| A P P E A R A N C E: |

First thing you will notice about Ax is his imposing figure. He's standing at a massive 9 foot and 2 inches and weighing over 300 pounds, making him a hulk of a man. He's got rugged looks, a strong jaw and an unshaven face. His once Brown hair is now a mix of fading Brown, and Gray hairs, and so is his scruffy facial hair. Tanned skin and blue eyes, well, eye. As his right eye was lost in his youth and he's been wearing an eye-patch ever since. That's not the only injuries he's got, as most of his body is covered in scars, swords, bullets, cannons, fire, frostbite, the whole ordeal. Notable is his hands, where he's missing both of his ring fingers, having been cut off in his teenage years. He's usually seen wearing buttoned long sleeve T-shirts in two tones, usually black sleeves with white chest with a tank top under. He wears a watch on his right wrist, and a leather bracelet on his left. He's usually seen baggy pants in navy blue or black. Black leather boots is just about the only footwear he wears, the pants hanging over them.

He dons his coat over his shoulder, his sheath for his axe slung over the coat, and his gun belt by his waist, both pistols on his right side as he is left handed. He wears the traditional marine cap, his is worn and dirty and all washed out, it being only his second cap, his first one was destroyed in battle after 21 years of service. He wears the cap either backwards or straight forward, he carries a pair of biker goggles with sunglass lenses in them around his neck, or on his forehead resting on the brim of the cap. He's often seen smoking, cigars or from his pipe.

| P E R S O N A L I T Y: |

Ax, while imposing, is actually something of a softcore guy. He's got incredible patience and ability to keep his cool, not one to get overly excited very easily. However, when he gets angry his fury is relentless. In his old age, he's grown more and more frustrated, his waining physical shape's cause for much anguish for the aging Marine, well past his prime. His many years of war has hardened him some, while he's not one to quickly turn to violence, he is no longer phased by it, the sanctity of life is all but lost on him, and in many regards, he's a man who has lost his spark - his flame for Justice, Absolute or otherwise.

Once a commander with fire in his stomach and utter belief in both the system, the government and his fellow Marines, this has all but faded now. He keeps an upbeat outlook on life, not being a downer or depressed, but more so nihilistic about the whole world.

That being said, he still takes some joy in splattering pirate blood all over his deck, like any sea-fearing marine should.

| A B I L I T I E S: |

Armament Haki is his forte, protecting his body and enhancing his weapon is how he's survived more battles than most Marines will ever fight. He's got limited promise using Observational Haki, focusing on raw power over the utility of Observational Haki. He's been known to be able to resist Conqueror's Haki at least once, but that's hardly remarkable for someone of his experience.

He's a skilled shot with a pistol, albeit no master marksman or sharpshooter. He's an excellent brawler,
either with his fists, a knuckleduster, or with his trusty axe he keeps slung over his shoulder. Beating folks to a pulp with his savage strength or incredible swings. His mighty physical form, raw power and surprising speed despite his size - and age makes his swings extra deadly. He's got rudimentary training and experience with the Six Forms, as would all of his experience, but he's not a reliable user of the Six Forms, finding it too focused on showing off than getting shit done.
He's an experienced commander, having taught, trained lead and fought alongside Marines and other soldiers for better part of half a decade. However, in his advanced age, he is not quite the brute he once was, his powers are waining and his best days are behind him.

Poetry. Colt is despite his rather brutish traits a hopeless romantic - he's not all that good at writing poetry, not about the battles he's fought, nor about the loves he's lost. But he tries, and that's what counts. While writing, he wears small spectacles to help him see what he's typing.

He's an excellent swimmer. Quite the Foodie and bit of a Wine Snob, though he is deeply ashamed of how snobbish he is when it comes to wine. He is however not as picky when it comes to other booze.

