging back and forth, and the motion caused his stomach to threaten to spew up the stew he had consumed earlier. Thankfully, he was able to keep it down and soon enough they were back on more solid ground.

Once Vansel had taken him off his shoulders, he took a moment to take a few deep calming breathes and waited for his nerves (and stomach) to settle down before trying to speak. "It was... certainly something," Jub eventually responded. "Thank you." He glanced back down at the cages where Aurora, Gabriel and Zavakri. "Don't worry, friends! I'll figure out some way to get you out..." He paused before looking back over to Brutrumukk, who apparently was having trouble with large bird. Typical. "I... just need to figure out how I'm going to do that," he muttered under his breath. Quickly, he scanned his surroundings, trying to see if there was anything in his vicinity that could be used to open the cage. Upon seeing the crank connected to the cages, Jub turned it in order to bring the remaining cages back up.
