Yeah don’t ever recall BLM charging the US Capitol building, scaling the walls, attacking Capitol police and breaking windows to enter.

"Thanks, yours are pretty interesting too," Erik said to Risty as he returned the smile, glancing at the dangerous looking woman. "I handle explosives, if you need something blown up, I can do it." He said confidently, he earned the right to be, he'd been at it for awhile now and was damn good at what he did, though he'd never say he was.

He looked at the captain, Thomas as the man introduced himself the crew. Erik's analyzing the man with his eyes, trying to get a read on him. The man looked well enough to lead a ship, Erik just hoped the captain could handle the different personalities the ship would have aboard it. His point was reaffirmed as another crewmen stumbled in, another female sounding like she just ran a marathon.

"Did you run here from the other side of the planet or something?" Erik asked the co-captain right after she introduced herself to the crew.
We're waiting for one more person to join?
The annoying alarm blared in the small bedroom, causing the man, Erik Brindley who was laying facedown on the tossed bed to turn his head, staring at the clock for a moment before he brought a hand hard down on it, stopping the alarm and damn near smashing the machine. He yawned as he sat up, rubbing his tired eyes, then noted the time, he had to be at the meeting place in exactly one hour, more than enough time to get ready.

He glanced around the room, then at himself, within an instant he disappeared into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him, the sounds of a five minute shower being taken could be heard as Erik cleaned himself up, then reemerged from the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his in shape form. He pulled open his backpack, pulling out a set of fresh clothes. Simple, a clean white T shirt, nice jeans, combat boots and a jacket. Not like he had to wear a monkey suit where he was going, nor would he really want to.

As he finished getting dressed, and tying his boots he picked up his pack, then zipped it up and left the room, closing the door behind him. It was just some cheap hotel he only had stayed at for the night, he just needed to find a cab to bring him out to the forest where the military base he was supposed to meet the others at was. It was a military base so he couldn't just have the cabbie drop him off at the front door, maybe just have the driver stop near the forest entrance. Erik was smart enough to find where to go, they did give him directions.

After briefly visiting the food court, and snagging a bagel, he popped out the hotel, his eyes blinded momentarily by the star hanging high in the sky. It was really damn early, and he still wasn't used to this beautiful world, made him almost forget about the hellhole he managed to crawl out of, almost. He took a bite of the bagel, then signaled for a taxi, which appeared right away. He muttered for the driver to take him out to the forest, then swung into the backseat, placing his pack next to him.

He reached his destination shortly, stepping out of the cab, his eyes looking around the wondrous forest. It was one of the few times he actually saw a legitimate forest. He paid the taxi driver, then began his walk, his backpack slung onto his back. He underestimated the walk, and finally saw the military base, he figured he was one of the last ones there, not like he was late, it was just that people always showed up early. He was on time.

Erik stepped through the front door, noting the receptionist, who he approached, the woman looking up at him with open eyes.

"I'm Erik Brindley, supposed to be here for some Medusa mission" He stated, rubbing the back of his neck, still tired as he didn't get very much sleep, never did the night before something big like this. The receptionist motioned him towards the cafeteria, which Erik responded to with a nod and a thank you, then moved towards the room.

He paused, finding a table which seated what he assume were his crew, a mix of females and males, some of them looking more like hired thugs than soldiers. Though he was told it wasn't exclusively
military personal that were chosen for the job, so he wasn't too surprised to see people from different walks of life. He expected it.

"Hope I'm not too late, was a hell of a walk to get here." Erik said, flashing a grin in the near silent room, trying to carve away some tension. He wanted to start off on the right foot, giving the wrong impression to these people would make things awkward on the mission.

Erik shuffled out of his jacket and backpack, dropping both on the floor near where he sat down. His shirt revealing the detailed tattoos on his arms. They would have to see them sometime, and besides, there were others with tattoos, it wasn't like he was the inked freakshow in the group, it made him feel less out of place.

"It's nice to meet you all, I'm Erik," He stated to the others with a friendly expression. "Thrilled to finally get going."
Just got home, will post in the IC soon
Hope I'm not too late with my character. Just saw this RP and I'm very interested in it.

Erik Brindley

GENDER: Male
AGE: 30
DATE OF BIRTH: 9 - 10 - 2570
BIRTHPLACE: Lunia, located in the Sigma Draconis system. A deep colony system.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Erik's most distinguishing features are the tattoos on both of his arms. He tends to wear long sleeved shirts in formal settings to cover them up.

PERSONALITY: Erik is a normally quiet man, but when he's around people he is friendly with he'll crack jokes with ease. He tends to spend his time in near solitude, tinkering with weaponry or analyzing anything that will give an advantage in battle. He's not afraid to speak his mind when he has a problem with something, and will confront somebody if he has an issue with them.

LIKES: Explosions, weaponry, tattoos, loud guitar driven music, space (he finds it calming), older sci fi films, beautiful women and competition.
DISLIKES: Needless killing, drug addicts, uncomfortable silences, being accused of things he didn't do, smoking, snobs, the selfish and hurting children.

