She was running. That's all she knew in that moment. One moment, she was having a nice relaxing bath, the next she was running through the woods butt naked, wondering how the hell she got there. Had she been drugged? Was the rest of her family okay? Where was she running to? She stopped after a few minutes of running, her mind racing with what to do. She hadn't seen a single damn building out here. Her next thought went to who would do this? Why would they do this? And where the hell were they now.
She continued walking, her feet cut by the forest floor and raw by now. Every step was painful, every step was starting to feel like her last. She wasn't built for this, for survival out in the woods with nothing but her birthday suit to protect her. She was going to die out here. As the thought hit her, she stopped, dead in her tracks and plopped down onto her knees to cry, sobbing after a moment.
Her tears pulled the attention of a man, just within earshot, who.. at first thought she might be some ghost. But against his better nature, walked closer to investigate. He hadn't planned on veering off course today, his mother would have surely punished him but he couldn't help his curiosity. It wasn't every day that the prince of his fair kingdom got the chance to explore out on his own like this, nevermind the fact that he'd slipped out unawares...
He approached the sound, still fully convinced he was going to be attacked by some foul witch or ghost trying to coax him closer, when he spotted her. She was hunched over in the grass and... completely naked?! He blinked, not really fully believing his eyes. But he couldn't stop his feet from getting closer from, trying to help her.
"..Miss? Are you okay?"
A fearsome king and loyal lover, Cuprite stands tall as the Leader of the Wildshape. For all it's inhabitants that come from every walk of life, every corner of the world, he fights to protect and improve their lives. He is not a dragon to take his work and role lightly and expects as much from his future offspring.
His best friend growing up was a dragon called Ambrose, a very energetic Pearlcatcher dragon. It was mostly unknown to him the animosity between the two breeds, but it became very apparent when he told his parents about his new friend, only be told to stop spending time with him. That only made the young dragon want to see his friend more. He needed to know what was so bad about his breed that his parents would openly demand he stop seeing him. Ambrose also had no idea as to why the two breeds had such disdain for each other.
"Why would anyone hate a Pearlcatcher? I think your pearls are really cool." Cuprite told his friend one day, huffing a bit at the idea of being mean just because of his breed. "Why wouldn't I think they're cool?"
"I'm not sure, honestly. I don't get why so many of my kind don't like yours. I asked my aunt and she said it's jealousy." Ambrose returned, shoulders shrugging apathetically.
"Well... I'm not jealous of any of the pearlcatchers! I think it's stupid to think like that." Cuprite huffed indignantly.
"And I'm not jealous of you. I can't really even think of a reason why I would be, you know?" Ambrose returned. "But... what can we do about other people? Not much."
"Well, when I'm older, I'm going to make my own clan where things like that don't matter. Where everyone is treated equally. I can't change everyone's way of thinking, but if you and I can think like this, the surely others can!" Cuprite huffed, sure of himself as he puffed his chest out. Nevermind the fact that he had no idea what it would take to lead a clan himself.
"That sounds nice... but I wonder if it's possible..." Ambrose sighed.
"Of course it is! Anything is possible if you put your mind to it."
Despite Cuprite's reassurances, he wasn't able to convince his friend to join him when he left their clan. The only person willing to join him was his sister, Raira. She was more than willing to leave, more out of a desire to be free from her parents than anything. Ambrose not joining him, didn't deter the young dragon. As soon as he was old enough to really grow into his wings, he approached his father and let him know of his intentions. As expected, the older dragon was none to happy to hear this, but respected his son's wishes. His mother, however, was less than happy and made several attempts over the course of Cuprite's preparations to leave to stop him and his sister.
Unable to sway Cuprite or Raira to stay, the two left and set off to find a space for their clan. They settled on the branches of the Behemoth, who branches held the Gladebough Village. Cuprite and his sister met their respective mates here among the other clans and convinced them to join them. Since then, they have welcomed dragons into their growing community. Cuprite rules their clan as "King" with a firm hand and a gentle voice. He allows dragons to enter freely and leave freely.