Ax Colt is born on an Island in the South Blue, Big Tree Island, named after the massive trees that grow there. His father, Hammer, was a shopkeeper in his daytime, but also worked part-time as a captain in the Big Tree Island Militia, as the country was loyal to their royals, and not the World Government, thus, they did not recieve Marine help to fend off Pirates, or other bandits, as Pirates were rather rare during Ax's youth. His early years were unremarkable, he was a regular kid, he laughed, he played, he never had a mother – she died during childbirth, never really weighed on him. He joined the militia at 12, four years too young to normally join, but he lied to the other officers about his age, and they believed him, letting him join them during their training.

He fought bandits, stopped thiefs, protected officials, that sorta thing for an entire year, making an okay wage doing it, till his father found out and forbid him from continuing – he didn't listen, this only caused a great rift between father and son. Ax had an apptitude for battle, to prove himself – to do great things. He learned how to fight with a Gladius and Buckler, like all of the soldiers of his home. At fourteen, the island was invaded by Pirates – Slavers, in fact. The army fought them off bravely, but not without a cost. Dousins of their frontline soldiers had been taken captive – Ax being one of them.

Hammer was beside himself, and manned a rescue. Meanwhile, The captors were under the banner of "Four Finger Feenix." A mad pirate whom legends said had gnawed his own fingers off, and would cut off the fingers of anyone who crossed his path. Feenix cut off both of Ax's ring fingers, as he did with all of his prisoners he had captured, as a sign of dominance. After weeks in captivity Ax staged an escape on the pirate ship, breaking out of captivity with a handful of his fellow Big Tree natives, plus some of the other captives, he lead them out of the pirate ship once it had docked, during the cover of night. Their weapons and armor had been stolen, so they had to improvise. Sharp rocks and hard sticks became their weapons – except for Ax, whom found a woodcutters axe stuck into a tree. The weight of the metal head served his natural strength and agility rather well, forgoing the use of a shield for the increased power behind every swing. Ax got his revenge against Feenix, decapitating him with that very same weapon, putting a eight million bounty to rest.

They never did find out how to get back home, instead, Ax made his way onto a Marine vessel, and enlisted. Once more, he lied about his age, claiming to be a whole 16, not 13, and he was allowed onboard the S21 unit, the only one in South Blue at the time. He spent three more years in the South Blue, never once returning home to Big Tree Island, his father still searching for him, Hammer's grief never struck Ax's mind.

At the mere age of 16, Ax was snet off to Marineford to undergo officer training, them believing the make-believe 19 year old to be worthy of a officer rank, and so it was he became an Ensign, and began his work in the Grandline.

_{Young Ax Colt}

Ax has over the years taken more bullets to his flesh, more swords have grazed his skin, and more flames have singed his body than just about anyone in the Marines, yet, he survived it all, refusing to die as if by stubbornness alone. At age 18, he became a Captain, his military career was a success, an excellent combatant and commander, bringing his crew together and overcoming one great threat after another.

Ax suffered his first defeat as a Commodore, in the Grandline. Aged 24, fighting on a small set of Islands in the middle of Paradise. His platoon, G11, Patrol 6, were outnumbered against six crews of pirates, in a free-for-all battle royal. Ax and his Ensign, and Protegé, Liam Northgate, faced off against 3 of the captains and first mates of those ships. Ax lost his eye, but Liam paid the ultimate price. His first great failure, and one that would set it's marks forever in the spirit of the young star, one with the potential to become one of the greatest Marines of his era.

He continued having a fairly succesful military career, becoming Rear Admiral by 32, and after the quelling of the Wano Rebellion, one that he had a great hand in, he was promoted to Vice Admiral by 37.

A well decorated war hero, leader, inspiration and just about poster boy for the Marines, Ax had just about it all going for him. But he still wasn't happy. He had forgone his roots, given in to his pasion for justice, and kind of lost himself in it. Doubt began to grow inside of him.

As a Vice Admiral, he did surprisingly little. He partook in a few battles, traded blows with some of the greatest Pirates to ever live, even going so far as to being part of a unit that fought against Gol D. Roger's pirates himself. He was there for Roger's execution, part of the security detail, guarding the town where Roger met his end, fending off the many pirates that did try to save him, but it was all in vain.

