-sigh- there isn't really a loop hole Moose to get your summon to always be there until your summoner is strong enough to sustain them. for various reasons besides just keeping everyone fair and balanced especially early on. Summons are beings of magical energies, and they require a constant supply of that magical energy to live. Their own worlds are full of magical energy so they don't have to worry about it, but that is not the same in the human world, any summon who completely passing over to the human world has to have a constant supply of magic in one form or another in order to live. without it they'll fade away into nothingness. this can be done various ways but none of them nice or friendly.

Plain and simple she wont be able to keep her summon in their world for long periods of time until she trains. as stated this is for many, many reasons.

.....that wasn't my question....:/ I was just wondering if she could be brought into the Earthly Realm through the process I described. I didn't say anything about that...why'd you think I was going for a loophole?
I don't know....I suppose if you hit the exact spot where she was she would be forced out. I never thought about it.

I'm glad I could help.
So far, from what I can tell, the summons have used the summoning circle as a bridge, and used the chosen ingredient as a sort of a gateway from the bridge to Earth. Now, I'm assuming that different ingredients can be used in different ways. I was wondering if the ingredient my character uses could, instead of being used as a gateway, be used as more of a...how shall I describe it...a fishing line of sorts. My idea was that her object would go though the summoning circle into the Elemental Realm and pull the summon into the Earthly Realm.

@olcharlieboi
The size of the shadow wouldn't really matter, would it? If a flashlight was shown in a bigger shadow, on the exact space where Roxy was moving, she'd be forced out, right?
Maybe El's ability could involve fluidity of some sort? Like she doesn't have a "solid identity" quite yet, so she has the ability to occasionally "slide" through attacks, so to speak?

Oooooooh, I like that! That's genius! You are a genius! That's definitely going to be El's semblance!
@Framing A Moose A flashlight wouldn't make a shadow disappear. It would just make it lighter.

Have you ever shined a flashlight on a shadow? It definitely disappears.
That sounds actually really cool! How would the sawed-off shotgun work? Would they be able to "turn into one" or would it essentially work just like Yang's weapon? And for Nat, I have no idea. Maybe dust-infused daggers? Or that purse filled with "tools"? It depends on the direction you want to take her character, methinks.

I think it'd be best if it were built in like Yang's, rather than transforming, but I'm still thinking about it. As for your suggestions for Nat...I expect her to be a roguish, stealthy type of characters, so I like the idea of her having twin daggers, but I also like the idea of her having thieving tools...

Still working on Will's and Brooke's. I definitely like some sort of woodcutter ax for Will and a katana for Brooke. I was thinking a sniper rifle (pair of?) katana(s) for Brooke and maybe a crossbow for Will. While I'm still unsure about their weapons, I have their semblances down for the most part at this point.

I'll try to edit sometime tomorrow to add their semblances.

Those sound pretty good. Can't wait to see their semblances though! I still don't have the foggiest idea for the semblances of either of my characters. El is hard because according to her backstory and personality, she hasn't had anything to really define herself. As for Nat, I'm thinking she should use glyphs, like Weiss does, but they'd be more thievish, like summoning a small hand to pickpocket, or perhaps smokescreen glyphs. Things like that.

It's on there. XD
@Crimson Raven @tathgon @pkken @Framing A Moose @Blueflame

all of you have yet to get your summoning posts in, please try to get them in by end of today, to late tomorrow. if there is something slowing progress down then let me know, otherwise you summoning posts will get skipped within 2-3 days as to progress the rp and will have to say your summonings was done 'off screen'.

Will do.
For Eleanor, I think I'm going to make a pair of gauntlets with an either small or medium chainsaw coming out of the top of each. I'm still working on what its gun form should be, but I was sort of leaning towards a sawed-off shotgun.

As for Natalie, I'm still unsure about her weapon.
