I do agree with Yandere's sentiment that words not wording workingly do be a problem this time of year.

Scratch that, place your bets on polymarket.

Looks like I'll be working on memorial day weekend. And no, this does not mean place any bets on polymarket.

due to a typo on my part I was nearly convinced I owed the IRS nearly $3000 in excess taxes this year.

-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.

'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.

That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.

Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.

In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..

RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

So I'd like to ask you guys: Do YOU think black cats are unlucky? And what are some of your other superstitions?

Back during the black death, having a shitload of cats hanging by your door meant they were finding something to eat, such as plague-rats.
-In addition, the Romani ("Gypsies") found cats distasteful as pets, because they lick themselves. The other cultures were not any less crazy about hating things.
+Having any animal crossing your path when hauling a motorized-cartwagon at-speed is not fun, especially if the animal is large enough to act as a wheel-chock and instantly seize it up.

Walking under a ladder as a small child is also bad-luck, as any worker up there may drop something upon your without warning, or you could trip it over and not have the strength to put it back up yourself, leaving some hapless sign-painter stranded 30 feet in the air.

Breaking mirrors was bad in the olden days because glass of any sort was not cheap, polished, optical-glass, with mirror-polished silver backing... yeah, that's a 7 year's wages you just broke...

Stepping on cracks doesn't make much sense to men... but to women wearing high-heels... Also a good way to teach children to watch where they step.
Pretty much NYC is America's Cardiff.

Insanely enough, most of those TV/movie scenes were shot in Vancouver. But Canadian laws don't much approve of such shenanigans for a good RP.

Casual is usually a safe level to start. Free for when you feel the need for an RP NOW and don't mind it either being rough around the edges or spinning its plot in the mud.

Could probably set-up a mercenary-guild RP, complete with tavern and mission-threads.

Clicking on the OP's link after a Five Nights at Freddie's marathon was not one of my proudest moments.
Can do some of the fandoms if using the abridged versions, and most of the original pairings (although I'd have to think of a setting/plot that results in less-than-hostile relations).

Posting so I don't send a redundant response next week.
Could've sworn I posted a PM...

So, world conquest?
@Foster Thanks for the interest, but ya it seems our schedules would keep us pretty slow if really moving at all. Plus, a slaver should have a bit of a mean streak. Nice guys in the wasteland don't last long.

Just because they're relatively nice doesn't mean they don't have a brutally mean streak, so assuming nice guys don't know how to fight can prove fatal. Just means they're more sympathetic than most.

Being relatively nice just means my characters don't behead slaves at random, but does not mean they don't makes slaves' heads 'splode when trying to burn down their house.

Example: MGS5's Quiet is relatively nice.

*completely missed the assassin-duo*

And yeah... I'm probably a last-resort to spin the wheels on.
>Wonders how original the original pairing can be.

Dragon shifters? Or griffon shifters, maybe? I'm not sure. ^^

...

Sure, I'll even double-up with riders, because that would hit the boundaries of how many different ways to double-up.

*Throws a war-against-shifters into the mix for good measure*
>Foster kicks up some dust as he enters.

Sure, but due to combined schedules, I wouldn't expect our RP to go much faster than one or two posts per week. Maybe three; which would require everything else in my life to grind to a halt first.

Done fallout reasonably well *(according to Sarafene), tried slavers multiple times but always ended up being "too nice" to be a stereotypical cut-throat slaver. So don't expect me to go cutting-off fingers for not doing the dishes on time, it's not my style. That said, it is my style to immerse the characters in a setting where such behavior is abhorrently common. (in short: the "relatively-nice grumpy-guy/girl")