Colt saw Roger's final look. How he died grinning, and it unsettled him, rattled him, even. How could someone so evil, so rotten to the core, be pleased with himself when everything he had worked for was in ruins?

He began faltering in his duties, drinking a little too much, spending a little too much time writing his less-than-excellent poetry. But it all came to a heed five years ago, when he heard a ringing he had never heard before. His silver Den Den Mushi rang, as it did on the 2 other warships that were nearby. The greatest military action on all of the seas had been issued. The Buster Call.

And to make matters worse, it was on his home island, Big Tree Island. The royal army had become too strong, and the World Government decided that would be enough, to not further escalate the situation they would put the entire island down, grind it into dust and leaving nothing but ruins.

Ax would have no part in it, he tried contacting HQ to call the attack off, but they would not listen to him, he had not authority to make the call, it came from the Den Den Mushi of an Admiral. And so, his ship sailed back to his home, where he had not been in four decades, to destroy it and eliminate any ties to his past he ever could have had.

His men understood this was very hard for him, and put their loyalty to him over their loyalty to the Navy, or to the World Government. When the buster call was initiated, Ax's ship did not fire a single cannon on the island, instead they spent the entire time actively protecting civilian ships, putting themselves in harms way, shooting out volleys of their fellow Marine's fire.

Ax met one of the other Vice Admirals, Markos, a scyther wielding lunatic whom had been undercover as a pirate captain for the past few years, a hotshot whom made Vice Admiral even younger than Ax did, truly impressive. Markos boarded Ax's ship and demanded an explaination for this treason, and Ax explained he would not let the Marines just kill his home.

Markos attacked Ax on the spot, and the two Vice Admirals duked it out for more than a day, both sustaining heavy injuries, being evenly matched. But, in the end, Ax was victorious. He spared Markos life, and decided to sail away from what remained of Big Tree Island – most of the civilians had made it out thanks to him.

As he made his way back into the grandline, he was met by a marine brigade, 20 warships strong. Whom called for his arrest for treason, while some wanted him executed for his insubbordination, they instead stripped him off his rank, and sentenced him to life in prison.

Life in Impel Down, on the harshest level, Level 6. Along with all of the most hardened criminals in the entire Grandline. Life In Impel Down for a Vice Admiral was not expected to be very long – and every pirate in the entire joint wanted to take him down, be the one to kill Ax "The Headsman" Colt. Ax spent the next three years fighting every single day, sustaining injury after injury, constantly being overwhelmed, enemies at all sides. The guards did not want to help him, and the pirates hated his guts, he was well and truly alone.

Two years ago, he was released, after it had been discovered that the Buster call was created by a rogue Golden Den Den. It was a fake, the people of Big Tree Island did not deserve to die, and Ax had been somewhat justified in his actions. But, due to his punishment and actions, Ax could not get his rank restored, instead, he would be sent off into the New World, to G5's HQ, be given the rank of Inspector, and oversee their actions.

However, soon, he got dulled by the desk-work, and instead put in to be replaced as a field officer, Commodore of the Second Patrol, serving under Vice Admiral Freyja.

BANG N RANG: His double barrel shotgun has served him very well throughout the years, like most of his gear it is very worn and misfires almost as often as it shoots straight.

Twenty years ago, those were the words that changed the world forever. The greatest pirate in all of history met his end, and what was intended as a day of celebration and the beginning of the end for Piracy, would instead usher in a new age of villainy and warfare on the sea. With Roger’s last words, he set the world ablaze. Hundreds of thousands of people took to the seas, to try and find where Roger’s great treasure was hidden. And over the years, the next generation followed in their footsteps, the Grand Line became a battlefield once more, 360 degrees combat everywhere you looked, nations being toppled and governments destroyed. Some did it out of greed, others out of pure lust for chaos and destruction, and some set out to see the world, looking to find the truest freedom in the world.

With the ushering of the Great Age Of Piracy, forces rose up to resist them. The World Government and their Navy would protect their interests at every turn, protecting civilians and stopping anyone who tried to find Roger’s treasure. The New World is the most important front in the battle between Villainy and Justice.

