Current My Italian friend just asked me if it's true that all Americans are fat. I'm offended but I can't stop laughing.

I always respond to OOC tags within 10 minutes, but I respond to PMs within 10 days. I don't know why- I suppose it's just because PMs are so easy to brush aside and forget about

I don't have any finals, but everyone else having finals is slowing down my RPs. Second-hand busyness.

I know it's time to go to bed, because I just started wondering if maybe the whole universe is a single cell on some alien's ass

If a tree falls in the woods and Fox news isn't around to see it, is it still Obama's fault?

And in the end, isn't that all you need to know to RP with me?

Sounds good to me! Thanks for being cool with it.

Anytime, bro! Just remember how cool I was when they're infiltrating and assassinating all important hain leaders, then replacing them with shapeshifting clones that masquerade as said leader for many years (taking breaks to turn back to a liquid), until you are under VULAMERA'S control!

I mean... uh, you're welcome!

Nah, I'll take your opinion anyway. They're a bit much, which is why I'm going to add a weakness.

I'll throw mine in. A constant calling, trying to convince them to just -- shift thinner and thinner until they melt away. They have to resist the temptation every waking second, but the more invisible they turn...the louder the call.

That's perfect.

I suggest that Adversary puts it in them. He'll see Vulamera's nigh-perfectly shape-shifting creation, that can turn into any human, hain, animal or nothing at all, and go "Well, that's no fun!"

Hence, he decides to test their ability to control their own powers, by giving them the constant call.

Also, I may add that they have to turn back to natural form (which is a white liquid) every few hours, or they become frozen in their current form forever. So while they'll be great assassins and spies, they'll have a constant time-limit. Sound good to everyone, @Cyclone @Muttonhawk?
The OldGuild sounds like some obscure illuminati RPing secret. I love it xD

First rule of OldGuild: Don't talk about OldGuild Talk about OldGuild as much as possible to remind everyone that you were there
These shapeshifters are seeming like the race with the default monopoly on assassins. Seems like they've got all bases covered versus sentients.

Are you sure there's no accessible way to out them if you aren't a magic wielder powerful enough to suck out magic from the air? Normally shapeshifting creatures like that have some little arbitrary weakness, like an allergy to salt or something.

You know what? I was thinking about that, and you're right. I promise I'll think up a weakness for them, so they won't be so OP.

Just so I know, does anyone else agree with his complaint? Because I really don't want to accidentally Godmod them, so I'll gladly weaken the guys if its any issue

Or a weak morphogenic field, so people able to sense life can tell they are different from others.

You're just full of ideas, aren't you? *suspicious glare*
I was thinking, several hundred spirits meshed together into one being, and only then realized the flaw in the plan when they realized they had to share. So, cue a ruckus until one won and subdued/ate the rest of them.

Can I just say that I love that idea? And I am jealous of you for having thought of it?

If you create a character like this, Vulamera- my character, Goddess of Mind (Intelligence)- will immediately be fascinated with him and probably help him ascend to Godhood, even if he's pure evil or something, just so she can study him further.
@KabenSaalOr even @Rtron. He's the guy playing the multigod.

Either way, I fully support bugging the co-GMs wherever possible.

Don't forget @Kho. He's worthy of being bugged.
<Snipped quote by Hael>

I'm not saying he wants to force them into anything, but rather allow them the opportunity to join him in making a better future for sentient-kind. Lifprasil was made to accommodate sentients rather than use them as toys, more or less slaves. The tl;dr version of this is Lif just wants to be your bestest friend.

They won't trust him at first, but if he offers safety, then they'll agree, BUT they will demand a good place in his empire. They will not be servants
They're too prideful.
<Snipped quote by Hael>

Well, keep in mind Lifprasil is buddies with the wind God for the sole purpose of changing the environment, and that he has incredible amounts of emotional control over regular sentients. If he becomes buddies with Illunabar he's also going to become even more charismatic than he already is - provided she wants to help him forward. Illunabar is actually going to hustle on by and give him ANOTHER gift.

Oh, no, I meant that a regular army couldn't detect them. Lifprasil will detect, but he'll struggle a good bit. Here's why:

-They use soul manipulation to hide the presence of their spirits.

-The use magic to hide themselves from mystical detection.

-They use telepathy to hide their emotions/thoughts/minds from detection, meaning that even a Demigod like Lif will struggle to feel their thoughts.

-The use the shapeshifting to disperse themselves into an invisible cloud

-They fly way up into the air, so Lif won't notice them at all unless he is also flying, literally moves into one, and manages to notice the change in atmosphere when he enters its body.

That's not to say it can't be done. They are not all-powerful. It's just that you'll ultimately need to change the environment. If it's too hot and dry (a desert, for example) shape-shifting becomes more difficult. Furthermore, they rely on magical currents in the universe to feed themselves (that's right- they eat magic), so if you limit the amount of magic in the air, they'll land and become solid out of desperation to find nourishment on the ground.

So, it is very difficult, but possible. What Lifprasil will need to do is first find out where they are (an extraordinary task in its own right), then suck the magic right out of the air before they can run away, then change the environment at least temporarily.
If you succeed, they should first become solid to find nourishment, then get STUCK as a solid because the environment isn't right for shifting. Congratulations, you are now the proud slaver of a very frightened and confused lifeform who cannot shapeshift away from you. You monster.
@HaelAssuming they don't shift out of the material world, there'll be ways to detect them with occultism. They'll show up in the submaterium.

This will definitely be more difficult than detecting their souls, however.

Awww, well in that case, it'll be HARD AS FUCK to detect them. They use shapeshifting, texture changing, colour shifting, flying, highly advanced magic, soul manipulation, Telepathy and the power to turn semi-physical all at once to essentially be an invisible cloud that you can walk through and barely feel.

It's not easy for them to do this, and it's actually very painful, but it makes them invulnerable to atrack IF they aren't take by surprise. If they are surpised... they fall like dominoes
<Snipped quote by Hael>

What about wizards with staves? HMM?!

Actually, there's a way that Astartian magic might be the only mortal-wielded power to be capable of detecting them when they don't want to be seen. (seriously, these guys make Daegon himself look obvious)

Should I PM you my idea?