TALENTS:
- Erik is extremely skilled with explosive devices, whether it be grenades, mines, missile launchers or bombs.
- He is solid shot with pistols and SMGs and can hold his own in a firefight. He requests the standard SMG, semi automatic pistol and an array of explosives whenever going into battle.
- He's excellent at planning tactics for a battle, whether it be in the heat of the moment or in the calm before. He will happily suggest breach points on enemy ships or flanking routes so his allies gain an advantage.
PSYCHE ABILITIES: N/A

FAMILY:
Mother - Alice Brindley [DECEASED - Homicide (Unsolved)]
Father - Dane Brindley [DECEASED - Suicide (Asphyxiation)]
Twin sister - Jacqueline Brindley [ALIVE]

HISTORY:
Erik Brindley, a deep colonist, was born on the small, harsh colony of Lunia, a world near the center of its solar system covered with makeshift cities and brutal deserts. He was born in the core city of New Ivory, the capital city on Lunia. His father worked in a factory for a crappy but liveable wage, his mother was unemployed like many others in the city, she spent her time caring for Erik and his sister, Jacqueline.

Erik and his sister were troublemakers, though they never did anything really serious, they often pickpocketed others, though they tended to target the better off people, stealing from the poor was pointless. Erik planned to leave Lunia as quickly as he could, but these plans were halted by several events which occurred.

Towards the end of his schooling, Erik's mother was killed by an unknown assailant, though Erik himself believed it was some strung out druggy who tried to mug his mother in order to get money to feed his disgusting habit. The police, who were very incompetent and corrupt never found the murderer, which still angers Erik to this day, as he just wanted to find the sick man who could take his caring mother's life, she had done nothing wrong, she only wanted to raise her kids and find happiness on an unhappy world.

Erik took care of his sister more, as their father grew terribly depressed after his wife's death, he seemed to be disconnected with his two children, which caused concern in both of them. Their concerns were right as soon after both of them had finished school, their father took his own life through hanging. Erik never blamed his father for going out the way he did, he could tell his father was at peace with his decision, knowing that his two children were at the point where they could care for themselves, the man missed his wife so much, he wasn't the same person without her.

Erik enlisted shortly after leaving Lumia at the age of 20, his sister and him drifting apart. The last words she told him were thay she going to become a nurse, help the needy and sick. He hasn't spoken to her since then, and he'd like to make contact with her once more. Maybe after the mission, well, if he survives.

Erik's enlistment was the right idea as he distinguished himself as a skilled soldier, especially as an explosive expert within the military. If someone needed a bomb placed, Erik knew exactly the right one to choose, where to place it and the distance they needed to retreat to avoid being blown away along with the explosive.

He spent nine years in the military, doing whatever he was asked, fighting in several battles and gaining a new view on things along the way. After a short shore leave, he received a request to join an elite crew meeting on Sycamore. He left for the planet immediately, interested in what it was really about.

THEME SONG: Mastodon - Feast Your Eyes
Zyre was on his feet as he saw the last thug go down, his mercenary group had won the scuffle, he was impressed by them, their first battle together, without weapons and a surprise one at that, and they did a great job. He picked up his weaponry, sliding all of the items to the spots where they were supposed to be on his person, he then moved towards where the team was forming up, but he paused to look down at one of men who attacked the group, grabbing at his side. Zyre swung with his boot into the man's midsection, kicking hard. A grin appearing on his face as he stepped over and moved towards the ship.

The ship was a solid vessel, it had better have been after the brawl they just had to win to get the rights to her. As he stepped onboard, he noticied a drop of blood fall in front of him, he rose his gloved hand to his face to find the source, a nose bleed, one of the brutes slugged him right in the face, didn't break anything, just left a mark right below his right eye and caused his nose to bleed heavily.

He reached into one of his pockets, pulling out a handkerchief, he brought it up to his face, right where the blood was trickling out. Zyre looked around the ship, then moved towards the side, standing so that he got a beutiful view of the sea, the ships and the sun in the sky. He never loved the sea as much as his father did, but it could be beautiful at time.
Ink Blood said
Well a squad is usually made up of about nine individuals. Viktor took out one, Ana got one, Iver got two, Fyn got three, Cynric got two, Merek got one, Seán got one. Am I forgetting anyone?

Zyre got one, broke the guy's arm.
Zyre carefully removed all his weapons, laying each one down as soon as the fight was announced. He disliked having to fight hand to hand, but it was similar to using a sword, speed mixed with intelligence and he would get out of it unscathed. The mob of large men charged at their group, Zyre making space between him and the others as one of the men came at him, going for a tackle. The assassin moved out of the way at the last second, causing the assailant to stumble.

Before the heavy could get up, Zyre was on him, his hands on the man's arm. Using all of his strength, he grabbed the arm, then brought down a hard fist right into it, his intent was to shatter the bone and take the brute out of the fight before it even really began. He was rewarded by the scream of pain from the man as his attack worked.

As he rose to his feet he turned to see another heavy charge at him, this one was quick and managed to knock Zyre off his feet. The man rolled on top of him and began tossing punches, which Zyre tried to defend himself from by using his arms to block the fists. Once there was a break in the punches, he shuffled, then brought his head up, aiming to headbutt the man in the neck. The man stumbled off of him, and the brawl resumed as Zyre threw a punch to the face.
I'm still here, I'll get something up in the IC in a bit.
I'm good right now with people to 1x1 with, I'll keep you guys in mind if I can fit in another RP.