And you are put dead center in the chaos, on board a Vessel belonging to the Navy, a member of the unorthodox G5 unit. A Marine who plays fast and loose with the rulebook, a cowboy who's shooting from the hip in this Brave New World, soon to realize you are in over your head.

Setting

Setting:

This RP will take place in an Alternate Universe of the beloved world of One Piece. Aside from the Legendary Roger, who will be mostly irrelevant beyond his influence in starting the Pirate Age, there will be no Canon characters present. Aside from what’s noted here, the setting is largely as you are familiar with from the series proper.

The Tech:
Before Roger became the King Of Pirates, the black liquid was found in the new world, and was soon taken hold off by the World Government and a few other factions, thus beginning an industrialization of the world that changed many things. The world has it’s fair share of machinery most could not even have imagined, engines that transport the biggest ships, making it possible to sail even when there is no wind at all, and factories that can create weapons en masse.

Not to mention the more luxurious items, such as motorized personal vehicles. Single person vehicles, such as motorcycles are the most common, but trains that run off of oil or coal are not unknown in bigger and richer kingdoms.

The New World
The second half of The Grand Line, The New World is the final frontier of the world, where the strongest of the strongest duke it out to try determine who is top dog. It is absolute chaos at times, yet at other times can be deceptively calm, allowing civilians to live out their lives just fine on many islands. Many islands in the New World that sustain life are kept as territory by one of the powers that be, whom protect their keep. But in the tumultuous New World, entire kingdoms can be toppled overnight simply because some forces decided to throw their weight around, leaving nothing but destruction in their wake. Due to the harshness of The New World, the first half of the Grand Line is often called “Paradise” when comparing the two, making this sea a Purgatory.

It is ruled by the three strongest Pirates in the world, the Emperors, fighting for territory between one another, all of them trying to grasp the One Piece, Roger’s treasure. The World Government also has a rather powerful presence here, though, due to the inflammatory relationship between the three Emperors, the world government rarely finds it necessary to send in heavy troops into The New World, instead focusing on keeping newer pirates out, by keeping them in Paradise.

The Navy

Marineford, the Headquarters of the Marines is located in the middle of the Grandline, an almost impenetrable fortress, and since the 5 year war, following Roger’s Death, they have had control over the only two main entrances into The New World, due to them having control of Fishman Island, that is located directly under Marineford. Due to them achieving control of Fishman Island, they keep a lot of newer Pirates out of The New World making it into kind of a quarantine for the worst of the worst to duke it out, only sending in heavy troops to handle massive threats.

The G5

The G5 are a special force within the Marines, they are one of the few bases permanently placed in the New World, and is as such supposed to comply with many duties, such as scouting and tracking pirate activity, letting HQ know if anything is worth their concern, considering the danger of the sea, that would be very frequently. G5 is Four battleships, plus one base located in the New World, the four ships are each commanded by a Vice Admiral, and the Base is commanded by yet another Vice Admiral, who’s job it is to direct the four ships and to mobilize forces, calling for backup or other such tasks. G5’s got a reputation for being the roughest men and women of the Marines, some even say that the only difference between a man aboard a G5 ship and a pirate vessel is the colors they fly. This is mostly rumours, but they hold some meaning, especially in the 2nd Patrol due to the lax supervision of their Commanding Officer.

Since your character will be of the rather infamous G5, you should have this in mind when creating your character. Those assigned at G5 are typically too rough, rambunctious, or otherwise ill-fitting for a typical division, pissed some higher up off, or just weren’t liked enough to be placed under the command of someone who wanted them, slipping through the cracks to be posted in the worst sea in the world. G5 is where the idealistic glimmer in the eyes of young Marines who believe in Justice is lost to the utter chaos and despair those in G5 face every day. Where each day, the men and women of the base fantasize back to better times where it felt like the Marines were all powerful, so far removed from the cruel reality they face in the New World.