Dragons do have to be approved by his now trusted Advisors, a pair of Wildclaw dragons that had more than proven their worth protecting Cuprite and his family in the underbrush below the Behemoth. Amore and Aconite became a part of the Advisory Council that helped approve the acceptance of new dragons into their clan by helping them find a job/role within the community. Amore takes a larger role in helping to train old and new adult dragons to defend themselves along with his mate, Aconite.
Raira and her husband, Bercilak also help in guiding the community on the Advisory Council. Raira spends her time with her husband answering the questions of the clan in her brother's place so that Cuprite may spend his days working with other clan's leaders to build diplomatic influence for their clan and create healthy relationships with their neighbors.
One day, while taking a stroll through the forest with his mate, Cuprite noticed a small tuft of bright green fur poking out from the bush. It wiggled a bit as he approached. He called out softly, "Hello?"
His mate, Eden, perked her head up, now seeing the odd looking hair as well. And just as soon as she took a step to get closer, it seemed to pop out at her. She was about to lift a paw to claw at it in defense, when Cuprite lifted a paw to stop her.
The bright green tuft of hair had gotten herself stuck in a mess of tangled sticks and bramble. Her big bright pinks looked up at him and they swirled with an intense arcane energy. All he could think of was that it must have been painful, having so much magical energy in such a small body. Leaning down, Cuprite, gave the small deer looking creature a cursory sniff before moving to help her out of the brambles.
She huffed and stomped her hooves in protest, even though she knew deep down he was only trying to help her. Once freed, however, she pranced around him in glee, bounding cheerfully.
"That feels better, hm?" He chuckled, watching her until it made him feel dizzy. She paused for a moment, those big pink eyes watching him before she took a few steps closer to him, tentatively. Taking it as an invitation, Cuprite, bent his head down to her, to be a bit more on her level. At this, she slowly pressed forward until their noses touched.
Pink sparks seemed to literally fly in the space between their snouts, and Cuprite felt something shoot down his spine. His heart felt warm and suddenly he could her a voice...
"Hello? Hello? Can you hear me?"
The voice was soft, gentle and sounded very much like a young hatchling might.
"Yes... I can hear you..."
"Oh! Oh! Joy! That brings me so much joy! I think I would have been in those brambles forever if you hadn't come along." She chuckled, seeming to grin to herself. Her blue fur seemed to shimmer even more in the light of the sun as she stepped into a patch of sunlight.
"And you are...?" He asked, chuckling again.
"Hm? Me? I.. To be honest, I'm not sure what I am! I just.. woke up and started wandering around. And then I got stuck.. and then I met you!"
"My love... Just who exactly are you talking to?" Eden asked, a worried expression turning on her face as she watched him.
"Hm? You can't hear her?" He asked, confused.
"Oh, only you can! I'm your spirideer now!" She started, blinking for a moment. "Oh... I guess that just came to me... weird... But anyway, I bonded to you! Well, our hearts did." She explained, making a quick spin as sparkles of magic floated around her.
"My... Spirideer?" Cuprite started, blinking a bit. He hadn't expected a new companion today, much less one that bonded to him... But, here he was.
Raira had always been a free spirit. From the moment she was born, she had been contrary to her parents. It wasn't as if she lived to disagree with them, but she certainly had a mind of her own and nothing anyone said could dissuade her from doing what she wanted to do. Stubborn to a fault. The last thing Raira ever wanted was to be in charge of an entire clan but despite that, when given the opportunity to leave her little Lightning Clan to explore the greater world with her brother, she took it. Though, she hadn't anticipated he'd settle them down so quickly...
She still hasn't really forgiven him for that and regularly leaves the community to explore on her own. If asked, she'd explain that there was something inside of her, something that vibrated with an intensity she couldn't explain and the only solution was to fly free and explore at her own pace.
