I don’t suppose it would. It would only be if necessary, like you said. No reason to ever make it so.

Trust plays a large part into our team. But I'm sure you're more than familiar with team dynamics.

*Pats you on the shoulder and steps back*
Maybe you should take the time that I would have taken to show you my lab and get some rest, instead. My lab and I will still be there when you wake up. You can drop in any time.

*Chuckles*
A good way to think about a peer.

The thought doesn't concern me.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>

Huh. Why is it necessary for that rank to indicate authority? Why can’t The Legend be 463rd or whatever but still have authority like he’s number three?

Because of convenience and the fact that it is still relatively true. I have no doubt that he has a way to end me, if necessary.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>

Do many people get their rank modified to grant necessary authority or is that unique to him?

It's happened twice, to my recollection.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>

Well, I don’t suppose cunning is factored in power measurements then.

To some degree it is, but his rank is representative of his authority.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>

I’m assuming you’re including Second in that mix? So the original three were the strongest.

In theory, yes; they've been around the longest. Though in terms of pure combat strength, The Legend has the least of all Tier Five.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>

Well it sounds like it, what with First being First and how you told me The Legend does recruiting.

They were the original three.
<Snipped quote by Shadow Dragon>

It sounds almost like it could be a single solution for a couple of your problems, then.

<Snipped quote by Fractured>

*Taps my head*
Smart. And I imagine the rankings are based on an average value of some kind, factoring those in.

Effectively. However, the top ten are considered positions with additional authority, particularly those below five.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>

That’s fair. Especially when not every conflict between the same two people will necessarily go the same way, or when one might specifically counter another.

Mhm. Strengths and weaknesses in various scenarios are things we heavily consider.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>

Oh, so there’s no way to actually verify the ranks?

Not externally. Strength is a difficult thing to gauge.
