Not even The Tell-Tale Heart? There's something chilling about a story told from the perspective of a clearly delusional murderer who is, the whole time, trying to convince the reader he's not insane by describing how clever he was in his killing.

But, yeah, he can be a bit over-descreptive. He once spent like two pages describing just how depressing a house was, before finally saying it was like coming down from a drug high

I mean, clearly he's pretty evil- kidnapping people and turning them into monsters- but does he have an at least semi-justifiable reason, or is he the bona-fide villain who wants to destroy/conquer the world

Not that bona-fide villains are necessarily bad, everyone can get behind a good villain once in a while.

Just to screw that up, I'm now considering making my character the most ultra-mega-super-manly man I can.

Alright, but seriously I have no idea what sort of character I'm making yet. I'm thinking of a sort shadowy, invisible-man type character.