Raira didn't have many friends growing up, but the one she had was the truest friend she'd ever had. Pache, a male Fae dragon who despite being hard for her to understand, had become her closest friend and confidant. She could tell him anything and he would always listen with eyes that seemed to always understand her feelings. She'd often sneak him into her nest to hang out with her, since he was small enough to hide in her wings. The only person who knew about Pache was her brother Cuprite, who despite not understanding how she could understand or communicate with Pache respected her relationship with him.
Raira remembers a humorous moment when Pache and Cuprite misunderstood each other.
"...What? Why are you doing that?" Cuprite asked, his eyes narrowing as he watched the small white Fae dragon flutter around him, bouncing up and down from the ground wildly, his head frills moving and undulating.
"Raira!" The smaller dragon called, his voice high-pitched but utterly monotone.
"What about her?" Cuprite asked again.
"Birth! Birth!" Pache cried out, still trilling frantically.
"What?!" He asked, blinking. "Are you trying to say Raira has laid eggs? That's not even possible! She's too young!" He started, now frantic. "Oh god, how would we explain this to mother? Should we tell her? Do we have to?" Cuprite mumbled to himself, mind churning.
Pache visibly deflated a bit before starting back up again. By the time Pache spoke again, Cuprite was already running to find Raira. "Birth day! Birth dayyyy!" He cried out after the larger dragon.
Cuprite had found Raira by that point and a rather humorous exchange took place in which her brother, face impossibly red, tried to ask her if she had laid any eggs recently. Which had, in fact, prompted a rather red face from her as well. They had a rather long conversation about trying to learn how to properly read Pache's frills but that certainly wasn't the only time Cuprite and Pache had misunderstood each other.
When Raira arrived at the Gladebough Village, she met an incredibly handsome and sweet Imperial Dragon whom she fell instantly in love with. She spent the first few months they were in the village, following him around, trying to impress him with both her physical prowess and intelligence. He didn't seem interested at all at first. He often scoffed silently and turned his nose up at her, walking away. But after months of trying and trying, Raira was a few steps away from giving up on him completely when he actually responded to her.
"Bercilak! I found a pretty stone while hunting near the river that I wanted to show you." Raira called out, grinning as she dropped the stone at his table, where he was reading a scroll on the history of fighting tactics used by Ice dragons. She half expected him to completely ignore her and was ready after waiting a moment to pick the stone back up and turn away.
She watched him look up from his scroll, however, head raising just slightly as he looked at the stone. "It is.. very pretty.." He mumbled, glancing her away for the briefest of moments before looking back at his book.
From then on, Raira never left Bercilak alone and it seemed as though the younger dragon didn't mind. The true turning point in their relationship, however, came on a hunt Bercilak had accompanied Raira, her brother, and her brother's mate, Eden. The four were prowling the groves below the village. Eden and Cuprite split off, Raira assumed to go have some alone time. The thought alone made her incredibly jealous and she stuck her tongue out after her brother before continuing on. As she walked, however, she heard the roar of a dire claw.
It swiped at her and she barely managed to dodge out of the way. It felt as if everything moved in slow motion. The leaves in the trees seemed to still as she watched Bercilak leap out in front of her, fighting with the bear. He was severely wounded, but the young dragon did manage to hold his ground against the bear long enough for it to tire of them and run off. Worried, Raira raced to his side.
"Bercy, are you okay? Oh my goodness... Oh no... What am I going to do.." She cried out, tears streaming down her face. In her mind, his wounds had to be fatal, she just knew it.
"Calm down, little one..." He replied, his voice soft and even toned. It sounded as if he wasn't even hurt. Which, Raira had to admit had bolstered her mood considerably. Tears still streamed down her face but now, she felt like he would be okay, that it would be okay.
"Let me go get Cuprite!" She called out, starting to get up. She was stopped by Bercilak, who had grabbed her leg and pulled her back.
