Current My Italian friend just asked me if it's true that all Americans are fat. I'm offended but I can't stop laughing.

I always respond to OOC tags within 10 minutes, but I respond to PMs within 10 days. I don't know why- I suppose it's just because PMs are so easy to brush aside and forget about

I don't have any finals, but everyone else having finals is slowing down my RPs. Second-hand busyness.

I know it's time to go to bed, because I just started wondering if maybe the whole universe is a single cell on some alien's ass

If a tree falls in the woods and Fox news isn't around to see it, is it still Obama's fault?

I like to write things collaboratively.

And in the end, isn't that all you need to know to RP with me?

I'm inclined to agree with Dawnscroll, because, um...

To balance out that rant with some rare positivism, I really liked the Urgals. Everything about the Urgals as a race and their contribution to the story was compelling, but beyond that the only characters I really liked were the old elf and his similarly decrepit dragon. Can't even remember their names though, it's been a while :/

Throughout much of the books I thought the story was mediocre to good, but at the end I kind of had an epiphany in which I realized all of those things I just listed, and in reflection I kind of tore the series to shreds in my mind for a day or two before concluding that it was overrated.

ME and MY COLLECTION OF INHERITANCE CYCLE BOOKS are offended!

*slaps you with a dragon tail*

EDIT: I realize what you're saying, but believe it or not, the cliche and simplicity of it all felt... well, refreshing. Every author tries to be so "unique and creative" that they reek of desperation. It was nice to have a story that was just a story.

Haha, don't forget, just because he might be a Demi of Sentience, but his mother is in charge of those Minds that contain the sentience.

I have to wonder how that would play out if they were on opposite sides of a conflict and both Gods. Who has more control over the races? The one in charge of their minds and intelligence, or the one in charge of their emotions and sentience? A difficult question indeed
@Hael
What happens if you stump them with a true riddle?

They'll give you some powerful object or knowledge, I assume. Or magic.
@poog the pig The Inheritance Cycle RUINED thay concept for me. I can't help but think of dragon riding with disdain anymore. :/

Wait... are you saying you didn't like The Inheritance Cycle, or that something in the book messed it up for you somehow?

I ask mainly because I loved the Inheritance books. It's okay if you don't, but... why? What is it that bothered you? I MUST KNOW

They could be the riddler dragons!

'PASS MY RIDDLE. IF YOU'RE RIGHT, I'LL GIVE YOU SOME POWERFUL OBJECT/ADVICE, IF YOU'RE WRONG, I EAT YOU.'

"What walks on four legs in the morning
Four legs in the evening
Four legs at night
And is about to eat your mortal ass

That's right, it's me!"
<Snipped quote by Dawnscroll>

Maybe. The GMS shall confer and get back to you.

You could make their social traits various rather than just one single thing. Say they're as varied as humans with (for example) Black Dragons being solitary, while Ruby Dragons live in clan where whoever is strongest rules and there is constant infighting, while Gold Dragons are much more communal, hoarding their gold together in large clans. So on so forth. Mention a few, but it takes the work load off of you and allows some of us, if we so desire, to make dragon cultures.

@Vec
Can Vulamera influence some of the dragons into the Violet Dragons, who hoard wisdom as much as gold? They won't be smart in the book sense, but very wise and meaningful Like if Vowzra tried to write poetry.

They'll still be violent, solitary, aggressive dragons, but they'll be sources of wisdom and deep knowledge to those who can find them without getting killed.

I could have my hero go on a legendary trek to find one of these dragons. It'd be a nice plot device.
bt-dubs @Kho, there was a buddy of mine already asking permission to pull the fire portfolio before KabenSaal popped up.

I also heard Mardox considering the Fire thing, at least briefly.

But fire has many sides: the warm and safe, campfire side. The destructive and violent, lava side. The passionate and emotional, bonfire side.

So I don't personally think there's not a problem with having a million fire gods. It's a big domain, with many potential personalities and uses hiding inside

I sometimes think that maybe we are not as casual as we think ourselves to be ;.; But that shouldn't discourage you from joining in, take @Hael for example, he/she take ages to write a single post but we don't mind ^.^

Heeyyyy, I made two posts this week!

Although, overall I've only made 4, so I guess that's a good point :P
Is Nevix still in this RP?
@Fabulous Knight

Normally I'd be inclined to agree that it's at least two or three Might, but there's a loophole. I assume that there are only a small number of these beings that will be the progenitors for the entire race, so if Mammon moves quickly he could spend one Might affect them all with a censure that would be passed down. That seems like a crafty thing to do, fitting for Mammon and appropriate seeing as it'd be silly to most likely spend more Might adding a curse than making the entire race in the first place had cost Vulamera.

<Snipped quote by Le Op>

Haha, but he most move quickly!

*Vulamera hides them away until they're massively populated*
@HaelThat sounds like something Mammon would take absolute pleasure in doing. How much might would you say it'd cost?

A permanent curse on the entire species?

That's a question for @Cyclone and @Rtron, but I say... 2 or 3 might, since this is a big thing and it's a whole species.
