I honestly don't care what people think of me as long as a mutual respect can be reached to the extent of having fun with RP. :3

Kaite watched as the figure swept comrades aside with a swing of their large blade, pounding in the sparking shield of the man she understood was named 'Ivan'. While she could judge his stance and compare it to his confidence to soak the brunt of such a strike rather than deflect it, now was hardly the time. With a comically dismissing sniff, she lifted her shield to the ready before replying to Tiberius. "Yeh, gotta earn that soldier wage somehow, I suppose" she said with a disappointed huff, approaching at his side though separating to ideally spring a two-pronged attack.
That was, until the spell struck.

Formless words from unknown depths seeped into the world from the being who's mere annunciation gave the syllables life, fed from the waning light of the fire. While the flames of the fire could be made out, they seemed hollow and placid. Then went the crackles of Ivan's armaments, off like a lightswitch. It wasn't until the conclusion that the gravity truly sink into Kaite who wasn't a spellcaster and such relied on will over mana. Looking around briefly to the others, a foreign and unsettling stillness seeped into her senses. A clarity as if waking up from a dream as the whispers fell silent; Not so much the dormancy that crept through her being like being watched with the judging eyes of an audience of two dozen superiors, but a cold emptiness. Even surrounded by ailing allies, the void that was left in the place of haunting voices of contempt evoked an agonizing sense of loss.
'Normalcy', some would call the silencing, but thirty years of the damning sway the armor held reduced the sudden snuffing of the nameless chorus to a maddening loneliness.

Kaite's body burned, scores of cursed scars evaporating and leaving every wound stingingly fresh. More than the oppressive hush to the chorus or the knowledge that tight binds of mail and plate was all that kept most of her blood inside her body at this point was a realization of her place in the world. Becoming so reliant on a simple object only to have it taken away...a simple object that took everything else away...put everything into perspective as she fumbled for the ring in a buttoned pocket with shaky hands. The wish finally came to mind. "E-Eru..." Kaite whispered as she paused in her approach, loath to give the impression that her resolve had crumbled, spitting a bit of blood into the interior of her visor. "I nee- ehrnf...need it back...all of it" She continued with a whine of a grunt, somehow managing to stay standing as it felt like the world was wobbling and bending around her.

Everything.
The armor to keep her alive long enough to see the job done. A city that wouldn't drive her away for the monster they now rightfully thought she was, and a place at Ispar's "Gate-Steels" smithy would have been a nice addition, but first things first, of course. Bleeding out after having some shady shit yell 'fuck off' for all intents and purposes was hardly a way to go. Moments after this thought, Kaite wondered if anyone would even remember her face, up in the frozen north. She wasn't the young woman she once was...a small smile working to her fading expression as she thought of the saying 'getting to old for this shit'.
I'll probably have something up, tomorrow.
I'm not around a computer to make edits. Just assume my post instead ends with...I dunno, Kaite not saying anything and assuming a defensive stance upon seeing the newcomer gathering power, or some shit.
If its that big of an issue, I can come back in a while.

Edit: 'Dirty second cousin'. That's a riot. Hm...I might come back to reply.
@XenoCyanide

Call it 'Minnesota Nice', I'm just loath to impose actions upon other characters without permission.
>_<;
I'd want nothing more than to save Xen and get him painted in warg blood at the same time, but...y'know.
@Thinslayer
None of my expression could be made without making it a 'thing' with others in the thread. It would be unfair to be openly genuine of my opinion.

That being said, I think that 'Casual' roleplay instills a sense of responsibility for participants to manage at least a paragraph. Staggering through 1-3 sentences once or twice a week is...not my business. Again, I'm sorry for my absence while incapacitated.

Rapid posting is explainable if it adds to recent events, and I only say this with the occurrence of my own posting. I have never seen it happen like that, but I was a bit fearful that the post I made would be lost if I simply edited it into my initial post. Lord Zee is a real champ and my heart goes out to them for giving Kaite a chance, which I will endeavor to requite.
Rapid posting...hrm...if a person is fighting to be acknowledged and have their characters and posts being impactful to the story and world they exist in, why shouldn't they keep trying until getting a response?