"Stay... He'll come back to check on us and I don't want you to be alone out there..." He grumbled, voice deep and now tinged with obvious pain. Raira could feel her heart breaking for him but she stayed with him, doing what she could. Cuprite did eventually find them and rush to help his sister get Bercilak back to the village for healing.
Since that moment, a sort of unspoken bond formed between Raira and Bercilak and they became mates despite never asking one another. Because of this incident, Raira spends a lot of her time researching healing salves and healing magic so that she never has to feel that helpless again.
Eliza, with a somber expression on her face, pulled at the black ribbon tied around her hair, securing it in place. She wasn't one for wearing make-up, but if she were, she probably wouldn't wear much of it today. Everyone on the island loved Marcus, and she was no exception. She only had good memories of playing in his fields, picking flowers, laying with the animals, watching the sky. Picnics with her parents... That farm was as much a part of her home as any home she stayed in and Marcus had always been a part of that. It just felt... weird with him gone. And she knew it was affecting her father as well. He looked even more tired than usual today and she could smell the scent of alcohol on him. He was taking this harder than she was, much harder. For him, it was just a reminder of all he'd lost already.
A stronger man would have had his resolve strengthened, determination setting in to keep what he had left safe, but Christopher could not claim to be such a man. He was tired and it was evident on his face as he walked down the stairs of their home. As they left, Eliza made a quick u-turn and grabbed a sucker from the candy jar down stairs and was back outside to walk to the church with her father.
A few minutes later, they were nearing the church. Eliza had the sucker tucked away in a pocket fold of her black dress which hung loosely off of her hips to her ankles, hitting lightly against her brown boots, muddied from the rain and dirt. The two followed along behind the crowd, Eliza slipping in behind the twins. As she passed by David, she passed him the sucker without a word and walked on to find herself a seat, which she took next to Sophie, who smiled sheepishly at her.
Realizing she'd lost her father, Eliza turned her body to look around the church to find him, noticing that even Maggie stood at the back of the church, her head hung low, her body tucked in as if to say "Please, stay away from me." After a few moments of looking, Eliza spotted her father talking to Allen, probably just small talk. Satisfied, she turned back to Sophie.
"Mornin'." She greeted her, her voice low, sad.
"Good morning, Eliza." Sophie responded in kind. Both Sophie and Eliza could sympathize with David, and pretty much anyone on the island. There were very few people that hadn't lost someone recently and the weather wasn't doing anything to lighten the villagers' moods.
"Is he sleeping, Daddy?" Ryuu could be heard asking as the two passed by the coffin, causing a panicking Gook to hush him and push him along. Eliza smiled at the sight. How lovely it would be to have a child's innocence once again...
Don't let the name fool you. I don't have a lot of this ironed out, just wanted a catchy title to pull people in. :P
Before I get into talking about basic ideas, I want to explain just a bit about me.
Hi. I'm Rose. I'm a senior college education major currently teaching full time while doing edTPA. I'm on break this week and will need another 1x1 to use as a small break while writing and planning. So... there's that.
I also do some mature themes, but I prefer fade-to-black. Basically, try to keep it PG-13. Cussing, evil villians, and violence are fine. Just as long as they don't go overboard.
I also generally don't like characters that have terrible out looks of life due to literally the worst childhood you could possibly imagine. It's Harvest Moon. No one's life sucks in HM too badly. Yanno?
So, my basic idea for "Celestial Paradise" is that the over-arching plot is about saving the Harvest Goddess's twin sister, the Moon Goddess. (Yes, I'm fully aware that the Harvest Goddess is more than likely closely tied to the moon, but roll with me here.) The basic idea would be to gain entry to the Paradise Land. Not sure how we plan for our character to do so, but it's a thought.
I would want to play as an OC, but you're more than welcome to take up a canon character. I am also not opposed to homosexual relationships or no romance at all. So play the character you WANT to play. I will, so why shouldn't you?
