The opportune arrival of the Operations Officer was a relief to Teige. While it was difficult to remain calm when alone with the android --or whatever she had just told she was-- it would be more natural and less awkward with the officer nearby. At the very least she wouldn't feel so... Judged. One last visible shudder rocked her body, then she replied to the android, voice more confident this time.

"It's... Fine. Yeah, it's fine." Teige said, one free hand caressing her big leaf and pushing it against her head for a short moment. A knowledgeable individual would have recognized this as a common stress induced Foreas reflex. "Anyway, what do you think I should get, Sir? Maybe... Yeah, I'd love a glass of Leaf Jerk." She smiled in amusement, and nodded at the Officer.

Background
Everyone has a story. No matter how young and no matter how distant, they've always have something to remember, something to hold onto or despise. Lees' story is pleasant. Her pod germinated the first days of Spring, twenty-six years ago. Not even a month later, she was already awakening and wandering the world with the insatiable curiosity of all young Foreas.

Her first year was a lonely one, as she had woken up in a rather secluded part of the forest. She learned of nature, animals and herself. Then she met another Foreas. A sapling just like her, of course, but he already knew much more about the world than she did. So after establishing a friendship, they explored the forest together. Eventually, the sapling took Lees to the Heart of the Forest, a great tree that held the collective memory of the Foreas.

But something happened.

Unlike her friend, once in direct contact to the Tree, she fell into a fit of seizures, followed by a catatonic state which lasted for nineteen years. But she did not spend those nineteen years just gone from the world. While her body rested, immobile and safe in the presence of the Heart of the Forest and taken care of by visiting Foreas, her mind traveled deep into the Heart's vault. She saw and experienced many things in there, but thought unknown means, she eventually returned to the outside world.

Three years later, she's grown accustomed to experiencing her own memories, and is now constantly looking for an opportunity to give something great to the Heart of the Forest. She's not going to rest until she's found such a memory to relay to the rest of the Foreas.

Yeah, my characters will start in Venezuelan soil. They might eventually travel north to follow the rumours of places safe from the pantheons.
