@Leoven This has nothing to do with the RP, but it's been bothering me for a really long time: what game is that avatar from?
An impasse. The beast hardly appeared content with the situation, but why would it have been? Though she knew not the words exchanged, the looks being cast around the group gave her a sufficient understanding of the situation. However Serah had chosen to translate her words, the monster found the request of assurance lacking. And by the looks of things, their short little companion had lost faith in the beast in turn.

Very well. Since it seemed bloodshed was not to be avoided, Alexandria took the short pause in action to tuck away the rations once more. And as she was already crouched low, her stance was not unsettled by the sudden gale that had accompanied the macabre change in soundtrack, even if her insides reeled at its noise.

It took a good few seconds to ensure that nothing was coming up her throat, during which she caught the strange creature diving into the foliage. Similarly, their druid friend had also been convinced of the fey orchestra's threat, and took after it, urging the rest of them to follow after.

As being alone in the Wilderdeep was hardly the noble's idea of a good time, she decided to follow suit. Propping herself up to her feet with her staff, the cleric looked to the rest of her squad and said dryly: "Better the devil you know than the devil you don't."

Still, considering the results of the last time something like this had occurred, Alexandria was still a bit skeptical of the looming threat. At the very least, keeping a good degree of awareness of the situation did not strike her as a bad idea compared to blindly following a wild beast.

@NarayanK That reminds me, since I'm moving plot along next post, do you want me to do anything for Bang or
Eh it's fine. Give Alexandria an hour and she can prep Speak with Dead
At the onset of this event, Alexandria, already in the back row of the group, took another step backward. From above, a strange creature had tried - and failed - to ambush the man from another land. Credit where credit was due, it was the work of the roguish one that had ensured that none of them had become more intimate with the thousand-eyed beast's foul fangs than they would have preferred. Still, that left the beast in their midst, and the viscountess had little desire to draw its attention more than necessary.

And true to form, she was nothing more than an observer. Watching. Waiting. Bearing witness to all, but affecting none. That is, until a suitable opportunity presented itself. But so far, such a thing had not occurred. It had almost, but the great temptation of putting an end to this strange creature was cut short by the intervention of the wildling shaman. (And, she supposed, the... "soothing" tunes of the gong)

Interestingly, Serah had appeared to have cut a deal with the beast in the strange tongue of the wilderness. How surprisingly Aabranian of her.

"...Very well," Alexandria finally spoke up. "If it's simply food he wants, I suppose I can oblige." She set down her staff and began rummaging through her satchel. "That said, what of the possibility that this strange being knows nothing of use? Perhaps you should also ensure that it is a trustworthy source, witch of the wilds." One hand wrapped around a ration, while the other gripped the side of the satchel. Her discerning gaze locked on the multieyed beast. "Or, at the very least, one that won't simply attack even should we relent."
Same but not really since I'm getting ready for my after-work shower.

But after that. That is when I will Do The Thing.
Takumi Minamoto - Stop
Third Ward, Sakura Clinic, Fourth Floor

A sharp exhalation matched the pitched screech of Takumi’s spear clashing with Miyako’s kakuja breastplate. The brief clash between himself and the target quickly revealed that he couldn’t simply rely on compatibility to compensate for the vast difference in ‘ghoulishness’ with his opponent. Perhaps if he were better fed and less wounded, but those weren’t issues that he had the liberty of addressing at the moment.

’A few centimeters more accurate and perhaps I could have dealt more than a glancing blow,’ he noted, very intentionally using his remaining forward momentum to slip past the kakuja ghoul. Although this left his back quite exposed, it soon became clear why he had done so: if he had remained, he would have been caught in the savage struggle between Hana, her teeth, and the kakuja’s organs.

In other words, the improvised flanking maneuver had been executed successfully, albeit not quite in the way he had expected.

With an unnecessarily dramatic spear-twirl, Takumi shaved off excess momentum, ensured his spear didn’t end up buried in Hana’s nice wallpaper, and turned back around quickly and elegantly. Without wasting time, he connected his false quinque to his kagune, altering it as he assessed the situation.

The opponent was armored, fast, and had the capacity to release kagune traps - perhaps having something to do with those strange secretions of hers? - but also wounded, and more importantly, immobilized. Therefore, speed was now a non-factor. Taking the potential of friendly fire into account, that meant what was required here was a precise strike that could disregard armor.

And so, the head of the spear became the head of a warhammer.

Concussive force was something that even the hardest of armor wouldn’t be able to defend against. The weight characteristic of koukaku kagune would ensure maximum kinetic energy distribution. The shape of her mask would ensure a large target area, or a focal point to focus that energy in the “nose”. Immobilization would force her to choose between trying to throw Hana off and catching his attack with her wings, which would sustain the damage instead. And he could always attack again.

As the two girls struggled for dominance, they might have noticed Takumi’s shadow slowly encompassing them. “Please try holding her down for a little bit longer, nee-san,” Takumi requested politely, raising the koukaku hammer skyward and lining up the shot on her head. “Kakuja-chan needs to take a brief rest.”

Then he dropped the hammer.

Ad nauseum.
Takumi would be heartbroken to know he's only being kept around for his body
@AtomicNutNot seeing why Hana would banish him for that. She's obviously crazy and a danger to everyone around her, motto mention she tried to kill the kids. There are zero reasons to not kill her besides being a goodie-two shoes like Takumi.

Takumi could punch you in the face. Or put on the puppy dog eyes.

You wouldn't want to see Takumi when he's ;w;

@AtomicNutEh, fair enough. Itsuki probably wouldn't stay anyway though, given the fact that the Doves are so plentiful here and he doesn't have any place to stay.

Ayy, Takumi also has nowhere to stay. They could share an apartment and have a sitcom called One and a Half Ghouls.
<Snipped quote by Raijinslayer>

Death is so final, though. No coming back from that... Besides, Hana and maybe Takumi might not want to outright kill Mi. She's so sweet once you get past the Kakuja part.

Tacomeat is too puss puss to actually go through with killing anybody he's interacted with for longer than a minute.

He likes to pretend he's hardcore doe
