Just ignore Shinobi, guys. It's not like he just free-ran across half of New Tokyo's skyline.

I maaaaay be interested in this. Maybe just a tiny bit! A tiny sliver of interest that might be watered and might grow if I'm allowed to use one old character of mine :p

P.S: I am interested :p

having walked for minutes with the young child, the figure slowly came to a stop in front of a humble apartment building. The building's lights were all off, not a very encouraging sign, but the child was getting tired of walking, and a tired child was not good enough for her. So, calmly, the figure turned towards the child and spoke in a soft, young tone.

"You may call me Mother, my daughter. I'll get us a place where you can rest your beautiful blue eyes, understood?" She told the girl and stroked her cheek with the back of her hand, before grabbing her hand and leading her to the building's front door.

"Okay, Mother. I'm Annie." The girl mentioned, receiving no acknowledgement from Mother whatsoever.

As soon as they had gotten in reach, Mother pressed the janitor's intercom button. "Excuse me, sir, my daughter and I need a place to sleep at for the night. Would you happen to have a spare room that we could borrow?" She asked nicely, making sure that she was facing the security camera as she did so. Her thick shadows, after all, covered her true appearance. After a minute of silence, a deep and rough voice was heard coming from the intercom.

"Come in."

And once the door slid open, they walked in, to meet a man aiming a shotgun right at them. Naturally, Annie hid herself behind Mother, and the cloaked woman merely tilted her head at the man, while she focused her cursed energy into the palms of her hands, just in case. The man, though, quickly stood down and nodded when she saw the cowering girl. "That girl of yours surely looks like she needs to relax for a while. Right this way, dear." He motioned to the girl, smiling.

Soon enough, they had settled down in a small room with a single equally small bed meant for one visitor. They had been given food and offered clothes, of course only Annie had taken the clothes, as it appeared that the kind man also had a young daughter. After tucking Annie in and hugging her good night, Mother headed for the desk in the room and, with a wave of her arm, made a worn out Grimoire appear onto it. She sat down on the desk chair and opened the book, going straight for the section she was interested in.

"Blood Rituals..."

The quiet and cold evening air accompanied the dull night sky much like a design on a child's blanket. The humble, poor families in the city huddled together for comfort and the buildings all looked long and gray, looming over the lonely streets in which a single dark, cloaked figure walked. The figure was as silent as the sky and as black as the deepest reaches of space. Not a single word came out, the only sound present in the streets being that of her soft footsteps. For minutes, it was all the same. The cloaked figure walked down the streets until she reached a big, heavily deteriorated building. The walls were dirty and some windows were busted.

The figure stopped in front of the building and read the small billboard above the entrance, 'Sunshine's Orphanage'

She stretched her left arm and with a flick of her hand an old, worn violin slowly materialized right into position. She held it down with her jaw and flicked her right hand, this time being a bow which materialized. her fingers dancer for a short moment on the fingerboard, and then she started. Moving the bow up and down slowly, she started playing a slow, sad tune. Minutes passed, and finally she heard the sound of the Orphanage's front door unlocking.

As the door opened, the form of a small girl, holding a teddy bear close to her chest, revealed itself. The girl looked up at the cloaked figure and frowned for a moment, before relaxing her expression and letting tears streak down her face and onto her small, dirty pink pajamas.

Seeing the tears, the figure stopped playing and let the violin disappear into thin air. The figure stretched an extremely pale and bony hand towards the girl, who for a moment hesitated, but after hugging her teddy bear closer to her chest, put her hand in the figure's. Calmly, the figure led the girl away, into the cold, dark streets, tightly holding the sad girl's hand.
