If you are a fan of Warhammer 40,000 or Age of Sigmar, let me know. Maybe we can put together an RP. I play Ironjawz & Kruleboyz in AOS and Salamanders & Drukhari in 40K.

Bio
I am a veteran of the United States Army and the US Army National Guard. I spent three years on Active Duty serving in the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) at Ft. Carson, CO, and the 3rd Armor Division at Kirch Göns, West Germany. I spent 18 years in the Army National Guard with the 26th Infantry Division "Yankee" and 29th Infantry Division (Light), "The Blue and the Gray". I was deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina with the 29th ID (L) in 2001 - 2002. I have also been reading military history articles and books since I was 10 years old. I do prefer Military Role Plays over all other genres, primarily because I have a vast knowledge of the subject including personal experiences. At the very least, my characters are always veterans.
I have been writing for pleasure for at least 35+ years but only got into forum-based Role Playing about eighteen years ago. I do enjoy Nation Role Plays and get into minute detail when designing my military. The only reason I enjoy excruciating detail in my militaries is because for me, it is fun. My education and experience on this subject afford me the insight to see the depth of the structure. It is not just a General and a large pile of soldiers. If someone wants assistance in designing an army, navy, or air force, please send me a PM. I will help. Please specify what level (echelon) or depth you would like me to go. When I say echelon, I mean Army, Corps, Division, Brigade/Regiment, Battalion/Squadron, Company/Troop/Battery, Platoon, and Squad/Section.
When I was a student in High School, I used to play Dungeons & Dragons. Recently, I have been DMing a 5e campaign of my creation for my son and his friends. 5e is so much less cumbersome than earlier editions of D&D. I do have an interest in Tolkien-esque fantasy-styled Role Plays as well. Time travel has always been a fun genre for me, but to do it well, one must have a firm grasp of historical facts.
There are only a few fanfictions I will participate in; Star Wars and Star Trek are two of them. I want to do an exclusively Klingon RP one of these days. I also avoid Canon characters.
I have real-world martial arts experience. I would love to write an RP about hand-to-hand combat, no fantasy magic chit, just hands elbows, knees, and feet. Maybe the occasional head butt thrown in to mix things up. I trained in Krav Maga for six and a half years. I earned a first-degree black belt in Krav Maga on 3 June 2017.
Krav Maga is an Israeli martial art form that employs practical self-defense techniques drawing forms & techniques from Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Taekwando. It is very brutal, demanding, and aggressive. During the seven years I trained, I have bruised two ribs, sustained several muscle pulls, and various lacerations and bruises over my body. I have received a sprained ankle and a fractured wrist. Before the first black belt test, I received a bone bruise to my right shin; where my roundhouse kicks impact. Yet, I am stupid enough to continue training. [Regardless of the physical pain, it is more fun than any other physical activity I have engaged in. Fortunately, the bone bruise healed up prior to the third and final test. EDIT: I did leave the sport over five years ago. :(]
Over two years ago I completed my first novel, a science fiction set in the 24th century. It focuses on a Private Military Corporation solely employed by the earth government. I started a second book in November 2022 and hope to work on that this summer when I have more time.
Send me a PM for a Role Play or if you would like to see what sort of an army I could build for you.

What Brings You To Role Player Guild: There is a large community of writers here. I enjoy the hobby even though I rarely get time to participate. Currently, I try to limit my stories to one at a time. Unfortunately, I rarely find one I enjoy and others are willing to write in. When I do, they die way too early. Life Before You Came To Role Player Guild: It was very different. I don’t know how to explain it in just a few words or sentences. Life Since You Came To Role Player Guild: This is just a side hobby. I have many irons in the fire and this is just one of them. It has taken a back seat to my real life activities.

