If you are a fan of Warhammer 40,000 or Age of Sigmar, let me know. Maybe we can put together an RP. I play Ironjawz & Kruleboyz in AOS and Salamanders & Drukhari in 40K.

Bio

I am a veteran of the United States Army and the US Army National Guard. I spent three years on Active Duty serving in the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) at Ft. Carson, CO, and the 3rd Armor Division at Kirch Göns, West Germany. I spent 18 years in the Army National Guard with the 26th Infantry Division "Yankee" and 29th Infantry Division (Light), "The Blue and the Gray". I was deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina with the 29th ID (L) in 2001 - 2002. I have also been reading military history articles and books since I was 10 years old. I do prefer Military Role Plays over all other genres, primarily because I have a vast knowledge of the subject including personal experiences. At the very least, my characters are always veterans.

I have been writing for pleasure for at least 35+ years but only got into forum-based Role Playing about eighteen years ago. I do enjoy Nation Role Plays and get into minute detail when designing my military. The only reason I enjoy excruciating detail in my militaries is because for me, it is fun. My education and experience on this subject afford me the insight to see the depth of the structure. It is not just a General and a large pile of soldiers. If someone wants assistance in designing an army, navy, or air force, please send me a PM. I will help. Please specify what level (echelon) or depth you would like me to go. When I say echelon, I mean Army, Corps, Division, Brigade/Regiment, Battalion/Squadron, Company/Troop/Battery, Platoon, and Squad/Section.

When I was a student in High School, I used to play Dungeons & Dragons. Recently, I have been DMing a 5e campaign of my creation for my son and his friends. 5e is so much less cumbersome than earlier editions of D&D. I do have an interest in Tolkien-esque fantasy-styled Role Plays as well. Time travel has always been a fun genre for me, but to do it well, one must have a firm grasp of historical facts.

There are only a few fanfictions I will participate in; Star Wars and Star Trek are two of them. I want to do an exclusively Klingon RP one of these days. I also avoid Canon characters.

I have real-world martial arts experience. I would love to write an RP about hand-to-hand combat, no fantasy magic chit, just hands elbows, knees, and feet. Maybe the occasional head butt thrown in to mix things up. I trained in Krav Maga for six and a half years. I earned a first-degree black belt in Krav Maga on 3 June 2017.

Krav Maga is an Israeli martial art form that employs practical self-defense techniques drawing forms & techniques from Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Taekwando. It is very brutal, demanding, and aggressive. During the seven years I trained, I have bruised two ribs, sustained several muscle pulls, and various lacerations and bruises over my body. I have received a sprained ankle and a fractured wrist. Before the first black belt test, I received a bone bruise to my right shin; where my roundhouse kicks impact. Yet, I am stupid enough to continue training. [Regardless of the physical pain, it is more fun than any other physical activity I have engaged in. Fortunately, the bone bruise healed up prior to the third and final test. EDIT: I did leave the sport over five years ago. :(]

Over two years ago I completed my first novel, a science fiction set in the 24th century. It focuses on a Private Military Corporation solely employed by the earth government. I started a second book in November 2022 and hope to work on that this summer when I have more time.

Send me a PM for a Role Play or if you would like to see what sort of an army I could build for you.

From 1999 to 2002, I participate in WWII Historical Re-enactments. I own the equipment a WWII paratrooper would have jumped into Normandy or The Netherlands with during WWII, minus the rifle or carbine. When it was time for a re-enacment, I always borrowed someone else's rifle. I had a lot of fun doing this and even met some of the actual veterans who served in WWII. Because we recreated E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th PIR, I got to meet Dick Winters, Babe Hefron, Bill Guarnere, Shifty Powers and a few others. Those guys have since passed away but it was so cool listening to them tell their stories in person.

The Units look good. The DRMs are right on. @Dutchbag Do you see anything? The names possibly? Character Sketch?
There was something like Alanya that piqued Torsten’s interest. She oozed a certain charismatic flair that instantly made her a friend to their trio. He forgot about how or why she was with them. Seeing the lump of flesh on Oz’ shoulder did remind him occasionally during their walk.

“Yes, we are definitely Norgardians and we are definitely far from home.” Torsten felt no problem with allowing Alanya know where their homeland was. “We’ve traveled extensively on the sea, but occasionally find the opportunity to travel over land. It appears we are in that situation now.”

Torsten looked at Wolf, “what direction?”

Wolf looked up and at the rocks and trees. “South?” the man responded.

“We are definitely traveling southwest,” Torsten offered.

“South is close to Southwest,” Wolf defended his response.

“You’re right, my brother. The trail does arc back to the south on occasion too.”

Torsten listened to Alanya as they walked along the path. Her accent was one he was familiar with. He had heard it before on one of his voyages, but just couldn’t place it. Maybe if he thought about it for a while longer, it would come to him. “Where are you from, Alanya?”

Maybe it was her speech patterns, voice inflection, her looks, or chemistry. He found himself slowly being attracted to the woman. He did not understand the feeling. In fact, he pushed himself away in his mind, refusing to admit the feeling to himself. He didn’t have time for such frivolity.

“Pardon me, my father was a hunter and a tracker like me. We excelled in finding people or game and bringing food from the forest back into the village.” Torsten considered what she said. “That custom is true with some villages, but not all,” Torsten smiled at her.

It took Torsten time to process what he was looking at when they finally cleared the forest. “You know, at firt glance, that looks like the stump of a tree felled years ago, but it can’t be. It circles a town. Is that Oakhollow?” Torsten then thought about the name of the town and realized yes! The tree was an Oak and now it is hollow.

Oz laughed a hearty laugh, with the fat man bouncing on his shoulder as he laughed. “Oak Hollow!” The big man bellowed out a huge laugh.

The party approached the archway in the side of the tree trunk or town. The group was impressed with the etchings, carvings in the wood. “Beautiful,” Wolf allowed in a low tone, commenting on the size and design of the town’s exterior.

“Hopefully, the fee for a room isn’t too expensive. We should be able to cover it.” Torsten smiled at Alanya. “Thanks for leading us here. It has been quite some time since we have seen civilization.” Torsten paused and remembered the fat man. “Oh!? Where do you want this one?”
I see the bad moon a-rising
I see trouble on the way
I see earthquakes and lightnin'
I see bad times today

Don't go around tonight
Well it's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise

I hear hurricanes a-blowing
I know the end is coming soon
I fear rivers over flowing
I hear the voice of rage and ruin

Well don't go around tonight
Well it's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise, all right

Hope you got your things together
Hope you are quite prepared to die
Looks like we're in for nasty weather
One eye is taken for an eye

Well don't go around tonight
Well it's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise

Don't come around tonight
Well it's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise
@Kenshi My image is from Rogue One. It is a stand alone movie of Star Wars. In the 21st Century, Disney made five Star Wars movies. Three fall in line with the Skywalker Story line and SUCK BIG BALLS!! The two stand along movies, Rogue one and Solo are down right awesome in my opinion.
