Current putting yourself out there is scary, yes. but you rob yourself and others of those positive and welcoming interactions you might have. high risk, high reward. you've got this, friend.

Do we have to play two characters?

Woops. I should actually change that. One character per person. Sorry!

It was May 1st and Elizabeth had only just arrived at the estate days before. She'd left school early with the school's blessing (after all her grades were good enough she didn't really need to attend the last... rather boring days of school). It was early morning and Elizabeth was still snoozing in her bed. If it weren't for the years spent with her grandparents, Elizabeth probably would have been a night owl, but as it stands, her plants needed tending and her body wouldn't let her sleep much longer. The clock hit 6 am and Elizabeth rolled over in bed like clockwork, now facing the window. One of the maids, her personal favorite, was opening the blinds for her as she woke.

"Morning, Mary." Elizabeth greeted her sleepily as she pushed herself upright onto the bed.

"Good morning, ma'am. Shall I bring in your breakfast?" Mary responded, already heading towards the door to do so.

"Nah." Elizabeth began, pausing to stretch her arms upwards, "I'll head down to the kitchen myself and then go tend to my garden. Where's Alfred?" She asked, getting up now to get dressed.

"I think he's already there pulling weeds, ma'am." Mary replied, standing at the door, waiting to be dismissed now.

"Darn it! I told him to wait for me! You go ahead, I'll get dressed real quick and be down before you can say, 'Breakfast's ready!'" Elizabeth shouted, grinning.

"But-" Mary began, having already almost said those exact words... or at least implied them but she thought better of it. "Yes ma'am. I'll be there when you arrive." She finished before leaving the room. As soon as she was gone, Elizabeth raced for her closet and nearly ripped her night gown trying to take it off.

A few minutes later and she was in a woren pale green t-shirt, well-fitted grass stained jeans, and boots. She brushed her hair quickly and pulled it into a tight pony tail before racing down the halls, down the stairs, and into the kitchen where Mary was waiting with a plate of toast and a glass of OJ. Elizabeth grinned at the short haired, brunette and grabbed the plate quickly.

"Thanks Mary!" She called out as she ran out the back door and towards the garden, skirting past the pool, her OJ sloshing around with a piece of toast hanging from her mouth.

As she rounded the corner into the garden, Alfred straightened from his bent position over the flowers to greet her, "Good morning, young miss. You know... the plants aren't going anywhere."

"I know Althed, buth Gwanmpa..." She swallowed what was in her mouth before continuing, "Grandpa always said that the plants'll feel neglected if you make them wait too long!" She told him, cheerfully.

"Even so, young miss, you'll get a stomach ache if you eat too quickly." Alfred warned her before returning to his work.

"Oh, alright. I'll sit over here and finish eating. How are they looking today?" She asked while she climbed up the fence and sat down with her food.

"Just fine, ma'am. I think the squash are coming in very nicely." He responded, still bent over working. Alfred was getting pretty old, but he still worked in the garden with her every morning. He felt... sort of like a father figure to her now. He hadn't been working for the family for very long but... definitely long enough for Elizabeth to grow attached to him. Although that didn't take much for the extroverted teen.

"Have you checked on the bug problem with the tomatoes?" She asked.

"Not yet, I was working my way towards that." He responded, finally straighten up again to look at her. "If you're done eating, why don't you go get the pest control solution and spray them down."

"Alright." Elizabeth replied, hoping down and placing the plate and glass on a nearby post. She'd just have to remember to grab them on the way back up to the house.

A few hours later, Elizabeth was back in the house, nursing a bottle of water while sitting in front of the TV. Her friends were due to arrive any minute. She'd told them to arrive anytime after 11 and those who arrived before 2 would be provided lunch at the estate.

It's summer and you and your friends are ready to relax and play some games at the Sumpter Estate, a summer home owned by one of the groups more wealthy members. Elizabeth Sumpter has invited all of the group to the estate for the entire 100 days of summer before college or real life begins. Many of the group are splitting up so this get together will be the last hoorah before the group splits for their own paths in life.

