@R31GN@Mr Allen J

The new rule for James' power goes:

If someone knows, or as a reasonable suspicion that he is present, and intentionally looks directly at him, they will break the filter and see him.

This also makes it a little harder for him to "get away," because before all he had to do was round a corner and he would be invisible again, but now someone has the tools to hunt him down. It's still not easy, because if you follow him around the corner, you still have to know where he's standing to break the filter. You can't just glance at him and happen to have your eyes fall directly on him.
@Mr Allen J No, he hasn't "broken" any of the rules to allow her to.

She can, however, infer that someone is that there other people can see.

His power gets weird, because he has an effect on the environment, but there's a certain level of removal from his direct effect before you are able to process it.

For instance, if he opened a door and came in, no one would notice that the door had opened. They could, however, notice a sudden draft/change in temperature/light quality.

Also interesting, because he is not technically invisible, he technically casts a shadow. If you can't "see" him, you can't "see" the shadow either, but there are situations where you would notice that light isn't behaving properly. A basic example is if you're lying on the beach and he stands over you. You'll notice that you can't see the sun anymore, but you can't figure out why.

It's a super weird power, and it messes with people's very consciousness.

EDIT: Actually, I think that if your character can reasonably infer that someone is there, and they can figure out exactly where "there" is, they can look directly at him and break the filter.

That will be a new rule for his power, but I will be watching carefully to rule on what is a reasonable inference.
Well, I think Zoey's being brought in, but Kassidy has Rhys to interact with.

She also has just been inexplicably healed, so that might be worth noting in your next post.
I definitely recommend you read it all at some point. But here we go:

So, Maren steps on glass at the beach, and walks up the stairs to the top of the cliff, and into the Cliffside Cafe where Kassidy and Zoey work. She gets first aid. Meanwhile, the lights reappear in the sky, and everyone's powers emerge. Audrey was on the beach(having passed Maren on her way down) when this happened, and witnessed an old school friend, Solomon, burst into a white streak and fly across the sky. She has so far seen the craziest shit this night.

She tries to follow Solomon, but loses sight of him as he flies over the cliff. When she gets to the top of the stairs, she goes into the cafe to ask if anyone saw them(and is distracted by Michael and Thomas, twins in the motorcycle club she used to be associated with, who were looking for her). A bunch happens in the cafe as everyone's powers emerge. Zoey accidentally shorts out the cash register, Kassidy keeps accidentally breaking things, and Audrey(whose strangeness is the hardest to explain) has accidentally healed Maren's foot and Kassidy's hand. Maren, freaked out, left the cafe and ran into Miles(whose player, Polyphemus, has stepped out of the game). Nothing has happened since then, so it's not a bad place to put a character.

Mary walked in and asked if anyone had seen what's happening, Audrey was like "Yes, finally, someone talk to me about this" but the whole situation is distracted by the appearance of James and Rhys. Rhys corrodes the doorknob, and James is completely unseen until he touches Audrey and Kassidy(and still they are the only ones who can see him).

Meanwhile, down at the beach, Bae and her friend Ceder are(high?) theorizing about the cause of the lights, which has annoyed Jasmine(whose power is hyper sensitive hearing). Jasmine is freaking out because everything is way too loud.

I feel like I've covered everyone.
Also, I've been thinking that we come up with our own term for the superhumans of this city.

I'm thinking the "Cursed."

Oh, I think I never actually mentioned it in this thread, but when I did this RP before it was "Miracles." It came from when the children were dying, and the few that survived were called the "Greenbriar Miracles," and they were just called the same thing when they became super powered.
So, little sneak peak:

Very shortly, there will be military/government intervention in the town, as well as super powered villains.

And don't expect to stop running into super powers after leaving the town.
@AbandonedIntel Yeah, approved.

@R31GN The other players actually voted on her power.

She heals people at touch, involuntarily. And when she does so, she takes on a diminished version of their injury.

And you know, I should have edited it into her CS on the character tab, my bad, I'll take care of that.
I vote B.
@AbandonedIntel

Ha, no, actually. I was intentionally choosing powers that would counter their personality or interests in some way.

So, for her, I was latching on to her dislike for conflict, as well as her love of animals(and her dog specifically). For her to use her power, there's a good possibility that she'll put her dog at risk(But don't worry, Audrey can heal dogs too). There's also a slight increase in her own aggressive tendencies, which she'll likely notice and dislike about herself.
@AbandonedIntel Alright, I got it, I think. I may change it suddenly, but here goes:

Animal Bond: She has created an intrinsic link between herself and her dog, Kirk. Through it, both have taken on some of each other's traits. Gabby has a greater hearing and sense of smell(not on the same level as Jasmine, mind), but also gains some of his nature. She becomes protective to the point of aggression.

Kirk, meanwhile, has become a great deal smarter through his link with Gabby. He is far beyond any dog, and most animals, and even has some level of self awareness and capacity for reason. He sees her as his pack leader, and will obey her unflinchingly, and with his new level of intelligence is able to take on much more complicated commands. He doesn't need to be trained to turn the light off, because when she tells him to, he knows what it is that she's trying to communicate.

Though he may gain some capacity for English, he does not automatically understand it(though he understands her through their link) and will have to learn from others trying to talk to him.