That is probably bias. I'm probably not the best person to ask about such issues. I want to be equal-opportunity regarding my posts, though I wholly understand if (collective) you can't fit everyone's doings into a single post.
Again, wondering if rapid-posting is a good idea. I have enough to form a post, but I missed the memo on posting orders.
>_<
@Darkwatck01
Technically speaking, Kaite wouldn't know what to do with the new arrival who called off the hounds. Shes kinda foolish enough to see a singular ambiguous threat more favorable to a pack of feral beasts.
Man-slayer mentality.

ALSO! Welcome to RPG! I hear you're friends with Thin, and I can say with confidence that they're probably one of* the more passionate and devoted GM's I've ever had the luxury of meeting. Nothing but high hopes, here!
An eerie silence replied to Kaite's challenge, her head shifting from one direction to another. She had to admit, there was a bit of her that hoped the beasts could understand her demeanor and get the hint that they were expected to share the forest and simply eff off. Sadly, the lack of motion convinced her that the 'hard way' would be far more likely. Lowering her arms, Kaite turned her head as she heard Xen's instructions. While being defensive was a sane idea for the situation, a protracted siege of the beasts teasing at their stamina over the course of the night was hardly how the knight intended on spending it.

Arguably thankfully, her thoughts were met with an answer as a crunch of twigs under heavy paws spelled out one of the hulking beasts breaking from the treeline to charge her the moment her attention was seemingly diverted.
Lowering her stance, Kaite brandished her shield to meet the jaws and claws of her assailant with a step in to the blow. A titanic crunch of the two large beings echoed into the woods, black-steel boots tearing into the earth as she was pushed back a few feet from the warg's size clashing with her resolve, it bellowed a roar of a growl. Kaite shook at first before meeting the beast with her own primal shriek, boots tilting and kicking up grass and soil as she angled herself under the creature. Left hand clutching their large sword, Kaite drove the blade into its abdomen and heaved its mass in the process of forcing it back with her own charge which ended with an earth-shaking impact of slamming the fell beast back to the ground. Kaite wasted no time in messily retrieving her sword and sinking it into its throat to silence its struggles and frantic rage-filled yelps.

She slowly stood, kicking the twitching, gurgling creature onto its side and slinging her sword to the side to cast its foul blood from her instrument of destruction. "An'eva see th'likes a ya again..." Kaite shakily chuckled, not a huge fan of animals to begin with but reluctant to show a shred of wavering in her composure for the sake of moral which was precious at this point.
Though she began backing up towards the group, a second warg flew from the shrubs. Though reflexes were enough to save Kate from taking the massive jaws to the face, rolling from the impact against her shield, her retaliatory strike fell short as a glancing blow. Just when her hands were full enough, a third darted towards the camp from her direction.

While ignoring her recent attacker wasn't the brightest idea, she still took the time to juggle her shield to the handle emerging from behind it and flipping the lock on a sheath before taking a step and whipping the shield at the warg, cracking into its skull and sending it sprawling from the concussive force. No sooner had she looked back than massive jaws clamped down on her sword arm with a screech of steel and a cry of pain from the knight who reeled back before leveling her head back to the beast. The freshly drawn shortsword found its new home in the throat of the warg, Kaite snarling as she muscled the blade down to its sternum and spilled the vital fluid all over her cloak.
In its death throes, its grip began to weaken, though not enough to allow Kaite the mobility to avoid the third beast from recovering enough to charge and rake across her torso with keened claws. Fabric from her tabard and ink-black rings of mail flew from the strike, sufficiently protecting her down to the mangled surcoat underneath, though certainly worse for wear.

Curiously, as the metal fragments hit the ground, they blew away in a fine mist. A few vorpal slashes of the shortsword elegantly carved up the beast's face and forcing it to back off with enraged barks and growls, an eye hanging from its socket. It paced for a moment, lowering itself and preparing to strike again while Kaite knelt with her backup weapon poised to counter. There was no way she would leave herself open to completely free her dominant arm.
