Current Just ran a stale yellow. Nobody on this website is doing it like me, sticking it to the man like me, blazing a trail against tyranny like me. the only thing revolutionary about you is your rhetoric

Takeru Segawa is the type of man they made myths out of. Intensely privileged to be able to say I watched him burn so bright as he did before going out with a win. I’ll miss you, hero.

Luke Schwarz--Under Fire

BANGBANGBANGBANG

What the--

Ciel?!

Well, that certainly had changed the tide of the situation. Straight from nearly-sure victory to being on the wrong side of a three-on-one. What was this, middle school all over again?!

Shoving the complaints aside and sprinting after the (severely winded and dazed) Faunus he'd been mauling a moment earlier, he at least could take solace in that knew what he needed to do. Morgan's mistake was assuming he couldn't hear just because his hair was a bit shaggy.

Honestly.

Did people just not care about him? He was right there. Even if he'd turned to gawk at his teammate for a moment (unfortunately allowing Mordred precious moments to recover), he still had his ears on a...

I never found that phrase.

Anyway.

Obviously she was pulling something to cause Ciel to have her sudden change of heart, given her comment about "handling" Luke for his opponent. Anyone could make the correlation between that and the sudden cryogenic rounds bouncing off of his aura. He grimaced even as he advanced upon the still-shaky Mordred; those would make life a bit closer to hell if one landed. Ice repeatedly tearing through flesh...

Even with his semblance nullifying any long-term effects of that, it was still painful to simply imagine, let alone actually experience!

Keeping a mental note of Ciel's position, Luke circled towards his right, angling himself so Mordred was in the way of at least some of the incoming fire from his teammate. As soon as he sensed the Faunus following his lateral motion, he switched gears, this time springing diagonally forward and to the left, smacking that mask again with a stiff lead right.

Making economical use of his momentum, he transferred the same energy from the burst forward and punch that covered the distance between him and his foe and weaved low, transitioning from striking to something a bit more familiar: Wrestling.

Takedown Basics--

1. Remove opponent's base.

Luke scythed his arms around the back of Mordred's knees and locked his hands together, reaping inward with the big muscle groups of his chest and back.

2. Attack their center of gravity.

While he was completing the first step, he never halted his forward motion, driving his shoulder straight through Mordred's hips like an oncoming train.

3. Complete and obtain top position.

The combination of these twin factors, Mordred's base being pulled out from under him and his hips being jostled off position, as well as his being caught unawares by the sudden shift in tactics resulted in the teen accomplishing a formidable double-leg takedown. And while he may not have quite been Fedor Emelianenko, he could certainly take a page out of The Last Emperor's book. Having one's own weight and Luke's being forcibly driven onto the hard, unforgiving floor of the club was a recipe for injury at the very least.

A dull thud followed as the entangled bodies hit the floor, Luke roughly in what was known as side control.

Hopefully Mordred'd hit his head on the way down and would be out of the picture. While the entire sequence had taken less than a second to complete, every instant Ciel thought he was an enemy put him in more and more danger of being drastically injured by that gun if something got through his Aura.

Getting torn to shreds by his own teammate on their first mission together was not how he wanted to go out!

Yyyyyeeeeeeep. It's pretty sketchy down here right now.
@Suku

You on AT&T's wild ride too?
Might be interested. Still open, right?

I'll do a bit more looking around.
RIP
Well it looks like I didn't have as clear a grasp on that bit as I thought

What do I do to save face and not admit I'm wrong on the internet here again?

Oh here's a classic

I was trolling, yeah. T-totally.

Ha, they'll never guess I screwed up now
I'd imagine Shiro's pretty far from the city, unfortunately.

Speaking of, how'd the nightclub apparently have a back room embedded in a mountainside?

@MULTI_MEDIA_MAN

It reads like he himself has it out for the character. Especially when he's the one who wrote the weapons and heirloom being lost. Entirely his decision to play it out that way.

Just bugs, man.
I'll ship it.
I find your hardon for hating on Shiro at every turn excessive.
I'm just not strong enough to defeat their Wu-tang style