I am interested. I have real world military experience, but haven't played Metal Gear since its inception about 20 years ago. OK, closer to 30 years ago. Yea, I'm an old fart.
I have a case of food poisoning at the moment. (Basically I am dying) *Cries*
Anyway I will most likely be MIA for the rest of the day. I will never eat domino's pizza again!
I've been assured that food poisoning is a 24 hour thing, so I'll be around tomorrow, with another post for Alice, and some fun stuff to make the IC pop. I encourage all of you to have your lovely characters meet and mingle! The Fitzroy party is going to be amazing FYI! :D
Emma, I am very sorry to hear about the food poisoning. I do hope you get well soon.
@Sylverblu@arca9 Please read these observations. Let me know if there is anything we can collaborate on. I just posted my character, Stig Jörgensen in the Character tab. Alason Iver Campbell (Sylverblu) - As Attorneys, Stig has regular contact wtih Alason Campbell. They have worked both together and against each other in court.
Julian Marino (arca9) - The family has frequent contact with Julian at the grocery store. Malin and her elder children believe Julian is overly arrogant. Stig however sees another side to Julian. He views his behavior as confident. He appreciates the younger man's outgoing expressive behavior. He views it as being similar to his own. Stig has the ability to change into any creature or human, he is not limited to one type of creature, he still empathizes with Julian's shifting ability. He has changed into a wolf for Julian on occasion. They have developed into a mentor/mentee sort of relationship.
Espen Stig Jörgensen; Danish born, Harvard educated, Demi-God Lawyer and his Doctor of History, wife.
I've written a brief snippet about perceptions or the possibility of a relationship with each of your characters that have been posted. Most of your characters are students and may or may not have had contact with Stig Jörgensen. A few of your characters I would strongly believe know one another. As an example, Alason Campbell is also an attorney and may have worked on cases with Stig in the past. They may have a working relationship. Julian Marino "The Big Guy" works in the grocery store that Dr. Malin Jörgensen shops in regularly. She is also a professor at Gringore Academy. Julian and Malin know one another. Stig would be interested in knowing Julian.
Appearance:

Stig is a handsome man as any child of a God should be. He appears confident and brings a command presence when he walks into a room. When not working, he can be seen in more relaxed attire; maybe a golf shirt, T-shirt, slacks, shorts, loafers or tennis shoes and his black leather jacket when it is cool.

