I don't know how much it helps, but that's tied to some position in Brinkspace. Nemid cares more about breaking our will than about killing us. It's also resisted every attempt to destroy or corrupt it!

You're right, but Isaac and X demonstrated to us that you can force it to expel energy if you hit it hard enough.