Some basic things I want from this RP are;
- Cutesy relationships, be they romantic or platonic - Simple drama such a major storms, drama between NPC characters such as divorce, cheating, pregnancy, etc. - Major drama such as possible death of the Moon Goddess. - Possible battle to save the Moon Goddess? - Other slice of life things such as jobs, growing up, and play.
Not sure what, if anything, will come of this but I've been playing Tree of Tranquility and well.. now I'm itching to write about it. Let me know. ~
It was nearing the end of the celebration and Chokan was smiling and laughing with a young woman from another kingdom who had come to visit him. As a bachelor, he had many unwed princesses pinning for his proposal. Cho sat nearby, her head low, staring at the floor.
Have we really sunk so low? Cho thought sourly as she brought her head up and looked around the room. Just an hour ago, she'd been brought out and pushed into the middle of the room where the Emperor waited with a smile on his face. He'd introduced her with a smile to those in the hall and then...
She shivered at the thought of his hand at the low of her back pushing her towards the balcony. With a loud booming voice, he announced to those citizens waiting outside of his capture of the Butterfly Princess. The crowd roared back in applause. She could still hear the sounds of the people chanting his title.
She swallowed as she watched the people danced and turned to look up at Chokan who currently had more than 5 princess surrounding him all dressed to kill. A quick sigh escaped her lips as she rolled her eyes.
"My, My... Such a sigh from one as beautiful as you? You'll age yourself by 10 years!" He shouted, a grin on his face as he looked past the girls before him at Cho.
"You and I know very well that I do not age, Chokan." She returned, her words holding a certain bite to them. He let out a small chuckle before motioning with his hand for several maids to come to him. They came quietly, afterall, they'd long since had their tongues cut out, not that it was Chokan's doing.
"Please take our lovely Princess to her room. It seems the celebrations bore her. Perhaps some isolation will cure her of that." He told them and turned his head back to the women in front of him with a smile.
Cho sighed once again and rolled her eyes as she raised herself from the floor herself, shooing the hands of the maids away. With her head held high and her hands placed delicately at her front waist, she walked on, motioning for the girls to take lead, and they did. She stared on despite the glances given to her, both the jealous ones from the females and some males and the lewd ones from the men and women that fancied her type. Still, her dress, unlike the other women, was not as promiscuous. In fact, it was what she'd been wearing when he found her and the dress itself identified who she was. It was laid with magic from the spirits and protected her in most cases though it had failed her in her attempt to escape the Emperor. It just showed how arrogant she had become. She'd let herself get too close because of her many years of successful evasion.
She reached the room with more speed than she'd meant and the maids bowed as the door was opened for her to enter. A nasty look grew on her face as she looked at the room. It had open windows that showed the other side of the palace and the mountain in the distance. It reminded her of a birdcage and only managed to fans the flames of her anger. She sighed and stepped inside, having realized her own situation. This... wasn't bad. She was okay. She shouldn't let her temper get the better of her again. This was probably that person's test for her. She chuckled as the maids closed the door and left. She walked over to the seat by the window and sat down to stare out at the evening sky. It was still a beautiful purple as the sun was finishing it's decent.
Yes, it was definitely a test from that person. She needed to stay calm and focus on her work. There was probably plenty she could do from the palace. Plenty power she held here... She sighed again. This wouldn't be easy. She needed to gain his confidence and stay by his side. She needed to be able to work for the palace and heal as many people as she could manage. That was the easiest way...
"Give me strength, my love." She spoke, her voice barely a whisper as she looked up at the stars as they slowly appeared in the night sky.
"It's almost hard to believe I've lived this long..."
The Butterfly Princess, also known as 'Cho'
Ageless
It is said that long ago, a young maiden was born in a poor village. There, she grew up among poverty and the ill. However, it is told that she was a kind soul and found her happiness there where she could. Her family was a normal one, trying their best to get by where they could.