History/bio:
Espen Stig Jörgensen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark to a remarkable young woman named Emma Jörgensen. Emma was a woman of exceptional beauty and poise. She worked as a Paralegal for a law firm in the city, but remained unmarried. The condition of her pregnancy is unknown by most people, Emma rarely confiding in strangers, friends or even family about her suitor. Albeit, people did see the tall dark man who at one very special period in her lifetime called on her as a lover. No one knew who he was; preserving his anonymity for eternity. The dark, handsome stranger had no direct ties to the community. The stranger took care of his one-time mistress and their son with a fortune in gold and a Copenhagen bank account filled with Danish Kroner.
The boy learned at a young age, he was different. He was somehow significantly stronger than his classmates in school excelling in all subject matters. He was the fastest on the football pitch and smartest in math class. When Stig was ten years old, his mother disclosed to him the identify of his father. Although the boy was initially shocked to discover the Norse God, Loki was his father, his young mind quickly transitioned to acceptance with glee. Espen Jörgensen was sworn to secrecy, never to tell anyone who is father was. The fabricated account stated his father had been a traveling salesman who met his mother, fell in love, and died in a tragic motor vehicle accident before the boy was born.
His mother, at one time frequented church as a practicing Christian. She was a member of a parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Denmark. After meeting Loki, her world was viscerally torn asunder. She felt leaving the Christian church was the only logical step. At first it was extremely unsettling, getting caught up in her emotions.
Due to his physical abilities, Emma insured the boy had all the opportunities available to him enrolling him in a Martial Arts school in the city. He trained in Kempo Karate throughout his childhood achieving a third degree black belt by the time he was 18. He possesses skill through training in traditional martial arts weapons including the Bo staff, Nunchaku and the Katana.
At Eighteen years of age, Stig attended the University of Copenhagen where he received a Baccalaureate degree in Politics. It was while attending UC, he met his soon to be wife. They did marry on June 21st, 1998, one month after receiving their bachelor's degrees, living in Stig's family estate in Søvang, Denmark. Stig's mother remained on the property and helped the couple in any way she could. She enjoyed having her son and daughter-in-law living in the same house.
While Stig studied law at the University of Copenhagen, Malin studied Scandinavian History with a focus on Norse Mythology at Aalborg University in Northern Denmark. Even though the couple was separated by almost 200 miles of road, their love seemed to strengthen. In fact, in her first year at Aalborg, Malin gave birth to their first child, Reece in March of 1999. The child remained with Emma Jörgensen in Søvang while the couple continued their education.
At the completion of Stig's third year, he received a Juris Doctorate of Law from the University of Copenhagen and was accepted to the American Law School at Harvard in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Emma and Malin were very excited for Espen encouraging the young family to move to the United States and acquire visas for education. Also, in Stig's third year of Law School, their second child, Abigail was born on January 1st, 2001. Emma agreed to join the family in the United States in order to take care of their children while the couple focused on their education.
The family bought an older Victorian mansion in Allston, a Boston Suburb, while Stig attended Harvard Law School. After receiving her Master's Degree from Aalborg University, she applied to Boston College's Ph.d. History program. The couple maintained a disciplined lifestyle of studying and taking care of their growing family.
After receiving his second J.D.L. from Harvard University, Stig and Malin greeted their third child, Daya on July 28th, 2004. Malin also graduated from Boston College with a PhD in History, always focusing on Scandinavian Studies and maintaining her interest in Norse Mythology.
In 2004, Stig, Malin and Emma Jörgensen completed Citizenship instructions and became recognized Citizens of the United States of America. The US was officially their home. Later that year, Emma sold her home on the shores of Øresund Strait separating Denmark from Sweden.
On Stig's 29th birthday in 2005, the family welcomed Viktor Jörgensen into the family, their fourth and final child.
That winter, the family vacationed in upstate Vermont taking advantage of the various ski resorts, Okemo Mountain, Killington Peak, Sugarbush, Mad River Glen, Stowe Mountain and Jay Peak. The adventure reminded the Nordic couple so much of their life in Northern Europe and finally realized they were home. They fell in love with the mountains and the climate of Northern Vermont. It was by pure coincidence, Stig and Malin bumped into Grace Quinn of Whitecross, Vermont.
Grace was also skiing at Stowe mountain while the Jörgensens were there. Malin knew there was something special about Grace; a quality she perceived only in a few people before this encounter. She knew there were other special people in the world like her and her husband, but rarely encountered them. She befriended a man in Aalborg who was a true vampire, having lived for over one thousand six hundred years. She interviewed the Danish Vampire frequently about many of his experiences. He was a treasure trove of history, entertaining Malin's passion.
On the other hand, Grace did not immediately know who Stig and Malin were and how they also were special. Malin and Stig spoke privately about their new friend, with Malin divulging to Stig her belief that she shared his shape shifting ability. As an offspring of Loki, the God of mischief, they agreed to share their secret with Grace in a playful manner. Malin agreed to meet Grace Quinn at the Stowe ski lodge one afternoon for lunch. While Grace waited in the restaurant, she observed two women approach. One, she recognized as her new friend, Malin Jörgensen. The other person made her gasp. The second woman was none other than Grace Quinn. It was like looking in a mirror. The real Grace did not know what to make of it. She focused herself to not let her get carried away. She attempted to remain as stolid as she could. Malin on the other hand displayed an ear to ear grin, bursting at the seams.
"What the blazes is going on here!?" Grace blurted out. Malin and Stig, the other Grace Quinn could not contain their laughter any longer. Once they regained their composure, Malin began to explain to Grace Quinn that the second Grace, was in reality her husband, Stig Jörgensen. They explained they were children of the Gods, Loki and Víðarr. It took several minutes for Grace to calm down, but acceptance came rapidly. She abruptly stood up exclaiming in a harsh tone, "I'll be right back!" as she slammed her napkin on the table.
Several minutes later as the Malin and the fake Grace Quinn sat at the table drinking wine, Espen Stig Jörgensen approached the table and took the seat where the original Grace Quinn had been seated. The three looked at each other and all three burst into laughter. From that day forward, the three had been the best of friends.
Grace had to tell the Jörgensens all about Whitecross, Vermont, Gringore's Academy and the community of special people who lived there. Life only seemed to be getting better for the Jörgensen family. There was no place else to go. Stig's mother, Emma decided to remain in Allston, while the family packed up their belongings and moved to Whitecross. They found a quaint colonial near the center of town, as Malin was immediately hired to be the Professor of Norse Mythology at the Academy. Remaining at home with his children, Stig opened up a law practice in town. He scheduled his time so he could continue to care for the children and establish himself as a practicing attorney.
Stig's gregarious personality quickly found him many friends in town including Mayor Thompson, Sherriff Sanders and Deputy Quinn. Stig became heavily invested in Whitecross politics and eventually was elected to public office as a city councilor. With his new duties in city hall, he took up a position on the town's Planning and Zoning Commission.
Espen Stig Jörgensen has developed a reputation as quite the proficient lawyer among the mountains of Vermont. Their Scandinavian roots seem to be strongly planted in the Northern New England Mountains.
Malin Edith (Sorenson) Jörgensen Early History
Malin Sorenson grew up in Stockholm, Sweden; her parents, heavily invested in archaeology and Nordic History. Dr. Alfred Sorenson, her step father was the premier historian on Scandinavian history at Stockholm University. Dr. Vera Sorenson, her mother was the premier archaeology Professor at Stockholm University. Malin grew up hearing stories about the histories of Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and the Nordic races who inhabited the fjords before the middle ages. She loved the stories her father told her continuing her education later in life.
Malin, like her soon to be husband was a child of a God. Malin's real father was Víðarr, the Norse God of vengeance. Malin excelled at Scandinavian history like her mother and adopted father. She also possessed the increased strength and extraordinary God-like abilities. She is naturally attracted to legal matters or the law. It is one of the reasons she was attracted to Stig. Malin inherited another ability from her father. Like the scales of justice, Malin must have balance in her life. She can tell when someone is lying and earnestly strives for balance in her own life. Truth, Justice and Equality are very important qualities to Malin Jörgensen. She is a walking lie detector.
Like her future suitor and husband, Malin studied Kempo Karate as a child growing up near Stockholm, Sweden. After they met and fell in love, they exercised frequently and would occasionally spar together for fun.
Not long after moving into their new home in Vermont, Stig and Malin began taking Krav Maga classes at the local dojo in order to carry on their martial arts experience they had as children. In the past two years, they have added 2nd Degree black belt in Krav to their Martial arts resume.
Other/Extra: The Jörgensen family members possess the conventional attributes of Asgardians, as well as certain innate magical powers. Like all Asgardians, the family members are superhumanly strong, immune to all diseases, and resistant to conventional injury. Asgardian flesh and bone is about three times denser than similar human tissue, contributing to the Asgardian's superhuman strength and weight. Their metabolism gives them superhuman endurance in all physical activities.
Besides these physical abilities, Stig, his daughter Abigail and son, Viktor possess a host of magical skills. Among these are an ability to transform their shape at will into those of other creatures or humans. They can become any animal gaining the basic natural abilities inherent in each form. While they can take on the likeness of another god, giant, or human, they will not necessarily gain the special physical or mental powers of the being they imitate. They can also transform external objects into other forms and substances by magic; for instance, they can turn clouds into dragons. They can also bring inanimate objects to life, or mystically imbue objects or beings with specific but temporary powers. These magical effects remain only for as long as they maintain the spell that created them.
Stig can project highly powerful concussive bolts of mystical energy. He can also create magical energy fields, which serve various purposes. With great concentration, Stig can create a field of sufficient resilience to repel Thor's enchanted hammer (though repeated blows would undoubtedly penetrate it) or physical objects such as large caliber projectiles. He can also surround objects in mystical energy to levitate them. He can also mystically levitate himself and thereby fly at great speed. As with his influence over matter, his magical energy feats only last as long as he maintains them.
Stig can also magically create rifts between dimensions, allowing him or other objects passage from one universe to another. Most often this rift is between Asgard and Earth.
Stig also has the potential to gain knowledge of spells, which he would be able to use for many magical effects. He has learned several from the magical community in Whitescross, Vermont. Stig's son, Viktor possesses all of the same abilities as his father, but h as not manifested these last three yet. He has very little understanding of his magical abilities.
Stig is fluent in Danish, Swedish, English and German Malin is fluent in Swedish, Danish, English and Norwegian

