"No kidding." the black-haired teen agreed, seemingly materializing out from the thick of the crowd right behind Ciel. In the middle of all the unrest rising in the casino right now, a couple of kids were easy to lose track of. Especially so, considering the guards already had a confirmed threat to worry about.

That being said, they needed to move fast. The longer they stayed out in here, the larger their chances of the jig being up'd be. With that in mind, he quickened his pace as much as he reasonably could without sounding like a charging elephant.

"Don't suppose 'we got lost looking for the bathroom' would be a good alibi, huh?" he muttered in a low voice to his fellow new teammate.

"Some party, huh?" he mentioned in passing, flashing a grin the way of a couple female patrons. To his pleasant surprised, they smiled back and shot a thumbs up with their free hands. Ergo, the ones not holding drinks.

Probably doesn't count, does it? I ain't so lucky.

Well, whatever. Now wasn't the time to be worried about that beyond whatever'd make him look like a regular crowdgoer. Self-esteem could shove it, he was on a mission right now.

But, logic also dictated that him stopping and engaging in pointless conversation (always a hobby of his) would probably make much more sense than passing with one line, headed straight towards Jack.

Honestly, he was probably overthinking it. Just going with the flow of things would make this a lot smoother. Meticulousness could shove it, he was on a mission right now.

Enrolling in the walking tri-alogue for as long as he would be welcome, he found himself surprisingly at home shooting banalities back and forth. Maybe heading straight into a mission on his first day wouldn't be quite as bad as he thought.

All the while, he kept part of his brain tuned into his left ear, awaiting any updates. Mokuren's entry was going south... he made a mental note of where she'd been, assuming that no update from her meant that she didn't need help yet.

Murphy'd let them know if her communications were offline for another reason, right?

Right. He needed to play it cool for now, and trust the faunus to handle herself. He may not have liked that one bit, but rescuing urges would need to shove it.

Best thing to do in a real life situation is get out of there ASAP. I'm a big martial arts guy but I'll be the first to tell you to run as soon as you can if you're in danger.

I'll save my combination punching and body work and grappling for a controlled environment, where I won't have dying to worry about.
