Tiral's smile quickly went away as a shower of blood sprayed against the ice, making him unable to really see what was going on in front of him. If the last minute or so of the fight was any indicator, though, then Sir Garrett had done as he had hoped, at the vampire out for his blood was probably a decapitated body right about now. With a sigh of relief, the mage dispelled the barrier, removing what had been obscuring his vision up until now.

The vampire's final words were... Ominous, to say the least. Did that imply that there were more out there? Fighting one vampire was enough of a hassle on its own, but even just the idea of having to deal with more made the mage shiver involuntarily.

"If they all fall victim to rage like you did, then I'm not that worried," Tiral said to the corpse, fully expecting nothing to be said in return, before looking over at Sir Garrett. The fact that he had been kind enough to even acknowledge him made Tiral frown, and given the wounds that the knight had sustained, coupled with the fact that he was going to rest...

"...Sleep well."

With a silent salute to Sir Garrett for his efforts, Tiral walked back over to the Captain and the half-giant that had been hugging her like a stuffed animal.

"...We should get moving, but well... It seems as if you're a bit occupied at the moment, aren't you?"
@Daft Monarch: Isekai 「異世界」 is a Japanese phrase that quite literally means 'another world'. The stories usually entail people being transported (or reincarnated post-mortem) into a fantasy world. This is just a generic, so while it has roots in that subgenre, there is no series it's explicitly based off of.

Cheat... Well, 'cheat' refers to an ability that a character (aka the protagonist) usually gets in these stories. It's usually something they wouldn't have otherwise. Some classic examples include enhanced parameters, pocket dimensions, bottomless mana, etc;.
Of course, since this is an RP, I'm going to be balancing for that. So... In essence, a 'newcomer' just... Well, starts with benefits so they don't kick the bucket five minutes into the story.
@ClocktowerEchos: Nope! The world will develop as the group moves, so everyone will be treading new land in-character. Of course, you already know a few things about the place if you recall from the OP, but other than that, everyone's... Mostly going in blind.
Well, with me finally waking up now, have a form!

I'll edit this into the main post momentarily.
Hey, wow. People! Cool.

I guess this number of people is suitable to have me start writing up a form for you guys to fill out. So... Yeah, look forward to that, I guess.

Hopefully you guys get some ideas during the next few days. :D
"This is a train bound for -----. The next stop is--"

A late-night train ride is anything but glamorous, but at least this one seems to be fairly calm (even with the announcer being unintelligible as he was). There seem to be a few others riding in the same car as you, each probably with their own things to handle and own worries. Well, there's only one for you right now: get back home. Or, well, back to a hotel if you're visiting this place for the moment, but regardless. After all, it's well past midnight, and crime never sleeps.

Of course, the day was tiring, and so as you sit idly by, the LED display overhead begins to flash, a wave of drowsiness comes over you. Grasping tightly onto whatever belongings that you have, the screen above shows something that seems... Seriously out of place.

Next Stop: Relfan Town, Empire of Tewan

Before any thoughts of panic or confusion can kick in, though, you pass out.

However much longer later, you wake up. It's groggy at first, but the light streaming into the car through the windows shows that it's daytime. Given how it was nighttime when you dozed off... Was it possible that you were at the train yard now?

A quick glance around shows that those people with you also seem to be in a similar predicament, but before anything else, a chorus of cellphone text chimes goes off. Everyone seems to grasp instinctively at their phones, and each text reads something like this:

"Sorry~! I'm kiiiinda in need of some help here, so I dragged you and everyone else here to this world. Don't worry, I've handled all that messy stuff about possibly being missing, so could you please help me with some stuff? I know you're, like, not all strong or anything, but I've given everyone here a special ability~! The details are in the next message you'll get.
After you guys get your bearings straight, pop out of the train car and follow the road to get to the nearest town. You'll learn more there. Have a great adventure~!"

...
What?

A second message pops up, just as promised, but before anyone can take a look at that, the doors to the train car open.
And so it begins.

So yeah! A classic isekai RP. I've tried variants that were more 'out there' in the past, but this is the stuff boiled down to the basics. Complete with cheats for the characters dragged in! Granted, these cheats will be nowhere near as broken as they usually are in such light novels, but hey! Cheats!

Of course, prospective RPers also have the ability to play characters from the world itself, so you're not locked into playing what I like to call 'imports'.

This is just an IC, though, so we're probably not starting for a bit. But hey, here's a form!