He has changed into a wolf for Julian on occasion. They have developed into a mentor/mentee sort of relationship.
Octavia Lioncourt - Professor of Human Law - Professor Lioncourt is someone Stif has issues with. She is indeed overly arrogant and believes she knows all there is to know about human law. After all, it is her area of specialty. On occasion the two get into heated debate about various points of order regarding the American form of justice versus the European forms. Also, how the Vermont statutes stand up to other areas of the world.
Grace Quinn - Professor of Tracking and Criminal Theory - Grace Quinn is Stig and Malin's oldest friend in Whitecross. They met on a skiing trip to Stowe, Vermont over a decade earlier. It was the encounter with Grace that lead the Jörgensens to move to Whitecross. Malin and Grace are the best of friends and can be seen chatting at school frequently. Stig views her as a sister, begin that they are both shape shifters and they both have Juris Doctorate of Law degrees as well as being registered Attorneys with the State of Vermont.
Mayor Bradley Thompson - The Mayor has become a good friend to Stig acting as the younger councilor's mentor at time. The mayor values Stig's knowledge and shares snippets of wisdom with him in order to help set him on the proper course.
Sherriff Duncan Sanders - The Sherriff is Stig's exercise and running partner. They go out for drinks on occasion, but can be seen working out in the local gym or running the roads and trails of Whitecross.