Races

There are many different races present in the New World, however, humans are the most common once. Though, Fishmen are more and more common, since the Marines took over Fishman island, several of the Fishfolk have fled to the New World, and those that couldn’t have been essentially stripped of their rights. Many Fishmen are made conscripts into the Navy, and those that make poor Marines, or turn to crime are often punished either through cruel public beatings, imprisonment, or sometimes even execution. The Slavery of the Fishfolk is something that’s causing a lot of divide between the Marines. Other than the Merfolk, Giants are not unheard off, neither are Dwarfs, Minks, Skyfolk, or the other races in the Grand Line. However, due to the relative unpopularity of the World Government in the nonhuman communities, they aren’t as common in the forces of the Marines as Fishmen.

4. No, there will be no awakened Devil Fruits. Mythical Zoans and strong Logias are not disallowed, but are discouraged, as are fully fleshed out Canon Fruits (such as the Gum Gum).

Questionable morals. Really the only difference between us and the Pirates we will be facing is that we have uniforms.
Of course, there's still room for more 'traditional' Marines in the crew.

Q:Hey Hillan-Sensei! The Setting? Does this take place during the series? And what will we be playing, exactly?
A:Heh, well, yes and no! This is AU, Alternate Universe, some details will be the same, but many will not, so be ready for a lot of twists and turns! For the second half of your question; we will be playing Marines of the G5 base, under the command of a Vice-Adrmiral. The plan is to do something in the vein of Inglorious Basterds. "Our business is hunting pirates, and business is good."

Q: But can I endulge in my power-fantasy of having a Logia and all three forms of Haki?!
A: Probably not! None of us are expected to be able to stand up to an Emperor or their closest men, but it is the New World, so I am expecting a fair amount of crazy stuff to go down.

Q: Can I play X race?
A: Sure you can! Fishmen, Minks, Skylanders, maybe even a Dwarf or a Giant!

His father, Kaiba Senju was one of the Senju clan's leaders, he was also one of Konoha's commanding jounin during the war with the Hidden Mist, his mother, Siri Tsun, was the youngest member of the Mizukage's advisors, and as such the two met on the battlefield several times, clashing armies - and blades.
It was not till a battle on one of the small islands in the land of Waves, where the two got separated from their armies, both leading individual small squads - fighting a stalemate, the two of them the only survivors. The details of how it came to be are still unclear, but the two had a shortlived romance, Kaiba was already married, and Siri had no interest in a family.

After their fling, they would clash again, Kirigakure advancing on Konoha's borders. Siri had been told she was pregnant - twins. And the right thing to do was to share this information with her once-lover. She and Kaiba engaged in combat, splitting off from the rest of the battlefield, where Siri had him dead to rights, her blade against his throat, the Senju defeated and at the mercy of the soon to be mother of his children.

Feeling the kicking of the two baby boys in her stomach, a warmth came over her, and for the first time in her life, she spared a foe. She let Kaiba escape, and a few months later, they would meet again, and during the battle - Siri fighting other Konoha ninja, her water broke. Kaiba immediately aided her on the secluded battlefield, throwing away his honor in an attempt to save the lives of his children. Fighting his own kin - and she did the same, fighting off Kiri shinobi that would not listen to their orders to stand back. An idiotic action taken by two fools, they ran away from the battlefield and Siri gave birth to the two boys. Tamashi and Hara. Tamashi had been born with his father's pale skin and his mother's bright blue eyes, Hara however was not so lucky.

The recently born family was interrupted by hunter nins from both nations, four in total, two from either nation, calling for their arrest. And once they found out about the situation, they could not let the family live - for fear of either of their secrets being spilled to the other side. Kaiba fought the four ninja with all his might, Siri tried to help him but was told to escape with the children, far away. As she left, Kaiba handed her his sword - a family heirloom of the Senju clan. she saw Kaiba take his last breath before being impaled by a sword from a Mist Ninja. Tears in her eyes, the screams of Tamashi in her arms.

