Looking for someone to write as Ed against my Lorraine.

I RP over discord and tend to post anywhere from 3 to 12 paragraphs. It just depends on what the scene calls for. But if long posts aren't your thing, we won't work well together.

I do expect there to be mature content, in both a sexual nature but also in the cases we decide to have Ed and Lorraine take on. It's ideal that our plot is priority and that we develop characters and events at a gradual pace. I'd like to do something pre-the Conjuring or post-The Conjuring 2 (but before the third, recent film). I am open to crossovers and playing other roles on the side but right now, I am looking for someone to play Ed.

There should be a balance of slice of life, action, mystery, and romance.

Added a new plot idea.
Hello all.

I am looking for a Benny to my Beth.

I am also capable of writing as Jolene, Townes, Beltik or maybe Annette, and am open to other side pairs alongside Benny x Beth.

I RP primarily over discord and can give 3-5 posts a week, sometimes a post a day if I have the time but it's better to assume I can get you a post every other day, to be safe. I am not looking for speed posters, in fact I'd be more comfortable with a slow posting speed as we all have lives and responsibilities outside of our hobbies. I will never hassle or nag someone to post but I would prefer an active out of character channel so we can chat and talk about our day, RP ideas and the like. It's my belief that having a close relationship with writer partners ensures both are still motivated and feel respected both within and outside of the RP itself.

Generally, you can expect 1-2k word posts from me which can range from 5-10 paragraphs on average. Sometimes posts will creep into the 3k range but that's usually if we're doing a lot of summary and skipping. That said, my partner is someone who loves to write and isn't daunted by large posts. On discord, it can take me 3-7 actual posts before my post is finished, just due to their limits on characters per post. Again, if this kind of length doesn't interest you, I can try to edit a bit but I'd still prefer someone who is interested and engaged when it comes to lengthy, Advanced posts. NSFW is also expected but I don't see it happening for a while, given Benny and Beth are quite guarded as characters.

Posts will be written in third person, past tense but if you sway me to try first person, I have a stipulation in that when addressing my character Beth, you say her name instead of 'you.' For example: I leaned back and looked at Beth, wondering what she was thinking as we set up our board, doubtful she had a true endgame in mind.

Not only do I enjoy my RPs, I enjoy making graphics and comics for them, as well as playlists. In my servers, I like to have places where we can share visual guides, Beth's outfits, memes, art and the like. You don't need to contribute but it would be nice to know my partner enjoys the effort and has a goofy side. Just because I want long posts, doesn't mean I don't like to goof off.

Now below are some very basic ideas, some AU. I want my partner to have an idea for Benny, his background and such. Beth has been developed quite a bit and I'd love for us to focus on Benny more during our RP. My partner should also have an idea of where his head is at before we kick things off. Beth and Benny didn't end on great terms before Moscow and as such, I imagine there's some tension and unresolved feelings, concerning them sleeping together and not talking about it. It's my understanding Beth has feelings for Benny but can't figure out how to express them due to her lack of relationship experience.

As a heads up, I have read the book as well, didn't care much for it and as such, won't refer to that unless you have and would like to.

None of these ideas are set in stone of course and tweaks can happen once we brainstorm. I am totally open to giving them bending from say ATLA or dealing with a fantasy world or wild things like that. We can go as off-script and even crossover if it makes sense.

Ideas:

Upon winning in Moscow, Beth returns to the USA and visits Benny. She wants to celebrate but also thank him for helping her. She has a few engagements to attend and would like his company, as socializing is more his thing, than hers. She begins to consider moving out of Lexington and up to NYC so she can find work part-time as she focuses on international chess events. We would have Beth live with Benny while she gets on her feet and they look to competing abroad, while restarting their friendship. Both a bit shy and guarded but still fond of the other.

Benny's family ends up visiting the orphanage where Beth lives. His family adopts Beth after finding out she is gifted at chess, as is their elder son, Benny, who already has ample recognition in the chess world. Beth would be 10 and Benny would be 19. They don't see each other much as Benny is traveling, doing well for himself. Meanwhile, Beth is being homeschooled and beginning to compete as well. The Watts family is quite well off and eventually Beth begins to nip at Benny's heels, causing further issues between the two. We would begin when Beth is 18 or 19, with Benny 28 or 29, as it is in the series. This would need more polishing but could provide a different dynamic.

Borgov and his wife cannot have children due to medical issues and adopt Beth from America. Beth begins to train as a ballerina and is soon tasked with going to America to throw off their star chess player, Benny Watts. Beth ends up picking up chess as a hobby and realizes that she is quite good and being used by her family and the Russian government. She gets close to Benny during various international chess tournaments but realizes she has feelings for him and doesn't wish to aid her father any longer in his schemes. She makes a plan to run away with Benny to NYC.

Beth's birth mother never kills herself and Beth ends up living a normal life, with her mother pulling herself together to be the mother Beth needs. She is close with her mother and has made many friends during her high school tenure. In due time, Beth takes up journalism and eventually is tasked with following Benny Watts around. Beth has graduated high school and seeing the summer job as something to do while she waits to begin college. She works as a writer for Chess Revive, Townes beginning to mentor the 18 year-old. She and Benny travel the country and some international venues as she writes about chess and Benny begins to teach her, Beth becoming quite good in a short amount of time. They grow close and Benny convinces Beth to not attend college, so she can dig into the chess world, much to her mother's dismay.

The night after Beth and Benny sleep together, they head to the airport, still not having discussed the context of the night before. Still, Beth takes a chance and asks Benny to go with her to Paris and he does. There, he is able to prevent Cleo from ruining Beth's chance at beating Borgov. Beth ends up claiming victory and she and Benny address their relationship and begin to formally date. Meanwhile, Cleo is determined to get between them, as she has been tasked to do by the KGB. Borgov continues to compete, sights set on Beth and Benny. Here, we could have Townes or Beltik swayed to help the KGB too.

Following Paris, Beth is too ashamed to go back to NYC at Benny's many requests. She returns to Lexington but Benny decides to drive down and surprise her, having talked to Townes about where Beth lives. Benny goes down and helps Beth pick up the pieces of her life again. They take it easy as Benny helps Beth get sober again. Beth considers she isn't fit for chess and decides to become a commentator for chess games while Benny works to train to beat Borgov, while trying to get Beth to return to chess and start fighting again. This will likely deal a lot more with Beth's depression, addictions and will be more dark in nature but it shouldn't be too tense all the time though.

A fantasy/crossover twist where Benny and Beth stumble upon a rift that transports them to the wild west where they happen upon a town called La Belle where they help the city and try to find a way back to the present of 1969. They encounter a deputy who agrees to show them the ropes of living and surviving.

All a bit general but we will add more as we get going. I also suspect we'll need to dive into if Benny will continue to play chess in some of these prompts or if he might step away and do something else. Same with Beth, the idea of having a balanced life is a concept that Townes, Alma, Harry and others have tried to teach Beth throughout the series. I am totally open to other ideas. I would love it to be a slow burn either way, them traveling around, slowly getting to know one another all over again. But I also am open to other ideas and AU suggestions/interventions. Thanks for reading!