Deputy William Quinn - Grace's cousin William has been over to the Jörgensen home for cookouts. Grace is always invited and she usually invites family members including her cousin. William and the family have grown close over the years.
@The Spectre, if you would ever like to get into a Military themed 1x1 RP in any era of history, modern era or Sci Fi, I am willing to accommodate you. Also, it would appear you are interested in the Golden Eye Video game which I have absolutely no experience in, but can read that is loosely based on the James Bond universe. I could come up with some sort of a MI-6 themed RP involving a Field Agent protagonist, you would portray and I could cover everyone else to include your support staff and the bad guys you encounter.
@HeySeuss Thanks for putting this in the Characters tab. I referenced it a few times when I writing my post. Care to add Gino Palumbo? He is 6'5" tall and younger cousin to Vito.
"Benny, Vito wants me to tells you, there is no reason to visit the docks this evenin'," Gino Palumbo asserted to the beat cop. Gino stood almost a foot taller than the older New York City Police Officer.
"Yea? Alright, Gino. What gives?" Benny LaGuardia asked the younger Italian man. Gino's older cousin Vito ran the docks for the Scarpello Family. Officer LaGuardia received a stipend of the family's profits in order to keep his nose out of their family's business.
"Wadda ya mean, what gives? You know as much as I do. Vito tells me to tells you, there is no reason to visit the docks, capiche?" Gino was mildly annoyed with the pig's response. He would have loved to punch him right there, but didn't want any unnecessary attention.
"Yea, yea, capiche," Benny answered Gino, who handed him an envelope as their conversation concluded. The New York City Police officer took the envelope and slipped it into his overcoat pocket. "Alright, you have a good night, Gino. Catch ya laters."
"Yea, take it easy officer LaGuardia."
Benny turned north on 4th Avenue, heading up to a certain establishment on the corner of 26th. The brothel run by Sal Mazzara was one of the Scarpello businesses. Benny told Guido Santucci, he'd meet him there later. Guido, like Benny was a veteran of the 308th Infantry Regiment; or The Lost Battalion. The two survived that living hell in a French Forest in late 1918. After the war they both came home and hired onto the New York City Police Department. Guido was, strictly speaking, Benny's partner for the evening. Guido didn't know about the extra income he received from Vito Palumbo and probably would have been open to receiving some outside funding as well, but Benny believed it better not to share this information. Besides, he knew he could steer his partner away from the docks tonight.
"Hey Guido!" Benny yelled at the 71" tall Italian Police Officer dressed in police navy blue.
"Hello Johnny! How's it hanging brother?" Guido responded to Benny's greeting, using his more familiar nickname; only family members and brothers from his army days call him Johnny. People who did not know Benedetto Giovanni LaGuardia from his days as a boy growing up in Little Italy called him Benny. Close friends and family have always referred to him by the nickname of his middle named, Johnny. Sergeant Patrick O'Sullivan, his immediate supervisor tended to refer to him strictly as Officer LaGuardia to his face and Officer Dago behind his back. In regards to both LaGuardia and Santucci, Officers Dago and Wop or simply, the Greaseball brothers. There were only ten Italian police officers in a precinct that was almost exclusively Irish. Benny and Guido did feel outnumbered, but they really didn't feel a strong sense of loyalty to their chain of command. It allowed them to be a bit more discretionary with their police work.
"That fucking Mick wants us to rattle these whores here on 4th," Guido spoke in hushed tones to Benny.
"Yea, I know," LaGuardia kicked at a pebble on the sidewalk. "How about that narrow back tellin' us to go roust a legitimate business like Sal's place." They walked on in silence heading north toward 23rd Street. "Hey! I got it! I hear Paddy Murphy's place on 19th and 5th just got in five barrels of that Irish swill. Maybe we go and roust them fer a bit instead?"
"Yea, brother. let's do that," Guido responded. "I'm kinda bored anyway." The two Italian-American Police Officers hastened their pace continuing north toward the Irish speakeasy. Benny ran his hand over his .38 Military & Police Model of 1905 revolver simply to feel comforted it was there if he needed it.

Gunther is a morning person, but that comes from a life of serving in the military. His chief flaw is saying what pops into his head unrestrained without thinking it over before letting fateful words spill out, full-fledged Gryffindor.

Extras

Quotes or Sayings: “Those who fail to learn the lessons of the past are doomed to repeat them.” – Winston Churchill paraphrasing George Santayana. “If you’re going to fight, fight like the third monkey on the ramp to Noah’s ark and brother…It’s starting to rain.”
Theme Song: Warrior’s Call
Advice To The World: Forgive the actions of those who came before us. Behaviors we consider heinous crimes today were generally accepted practices many years ago.