She kept moving for close to an hour, making sure to lose the hunting nin - at least for the time being. She arrived in a small fishing village, on the outskirts of the land of rain. Her complications during childbirth had lead to her taking several glancing blows while escaping, and she would soon join Kaiba in death. Before she did, she left the two boys - Hara looking paler than Tamashi, but Siri knew they were both strong boys, in a small raft made from her flack jacket, a few planks and kunais like railings to make sure the children would not fall out into the stream as she set them off into the water with some well wishes.

Hara and Tamashi coasted down the stream, till a fisherman found the makeshift raft, and took it in, finding the pale skinned boy with the blue eyes crying. His brother's fate was however as tragic as their parents.

Having buried the younger Tsun brother - the last name found on the flack jacket they were rolled into was the last name given to the blue eyed boy.

After his tragic birth, Tamashi grew up unaware of his fathers, or mother's sacrifice, or the fact that he was supposed to be a twin brother. He wanted to become a fisher, like everyone else in the village - the village where everyone took care of him, and were like his family. Till he was 9 years old, and the village was attacked by bandits from the mountains, thugs who had been extorting the village for months, they had finally had enough with the poor tribute of the village, and exterminated the population, killing men, women and children alike. Tamashi survived, holding his father's sword in his hand, gripping tightly to his chest, hiding under the floorboards.

The attack was broken up by a squad of a jounin and three genin, from Amegakure, whom made short work of the bandits, getting justice for the civilians they had hurt. They took in Tamashi, plus the handful of other civilians, back to Amegakure. As Tamashi carried a sword, and when they tried to take it away from him, he cut one of the chunnin of the village with it out of instinct, they figured he'd make a decent body to put on the battlefield. Another Orphan for the Amegakure warmachine who would never achieve much, as was Tamashi's fate.

Being of the Senju clan, Tamashi's part of one of the most renowed clans in all of the land of fire - perhaps the entire world. Their rivalry with the Uchiha is legendary, and so is their power, remaining a host upon themselves long after there were hidden villages. The Senju clan has no Kekkei Genkai, but a member of the senju clan does display extraordinary strong life force and seems to often be capable of picking up many different sets of skills.

The Tsun clan are a small clan of excellent shinobi, known for their quick thinking, sneaky tactics and skills as assassins. Their skin is dark, but their eyes have an icey blue color to them in most cases. They have a few Hidens, but no Kekkei Genkais, but it is noted that they have a natural potential for genjutsu.

Close to Mid Range Tamashi uses his sword and sword enchanting techniques as often as possible, relying on his Ying-Yang technique as best as he can, he is more of a swordsman than a jutsu specialist, he's relying on his physical prowess over his skills at casting offensive ninjutsu, focusing rather on utility and defensive techniques. Perhaps the one trait that puts him apart from most of his peers is his use of Yin / Yang chakra, which is somewhat rare, although not unheard of at his age.

A more intense and substantial chakra flame is formed around his sword and his body taking on white and black particles, it triples the power of his Bushido Rest, while also allowing him even greater reach and cutting power, essentially a straight up power-up to his two other techniques - at the cost of a much larger chakra toll, making it a all-in move, as if it does not work, he will be out of chakra and unable to keep on fighting. Lasts for 8 seconds last time he tried to time it. The technique is still far from finished, and Tamashi feels like he has only barely scratched the surface of all the applications for his Yin / Yang chakra.

The sword he was found with had a scroll attached to it that read "Tamashi & Hara", Tamashi assumed that since his name was Tamashi, the sword was Hara, never knowing the true story of the name. It's his most priced posession and is a master crafted sword, fit for a leader of a nation. It carries the inscriptions "Hope is the dream of a better tomorrow” Which has become Tamashi's motto.

Correct. He does not know his clan's Hidens, even thoug he does know he's a Tsun, since his mother's clan ensign was on her flack jacket. And his sword would carry some kind of marking that would indicate his heritage as a Senju. But it isn't important to him.

And, ye, his ying / yang stuff don't do much yet. He'll develop more utility and buffs with it over raw power.
