Current My Italian friend just asked me if it's true that all Americans are fat. I'm offended but I can't stop laughing.

I always respond to OOC tags within 10 minutes, but I respond to PMs within 10 days. I don't know why- I suppose it's just because PMs are so easy to brush aside and forget about

I don't have any finals, but everyone else having finals is slowing down my RPs. Second-hand busyness.

I know it's time to go to bed, because I just started wondering if maybe the whole universe is a single cell on some alien's ass

If a tree falls in the woods and Fox news isn't around to see it, is it still Obama's fault?

And in the end, isn't that all you need to know to RP with me?

This:

That was mildly funny, and I'm not a Republican (not a liberal either) nor a supporter of Ronald Reagan, but let's stop before modern politics gets too heavily pulled into this.
<Snipped quote by Hael>

I'd say yeah, yeah it is. XD

What if, by enslaving 1000 people into a monster-army, you can save the lives of a million? WHAT THEN?

And - to answer the question nobody has asked but everyone is thinking- yes, I'm just using this insane moral debate to procrastinate.
Poet, yes. But I can't stand his books for some reason.

They bore me to death.

You don't like his stories?

Not even The Tell-Tale Heart? There's something chilling about a story told from the perspective of a clearly delusional murderer who is, the whole time, trying to convince the reader he's not insane by describing how clever he was in his killing.

But, yeah, he can be a bit over-descreptive. He once spent like two pages describing just how depressing a house was, before finally saying it was like coming down from a drug high

Now, people, let's get those posts up! You only have until 9 more hours, and the Kraken is not a patient man beast slug-squid-octopus-thing!
@Rtron

Edgar Allan Poe is, by far, one of the best American poets.

I come back after a couple hours and people are now spouting nonsense. What is this sorcery?

This is what you get for leaving. Without our forge-master we all fell into deep, dark depression and became amateur poets.
Yeah, I wouldn't mind if there was a reason to be loyal to Lord Nixus.

Precisely. Maybe he can justify his actions.

If someone uses slavery and torture to save lives, is the slavery/torture really that bad?

*Starts pondering deep, dark questions*
*Realizes I still haven't finished my character*
Just how bad, exactly, is this Lord Nixus?

I mean, clearly he's pretty evil- kidnapping people and turning them into monsters- but does he have an at least semi-justifiable reason, or is he the bona-fide villain who wants to destroy/conquer the world

Not that bona-fide villains are necessarily bad, everyone can get behind a good villain once in a while.

Anyone willing to share a favourite poem of theirs with this poem-lover?

I'm so glad you asked that when I just so happen to have a 1000-page book on Edgar Allan Poe in arm's reach.

My favorite poem for the past few years:

"From childhood’s hour I have not been
As others were—I have not seen
As others saw—I could not bring
My passions from a common spring—
From the same source I have not taken
My sorrow—I could not awaken
My heart to joy at the same tone—
And all I lov’d—I lov’d alone—
Then—in my childhood—in the dawn
Of a most stormy life—was drawn
From ev’ry depth of good and ill
The mystery which binds me still—
From the torrent, or the fountain—
From the red cliff of the mountain—
From the sun that ’round me roll’d
In its autumn tint of gold—
From the lightning in the sky
As it pass’d me flying by—
From the thunder, and the storm—
And the cloud that took the form
(When the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view—"

-Alone, by Edgar Allan Poe

Yeah, I was gonna say, Nixus only wants women, or guys who could pass off as women.

Just to screw that up, I'm now considering making my character the most ultra-mega-super-manly man I can.

Alright, but seriously I have no idea what sort of character I'm making yet. I'm thinking of a sort shadowy, invisible-man type character.
YOU COULD HAVE JUST SAID YES!

Anyway, if I were you I'd give people a few more hours than that, if it is needed.
