Okay. SO. @SadCubone:
How did you obtain logs and in the middle of a grassy field? Just, you know, out of curiosity. Then there's the issue of leaves; it's been stated to be a grassy plain, so those, too, seem to be out of place.
And... Fire in the middle of that kind of location. Are you trying to kill everyone before this thing kicks off? It's tall grass, so even the smallest of flames could probably light the entire place up.
@Zombehs@Tokki
Same area and such; otherwise, interactions between characters becomes a pipe dream of sorts.
Marcus shook his head in a dazed, half-awake state as he sat up on the ground, still struggling to wake up as he looked around. It took a few moments, but when he looked around, alarm bells immediately started going off in his head. By no means was this considered "normal"- no, rather, this was anything but. He had just graduated college and was just about ready to go off to search for a temporary job to keep himself afloat, but...

"What kind of a prank is this!?" he shouted, moving to stand up among the strange field he seemed to have just been sleeping in. His clothes, too, had been replaced with some kind of... Well, even then, he hesitated to call it clothing. His memory, though still somewhat hazy, pointed to the clothes originating from pre-industrial- no, pre-Renaissance era levels of technology. So some jerk had decided it was a good idea to go and drop him in the middle of nowhere and swap out all of his clothes AND leave him with nothing... Why? Just for shits and giggles?

Though incredibly close to just blowing up on the spot, Marcus decided to take a deep breath (or ten) to calm himself down. He'd figure out why he was here, for what reason he was here, and how he'd get back at whatever dropped him here in the first place. Though... the colored grass seemed to take hold of Marcus' attention for the moment. As far as he knew, there was no way to paint each plant as they were with such fine detail; maybe they were genetically engineered as such?
...
No, that couldn't be it. To cultivate such a field and not have people knowing about it, ESPECIALLY in the area where he was, was absurd. That, coupled with the fact that he wasn't exactly the soundest of sleepers, probably meant that something was quite amiss. After all, he was pretty certain that he had never seen any plains that were host to these varieties of plants before... Well, that and the fact that he was pretty sure that he hadn't drunk a single drop of alcohol in his entire life, nor touched a single milligram of any illegal drug before.

Well, such worries could wait for later. It seemed to be early morning, given by the location of the sun in the sky, which meant he would have some time to go before being forced to craft some sort of makeshift shelter. The plains around him seemed to expand outwards as far as he could see; that didn't seem productive in the least.

Would he just have to pick a direction and pray for now...?
Alright, final acceptances have been decided!

@Zombehs, @SadCubone, looking forward to your participation from here on out. Drop your forms in whenever.

To everyone else who didn't make the cut, well... Sorry. 's about all I have to say, really.
As Hanzo perked up at the sight of more and more people coming in, Shinsuke let out a sigh of relief. The arrival of other aspiring trainers, most of whom seemed to be about his age, if not older, put him at ease. They, too, seemed to have come prepared, which meant that his own preparation was probably not unwarranted. It was reassuring, in a sense; at least he could have predicted this much.

When the receptionist called the congregating group of to-be Trainers into the lab itself, Shinsuke stood up straight, with Hanzo shaking a bit as it attempted to retain balance on his owner's shoulder. Tugging the strap holding his pack around him to assure himself of its presence, Shinsuke straightened his lab coat and followed the brown-haired girl that had moved in before him; the others would surely follow suit anyhow, and he himself was curious as to how the lab was laid out.

Needless to say, Shinsuke was pleasantly surprised by how his expectations weren't betrayed... Well, that was kind of a lie. He had expected such work to be a tad more methodical and a bit less chaotic, though he soon rationalized the matter to himself by stating Pokemon as the reason behind the chaos. This seemed to prove true as he glanced through a doorway that showed him a glimpse of Pokemon being cared for by other assistants. At least his hypothesis seemed to be correct at first glance...

Shinsuke's attention, though, rapidly shifted back to the Professors as he walked towards them and the receptionist from earlier introduced the to-be Trainers, one by one, to the two standing in front of them. Their outfits felt a little more mismatched than his, but that simply meant that they worked a bit more out in the field, right?

