Jub the Peculiar

When Jub had posed the hypothetical of trying to help Nibs, he had certainly not expected Nibs to make something for him on the spot. A small part of him even felt he should refuse the gift out of politeness... but it was a very small part of him.

Jub took the wand and held it up to the light, somewhat in awe of it, both from its physical appearance and because he could sense magic within it. It took a small nip on the head from Eighteyes to get to snap out of it. "Err, yes, t-thank you," he stammered out after a moment, before having to clear his throat a few times to avoid himself choking up. "I, erm... really do appreciate it." However, before he could say anything else, Voth stepped in, acting accusatory and instead offering to play a card game for a gift instead. In truth, he probably had a point in being so suspicious about such nice things...

... but he was Voth, so Jub refused to acknowledge that.

"Wow, Voth, you really are a barrel of laughs, aren't you?" Jub said drily to the bugbear. "You must be invited to lot of parties. Life and soul of them, in fact."

It was at that point Brutrumukk spoke up. It seems he had actually taken Jub's warnings to heart for once, and was actually asking Nibs some pretty good questions about the gifts and how his curse worked. Jub nodded to him approvingly.
Heard back from Vertigo. They seem to be quite busy at the moment and have told me not wait up for them. So the next post will be out at some point next week, all being well.
Have a rare empathic Jub. He's considering using his magic for good once and it's definitely not because he's feeling generous because this man said he was correct a few seconds ago
Jub the Peculiar

"Called it," Jub said when Nibs confirmed his theory, sounding a little more smug that he intended. "And I didn't even have to cast Detect Magic for that." He then glanced over at Nibs. He felt a pang of sympathy for the man. "Hey, err, there's spell called Remove Curse. I don't have it on me per se but, err... do you think it would help with your situation?"
Voth: *Mentions the three laws of Prismeer enforcing themselves.*

EVERYONE ELSE:

Jub isn't ignoring it, he knows, but I can understand why Voth wouldn't count him as 'everyone else'. XP
Jub the Peculiar

Jub briefly felt his heart stop as the owlbear suddenly approached him, only for it to start hammering the moment she picked him up. Startled, Eighteyes opened her wings and quickly flew up so she wasn't dragged along with her master. She only returned to him once Juniper let go, fluttering back onto the top of the shaken goblin's head as he lay for a moment, face down on the ground in front of Aurora.

"Yep. Never better," Jub grumbled as he raised his head. He picked himself up, brushing the dirt off him as he shot a glare at the owlbear. He followed the rest of the group to Nibs' cave with a grumpy expression, deciding to keep close to Aurora the whole time lest the owlbear attempt to 'fetch' him again for her. He also was displeased that Brutrumukk hadn't made any effort to call Voth out for the blatant lack of respect the bugbear was showing, and thus didn't really feel like interacting with him at the moment.

Once they reached the cave, Jub entered along with Aurora, though kept slightly behind her in case there was any threat. Thankfully, there was just some old man... spinning gold into thread? Weird, but definitely not the weirdest thing they'd encountered in the last few days. While Jub was briefly dazzled by such a collection of wealth, the moment Nibs said that he had been cursed by one of the hags, Jub quickly shook all thoughts of maybe pinching any of it.

However, when the man handed Aurora a pair of boots, Jub considered something. He put his bitterness towards Brutrumukk to the side to address the barbarian. "Hey, Brutrumukk," he said. "Maybe you can have this guy make you some new clothes if you're not too fond of that jester outfit." However, when he glanced over at the gnome, he already saw Brutrumukk was making a beeline for it. "Oh for the love of..." Jub shook his head again, this time in dismay. Despite knowing that it would probably do no good, he called out to Brutrumukk again, "You realise that stuff might be cursed, at least until he spins it, right?"
I will have a post up tomorrow.
Eleanor: If they catch us, they're gonna kill us
Annie: Then don't get caught 4head lol
Annie's list came to an abrupt halt as Eleanor grabbed her by her shoulders, and the hexblood's cheery demeanor faded fast as her expression turned to that of a startled rabbit. Her body tensed up, expecting the druid to start shaking her and shouting at her the way Aunt Ivette did when she was in trouble. Oh no, had she said something wrong?

However, Eleanor didn't shake her or shout. Instead, she leaned and whispered with urgency, explaining exactly the kind of situation they were in. Annie's brain was so frazzled by the sudden physical contact that it was having to race to catch up with what Eleanor was saying. Eventually, Eleanor backed off, which allowed Annie's mind to finish processing.

The fear on her face melted away to a more neutral expression. "Oh," she said eventually, before a smile returned to her face: a large grin showing off rows of pointy, shark-like teeth. "Is that all? Well then, all we have to do is win, and then none of us have anything to worry about!"
Annie: *casually lists threats or terrible things done in her life*
Eleanor:

Thank you, that was the exact reaction I was going for :D
