The decision was simple.

Pull up or down. Which one? This would be a rumination most wizards or gnomes would fathom for many hours.

However, this machination faltered for the length of a conversation and a flogging of a makeshift, serous vine, which whipped upon his back. The annoyance provided the motivation to select the lever in the middle. With an ascendant stroke, gears of war began to churn within the fleshy construct. Mild howls of concern emitted around the pillar as he turned to see the floor slowly rise, slowly attempting to barricade the robot into a coffin within the center column, soon deafening him from the cries of apprehension and disease arising with the ground itself.

Momentarily, the assassin would be buried within stone separated from the gowned comrades who shared the same hemmed mark.

What would he do? What would the rest do? Was Thanath hungry?

These were not trepidations calculated by the machine, who instrumented the very house to move.
Curiosity prompted the humanistic contraption to make a choice.

You see as you step outside of this room, a 5 foot portal about 100 feet out and 3 stories below. To your left, as you pass over the deteriorated barrier.

Light seems to be streaming in through this mystically opened door. Everything else appears very dark. Strangely, there is no city that can be vantaged.

Only the Warlock heard the words: "hated city, Waterdeep."

@The Grey Dust

As you march inward with your new found belongings and limbs, you note 3 levers on either of the other 3 walls inside the pillar with your former bed as a ceiling. Two are down. The one to your right is up.

Everyone who is not watching this from the right angle sees you disappear. Which would include Uregaunt, Mara, Zana, Cerise, and Thanath.

Our paladin is the only witness to this sleight of passage.

@Cu Chulainn

You see the Warlock cut through tubing, sheared effortlessly, but the IV remains in his arm, spitting pulsatile amounts of gore with every beat of his fragile heart.

After AdAM passes through the illusory wall. You still hear his foot steps as he shuffles slightly inside.

Strength Check – Critical Fail

As you plunge your muscular hand into the newly devoid cavity peering into the external abyss, the other arm cinches into, forbidding any further inspection of the emptiness beyond. With great difficulty you inch each digit into the crevice, until you are wrist deep, as you attempt to retract slight, you feel a vise awkwardly locking your arms in place.
However, this doesn’t last long.

Mara’s Kung-fu – Critical Success – 9 damage with bonus action of 6

The wall collapses outward liberating the goliath from his self-inflicted lariat. Beyond, you see barely yonder a flat shingled roof, in congruity with the floor plan of your previous cubed prison. As dark vision endeavors to pierce the surrounding ebony, faint luminosities swirl, with minimal force, almost to infinity. There is no apparent landscape, horizon, stars, or moon.

For Pillar:

The sagacity computes that your discarded shroud and tubing is not being hindered by one of the walls, which becomes instantly feeble and muffled, in regards to further scrutiny.

Notes and Bench work:

You walk to the bench in front of you; the warlock still armed cautiously shuffles a certain distance, ye t en guard. The pew before the counter is hewn, bereft of any living material. The surface of the makeshift kiosk suffers many liquids, all twinkling, mostly red, green, and blue. The frail parchment appears to be scribed in beautiful script and then crumbles instantly into a harsher linguistics, favoring Sylvan into Infernal, but oscillating back and forth between the two languages.

The bench investigated above the preoccupied gnome, though, has something special. A Book.

It holds a title marked in no known language, chained shut with what resembles newt bones and a lock begotten from adamantine.

Probing the corner nearest to your previous flinty divan reveals that the counters are not actually affixed to the walls at all, but bolted to the ground with a centimeter gap between worktop and the borders of the room. More so, this gap is also contiguous with the floor, shedding a faint light upwards.

Medicine – 18

You discover how to shed each syrinx abutting your arm's vasculature with ease. The wounds on both arms slowly heal, faster on the appendage bearing your scarlet stone. Furthermore, as the tube falls to the floor, you discern there are no tubes coming from one of the “unawakened” slabs bearing a likely feminine silhouette.

Your corpulent phalanges detach the experimental plumbing with some mild hesitation, but afterwards the rest tumble with ease.

As you detach yourself and dismount from your cement cradle, you sense the slab immediately before your stare, is still pooling blood, with still a prominent grinding sound from the roller above, exsanguinating the persona still beneath its grey veil.
Since Zana is facing the wall and Thanath is occupied with Uregaunt, Sir Halflight is the only character to see the illusory wall facing him within the pillar wall slab upholding AdAM.

Passive Perception - 18.

Darkness.

The blackness crawls on your.

Flesh?

The left portion of your appendicular skeleton is engrossed in a spongy biological composition, organized and coordinated as you supinate and pronate the forearm first before flexing your leg, for further inspection, under the circumferential cold, smoky veil. Auditory processing detects exactly four roller pumps, equally spaced below your head of bed and feet. Your slab is in a slight Trendelenburg position by approximately 28 degrees. As you place your right elbow onto the preeminent necrotic pedestal, you sense that it is hollow beneath.

Forsaking your pall, the fabric façade flutters below as your cybernetically enhanced retinae, instantly consume the room.

Half-elf with a vise grip on a paranormal long sword. A towering Goliath embellishing a teethy arc from ear to ear. A gnome beneath a work bench with the blankets stirring on two other blanche slabs. Lastly, a trembling but flapping Pixie, withdrawn far into a corner, cemented in a defensive stance.
@Lauder

Passive Perception: 9

Under the arcane desk affixed to the confined room, you feel intermittent zephyrs as your palm traces the patterns on the wall. A faint shadow impresses upon the underbelly of the bench, cast by your sleeveless arm. Stray rays of light are jetting from a fine gap within the floor’s angle.
Amazing, @JBRam2002!
