Doctor Raphael Vitella entered the room with Doctor Yeoman and Doctor Ferdinand in tow. "One of the patients has complained about the quality of the food we have left for the past three days. I hope the sensors have found a suitable planet by now." Doctor Ferdinand said to Doctor Vitella and Doctor Yeoman. "They will tell us if we have found a planet where we can resupply when they find it." Yeoman said to Ferdinand, her tone indicating that she was frustrated with such talk. "Enough, both of you. We need to focus or we might make a slipup at the wrong time." Raphael Vitella said to Yeoman and Ferdinand, the two other doctors becoming silent as he turned his attention to the Kiellar.

"This must be our lucky day. An alien planet. I volunteer to join the expedition. It will be nice to get off of this ship. Besides, we don't know if there is anythin' on the planet that might cause an injury serious enough to require immediate medical attention and we cannot afford any unnecessary losses." Doctor Raphael Vitella said to Ren.

"No hostiles spotted. Exterior area clear of threats. If you have evacuees, bring them to the extraction point, over." Redecker Krueger replied over the radio before continuing his surveillance. The outside of the building was quiet. Other than the occasional snake or lizard, there was no movement that he could see. "I see someone crawlin' towards the perimeter. I don't know if she's infected, but we can't take the risk. Adjustin' for change in wind direction. Takin' the shot." Redecker said over the radio before pulling the trigger, the target's head lifelessly falling to the ground. "Target is down. Resumin' surveillance. Nobody is gettin' in or out of the Area of Operations without our say-so." Krueger said over the radio as his attention returned to the surrounding area.

Okay, your character needs help deciphering the medallion. Though I need to ask this, how is academia denying your medallion or not helping with figuring out what the glyphs mean?

They claimed that medallion was not sufficient proof of a civilization that predates Ancient Sumer and denied him further access to university resources.

Depicted on the medallion is a multi-eyed deity holdin' a head to the sky with one hand and a battle ax in the other. The medallion also has glyphs that he can't identify.