So... Yeah! Gates are open. Questions, concerns, and criticisms are all fine, too.
Sogiita Gunha

"Alright, now we're talkin'!" Gunha cheered as Charmeine gave them a two-sentence explanation on the places they were going to head off to. Handling magic was doable, if that weird guy that beat him up last time was anywhere as strong as he was told afterwards... But it seemed as if the girl who was already going there had enough guts to power through. What he needed to do here was make sure that more worlds had enough guts to go around overall, and the words ' filled with strong fighters' resonated with him. Strong fighters meant people with guts, and people with guts meant that it'd be easier to sniff out those without any! It was a flawless plan! Flawless!

...Though the name was, admittedly, a bit weird. Who named their town 'what forest', anyways?

"I'm going with my gut on this one! Let's go!" he said enthusiastically before following Saber through to their location.

The high school he ended up in front of was... Admittedly too damn normal for his tastes. Maybe it was because of his life in Academy City, but this place could seriously do with a tech upgrade.

"Alright... So. I think I look fairly normal there, but, well... Regardless of how gutsy that armor and dress look, miss, you stand out like a sore thumb. Do like the transformation, though. 8 out of 10 for smoothness," he said giving his companion a thumbs-up before looking around.
"...You think they're going to start blowing stuff up any time soon? It usually doesn't take long for things to start exploding in situations like these..."

The Anguished One

The moment of disorientation came and passed for the Anguished One, who was far too used to such things at this point in time. With a curious expression, he looked to his side to make sure Alice had come through just as well as he had (she was fine, thankfully) before glancing around. A technologically advanced society, was it? Well, the creativity of humans never ceased to amuse him...

A quick glimpse of the flying humans above immediately caught his eye, and the Anguished One let out a bit of a smile. At the very least, he could fly instead of walk now. Pleasant.

"Ah... Logic dictates that we should be placed within close proximity of our goal... Which, quite honestly, would imply that any possible opposition would already be gathering at the location of importance," he said, noting that Yuuka had followed him and Alice through. Well enough, then. "I recommend we try and remain inconspicuous while scouting out the area; if we know the land, then our job should be made easier in the future. Better than fighting on unfamiliar territory, at least."

With that, the Anguished One and Alice began to walk off towards the excavation site. Unless directly attacked, of course, he wouldn't retaliate. But even so...

"Ticos, begin distribution of Nicaea 2.1. Refrain from installing the demon summoning application until I say so; retain the death videos and Fate system. Humans seem to like little amusements like those."

"Understood." the male Tico responded from the Anguished One's terminal.

And so it began.
Sogiita Gunha

Gunha stood with a slightly amused smile while looking at the screen. It was a tad strange, seeing the juxtaposition between that and the happy fluffy pink room, but there was enough information to at least figure out that the enemy had made their move. Perfect; time to teach those cowards a lesson.

"Alright, Charmeine! Show us the way so we can get moving; the longer we wait, the more of an advantage they'll have!" he said, crossing his arms as he stared at the screen. Hm... Well, either looked fine, honestly. What difference did location make in the end, anyways? It was all about the goal and all that. Just gotta have guts to go in and save them all; nothing more, nothing less!

The Anguished One

"Ehehe... Thanks, miss! Let's do our best~!"
Alice let out a small bit of a laugh as Yuuka petted her head, a fact which confused the Anguished One... If only slightly. After all, that child had been raised be Nebiros and Belial, and was generally only truly receptive of them (and, well, the Shining One). Was this to imply something else...?
...
Well, there was no point in dwelling on that further. Introductions seemed to be in order, and from the looks of things, the ragtag group that child had assembled here would soon be off on the road to try and gather those 'world cores'. Speaking of introductions, though... It might be preferable to withhold his self-proclaimed name or true name for now.

"A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Miss Kazami. My name... 'The Anguished One' shall do," he said, bowing to her before turning to look at the gaps that had just opened up in the room. The child's explanation...

Hm... Well, at the very least, it would be easiest to test those who had magical aptitude. It would lessen the burden he placed on himself during any such tests of will, at least; distributing Nicaea if the need be would also probably be easier.

Besides, he didn't have much of a good opinion of hitmen or anyone of the sort. Granted, police during times of chaos weren't always reliable either... But, well, that's what brought out the potential in humanity, was it not?