The home itself sits on the coast of North Carolina in a small city called Elizabeth City (Not named for Elizabeth Sumpter). It sits on open country side with the Pasquotank River (Called Passie River by the group) nearby.

It's day one and Elizabeth waits for her friends to arrive!

Above is the Sumpter Summer Estate, owned an operated by the Sumpter family. The only adults in the entire estate for the summer will be the maids and cooks, with the head of the house being Madam Kleine, an old woman who seems to be rather chill for her position.

On the first floor is the lobby plus a lounge area, the dining hall, and a kitchen. Below, in the basement, is the cellar as well as the housing for the help (some of them live here, others live in small houses around the estate). On the second floor are all of the rooms, an assortment of different guest rooms. On the left side of the house (left as pictured) are two rooms for pairs to live and on the right is the greenhouse room where a plethora of plants are kept.

At the back of the house is a pool with slide and diving board, as well as ladders. Around the pool are an assortment of outdoor, poolside seating with a blue stone fire-pit in the center.

Beyond the pool is the estate's larger garden where tomatoes, corn, squash, green beans, peas, and apples are grown.

Hello and Welcome to 100 Days of Summer!

This RP is meant to be a light-hearted, summer time RP centered around the events and actions of a group of friends who have all just graduated high school.

I expect:
1-2 posts a day
1-2 Paragraphs a post
and quality grammar

1) Don't be an ass.
2) Guild rools apply.
3) 1 character per player.
4) GM and co-GM reserve the right to change rules as seen fit.
5) Don't sass a GM or co-GM. Seriously.
6) These are mostly for insurance, yanno?
7) If you don't post in a timely manner, you will be left behind. The GM reserves the right to skip over players and move characters if deemed necessary. (Mostly just in case someone's character is getting a group stuck, I'll... unstick them by moving the character elsewhere.)
8) Have fun!

If I don't get distracted by Forza, I'll be working on a thread in the next few minutes.

Thanks for all the interest and I apologize for the shortness of this response. I loath typing on my phone.
-visits for a casual wave- Hi -poof-

...Hi. I'm Roze.

So... Why I'm here.......

I really want a low-key, warmhearted slice of life RP for the summer. I'll try to put down some of my expectations below...

Small Southern Town
5-7 Characters (Some of whom have been friends for years)
Characters will live in one of the character's family summer home (large enough to house them all)
Summer Time
1-2 posts a day
1-2 Paragraphs a post

Now what I don't have down is a basic plot. For the RP to move forward, I feel that we need at least something for the group to struggle with. I have some basic ideas, but that's all they are right now.

- Character gets abducted and the group must try to save him/her because the police are taking too long and they fear he/she may already be in serious trouble.

- Character who's family owns the estate is suddenly in a bit of financial troubles and the group needs to find a way to save it from being taken away from them.

- Other small plots:
Dog goes missing, group must try to find it on the estate.
Weird couple arrives needing a place to stay for the night, the group finds that they are thieves that pray on summer homes out in the middle of nowhere. They must find a way to get rid of these intruders who the mother of the character who owns the place finds to be trustworthy.
Pair of characters goes missing on the estate, group must try to find them.
Etc, etc.

Essentially, it would be a small RP about a group of friends who deal with events as they come over the summer. All the characters would need to be around 18 or 19 as I'd like them to be rising freshmen in college (or the work force should they choose that).

What say you, RPG?

@Hjalti Looks neat! It would make me sick though. I'm very particular with games as in recent years I've started to get sick watching and playing them very easily. I can't usually watch or play first person shooters but I've been playing Destiny lately so... I dunno. Lol.
It's hit or miss, I guess.

I'm actually about to see if I can kick my dad off the TV so I can play some Assassin's Creed for a bit.