As his own name was called out, Shinsuke bowed to both of the professors, a sign of respect developed out of some habit or another. Hanzo, too, mimicked the act, though with a bit less grace as it struggled to keep balance on Shinsuke's shoulder. As the introductions went by one after the other and the explanations began, Shinsuke nodded his head in both understanding and approval. His earlier studies would've been much easier had he been a protege to someone rather than a self-taught student for sure.

As the standardized tools were handed out to each member of the group, Shinsuke deftly slipped them into his coat pockets and once again bowed, thanking them for the items. It was only fair, after all; a gesture of thanks was the absolute minimum he could provide to them at this given time. Of course, with no further questions for him to ask, Shinsuke nodded at the professors' directions to have the group led out; he didn't like wasting time, after all.

Well my writing style is more voice based. What I mean by that is, when you read it it's looks as if someone is talking when no one is. Like a narrator or a voice in the head or voices to thoughts. Normally that is weird in stories, books, paragraphs and such but the more I started using it the more people liked it and I haven't dropped it. I feel like it gives whatever you are reading more personality. If you want me to try to change it I can.

Nah, it's fine, no need to worry. It's just that the weird capitalization of unnecessary things here and there is bugging me, is all.

@Zombehs: Looking better. Since more people are applying again, I'll give a buffer of the rest of today before I hand down a verdict.
@Zombehs: The form's looking pretty alright, but you're on the money about the history; need a liiittle bit more substance to it than just that. Country of origin? Family? More on military (which country would accept him at that age?) and training? You know, that sorta stuff.

As for @SadCubone:
I like the improvement so far, but right now the situation remains a tossup. There are a few qualms that I, personally, have with your writing style, but those currently have nothing to do with the form itself and, as such, I will remain unbiased in that regard.
Ah, nah, it's fine. If you want to submit one, go ahead. More options, contrary to most people, actually helps me make decisions faster. :D
Kyouma let out a slight laugh at Torako's mention of exercise, choosing to ignore her complaints about his speed. All things considered, she was the one dragging him along, so she should have been the one to match his pace. But that was... Well, no matter, really. As long as he got the job done, then would taking a regular pace be that much of a crime?

"Yeah... No thank you. I've got enough studying on my plate without having to deal with the problems that come with being athletic." he said shaking his head no as he followed close behind Torako as she led him down the alleyway. "Besides, less sleep is the opposite of what I need these days."

It was true, given how he had been knocked out for who knows how long for this morning alone just over some side research; his school days tended to be a bit worse than that, which only served to make matters a tad worse for him.

With nothing better to do, Kyouma decided to listen to Torako's carefree chatter; though it felt much like it, there was a moment of clarity that he felt as he sifted through it all. That... Well, surprisingly enough, it had betrayed her own beliefs quite easily. So that's why...!
Kyouma's pace slowed down, though, as he heard Torako talk about being 'lucky' to get to those higher levels.

That... That was a tad far from the truth, if anything. Sure, it was lucky to get such a high level ability (and, heck, it saved him a chunk of money on glasses and stuff), but that also came with all the scientists pulling you left and right for tests and experiments. Frankly, the whole ordeal sucked; he even go transferred to Nagatenjouki just because of this power of his and had to actually kick himself into gear to get through his school days. Luck? Far from it.

"...You know, having a high level isn't all it's cracked up to be. Given half the chance, I'd trade my power away and go back to being a normal student..." he muttered quietly as he continued along the alleyway. Well, she'd probably get irritated if he told her about the end results of his research here in the middle of this cramped place, and with that it was almost certain he'd get a punch to the gut, at the very least. He'd tell her in a less... Enclosed area, if possible...
Hey@PKMNB0Y Idk if you re-read my CS cause I did get around to making edits to the original post. The reason I didn't make edits when you were viewing them the second time was because I was sleeping in.

No, I read them over. The issue is that there are more than the intended number of people sending in forms, and it's difficult to decide on who to let through. It's a difficult decision to make, I'm sorry to say.