"I shall travel to the latter; it coincides with my own skillset quite well," he said, turning to Alice for a moment before looking back at the tears in space-time in front of him. It was honestly an affront to every law of nature known to him, but... Well, the chance to reason with that had long since passed. With a sigh, the Anguished One calmly walked up to the portal and, with a sigh, walked through it. Alice quietly followed suit, disappearing with the Anguished One to... Wherever their destination was.
Sogiita Gunha

"Hmhm. Yes, yes. I understand the situation now! Someone's doing something seriously gutless, and it's our job to stop them!" Gunha said, nodding his head in understanding before punching his fists together theatrically as a wide grin crossed his face. "Simple! So we just show those gutless cowards a taste of our fists, and the rest will solve itself, right?"

By now, the explosions had already settled down, and with nary a trace of them left, it would seem as if they hadn't appeared in the first place. But who cared? There were plenty more where those came from if he really wanted to make more, after all.

"So! Where do we start?"

Yeah... Couldn't really fight something that wasn't... There...
But hey, never stopped him before!

The Anguished One

The array of lasers that bounced from one of the more... Deviant beings in the room was worth nothing more than a glance to the Anguished One, who simply moved his head away from one of the beams targeted at his face. Rude, this woman was. Also... Quite verily insane, possibly as much as the one proposing all of this in the first place. This wasn't particularly a meeting of paragons, now was it? The (rather foolish) self-proclaimed doctor seemed to be having some difficulty with the lasers, though. Perhaps a bit of retribution for his earlier actions?

The Anguished One's simple glance, though, tightened into a glare at the mastermind's proposition. So he had been right from the start; the energy required for such an ordeal necessitated the usage of these so-called 'world cores'. He, of course, had no desire to create a world of his own; as he had asserted to himself before, that mission of his was already completed. What worried him, though, was the possible outcome of doing so. The term 'world core' and a quick energy analysis of the example object implied just that: it was the core of a world. So removing such an object, if he was correct, would lead to the destruction thereof. To watch worlds crumble under his actions... That was something he would not be able to tolerate, regardless of the circumstances. But would that be better than being executed on the spot by all these hopefuls vying for the resulting energy overload? Or even standing idly by as he watched this happen instead?
...
Granted, he had sort of done the latter in the past, but this was different. He had agency now, however minuscule it seemed, and was no longer limited by the constraints of the Administrator System. So, in the end, he was left without a choice, wasn't he? In order to protect that new world, to keep this group from ever reaching it...

"Understood. That alone is all I needed to know in regards to your goal," the Anguished One stated, quietly walking to the far end of the room so as to not come into close contact with any more... 'Warning shots' from those more inclined towards insanity. Doing so led him closer to the green-haired woman who agreed with him from earlier, which he wasn't particularly worried about. At least he could be somewhat civil with her, if only because she hadn't been either mad, brooding, or just plain childish.

"So... It seems it is once again my role to test those humans to see if they may face the trials ahead. I wonder, will there be new Shining Ones there as well? Or will they be too weak to fight the oncoming threat? I may have to release Nicaea again, if worst comes to worst..." he mused, opening up a small terminal device that he pulled out from his pocket. The device booted up in short order, revealing a female wearing a bunny outfit and a man wearing a butler suit to appear on-screen.

"Your Exellency! What may we--" the girl chirped before the Anguished One cut her off.

"Ticos, I shall explain the situation later. For now, keep a record of the events at hand. We no longer have access to the Akashic Record, so everything must be stored on hand. Do you understand?"

"Your wish is our command, sir." the man replied, bowing on screen before seemingly glancing around. "Is there anything else you request of us right now?

"Yes. Summon Alice and prepare Nicaea for public usage once more."

With a nod, both of the figures on-screen left to the sides before a small orb flitted out of the device and right in front of the Anguished One. Yes, doing this near the sides was much less conspicuous than his last position. As it did so, the area to his side silently began to materialize something--or, well, rather, someone. While the rest of the area remained in a bit of chaos, the girl took a more solid form and, in the end, simply stood there by the Anguished One...

Though she didn't stay like that for long. The girl--Alice--looked around in a bit of confusion before walking over to the green-haired woman, a curious smile on her face.

Oh dear.

"Oh, my apologies," the Anguished One said, turning towards both Alice and the source of her interest. "It seems as if this child has a bit more curiosity than usual..."

It'd be best if a fight didn't break out or something. Granted, the Shining One's specifications in her creation made her nigh-impervious to damage, but the less attention brought to him, the better.

It took him a moment to realize though, that he had said everything just loud enough for said woman to hear his earlier comments.
Was he perhaps... Unconsciously seeking allies? Well, that could possibly be the case...