There in that village, the maiden met a young man by the name of Ryugan and he slowly become her lover as they grew older. However, life was not as simple as the maiden would have liked. The village was suddenly being taxed by the emperor, far more than it could bare to give up. The maiden was upset but did not condone violence, and so, she spoke with the soldier that came to take the tax. She tried her best to convince them but it was all in vain, they would only listen to their emperor and their orders were absolute. They hit the poor maiden and sent her back, hoping the scare would be enough to keep her away from them.
However, it only managed to anger Ryugan, her now husband. He formed a group with the young men and some women of the village and planned an attack on the soldiers that came. They were successful but... all was not fine. Not only was the maiden upset with him, when the soldiers returned, they returned with the general, a powerful man who took Ryugan away from the maiden and took him to the palace to be executed.
Distraught, the maiden packed her things and made way for the palace, nothing on her mind except for her precious loved one. However, her horse was not as fast and as she reached the steps to the palace, it had begun. There stood before her, her love, Ryugan. He was staring lifelessly out at he crowd forming but his eyes lit up as he saw her.
Time slowed as the maiden screamed, running up to her husband. However, as she did, the candle had died and the blade was lifted. Another shrill scream came as it all ended. She cried over the body of her dead husband, his face looking so peaceful. The guards tried to take her away and... as the story goes... she turned around with a rage in her eyes and clawed out the eyes of the first guard to touch her.
Gone was her notion of violence being bad, gone was the sweet maiden they had known before. All that was left, was a shell of the woman she'd left behind. The maiden was broken, her heart shattered. She attacked anyone who came near her. It wasn't until the general approached that she even spoke a word.
"You..." She breathed and then charged at him. To say it was unfair would be an understatement as the general quickly restrained her. The general not one to kill women, made pretense with the people before him and claimed he would kill the wench in his own bedchamber after taking her for himself.
These words broke her further as she fell limp against him, her will completely gone from her. The general's biggest mistake was what he'd done that night. He was kind to the maiden and eventually let her go once things had died down. Not even his niceties would warm her cold heart. She wandered the land, gathering warriors for her cause. She was very charismatic and with this group she attacked many regimes of soldiers, killing innocents in the crossfire.
Eventually, her group grew to the size of an army that she herself led. Clad in shining armor, she and her army comprised of hand picked men made way for the palace. She would have her revenge on this emperor and his men. Blind in her war path, the maiden killed all who stood in her way and finally found herself once again at the steps of the palace, staring at the general who stood before her.
At once and without warning, she rushed at him and the battle commenced. This time, she was an equal match for him and they fought for ages before the general finally consented defeat and laid down his sword. Satisfied, the maiden walked the steps of the palace and smiled as she saw the man before her. The emperor.
However, she did not see him for long as she felt the stinging feel of a sword through her back. The general had lied and now his sword sat inside of her stomach.
That day, the maiden died and as she did, the emperor looked down at her with piercing gray eyes. She slowly drifted... to where, she didn't know. But soon, she came to a meadow where Ryugan sat, smiling at her. However, as she approached, his smile faded and she looked down to see herself covered in blood. He smiled turned to tears as he watched her.
"My love... what have you become? I'm so sorry..."
His voice was soft and trembling as he lifted a hand to touch her. She jumped away as he came close, realizing exactly what she had become. She could feel her body being pulled away from him by the hands of the people she had killed. She could feel the darkness wrapping around her, pulling her in.
And then... a light pierced it's way in the form of a single blue butterfly. It flittered down and the darkness crept away. It's light was utterly blinding to the maiden.
"Hello. It seems you have been lost on your path, little one..." It spoke to her, or so the story goes. The lone butterfly offered the maiden a choice. She could spend eternity in darkness, or she could come back to earth as a goddess and spend her entire life making up for her actions. If she saved enough people, she might be able to come back and be with Ryugan again.
The maiden, not having much of a choice, took the entity up on their offer and thus the legend of the Butterfly Princess was born. Now named Cho, she has long forgotten her real name. The only memory she keeps with her now, is the smiling face of her loved one in the meadow. Since then, she has been chased by generations of emperors who no longer know the reason why they chase her, what chaos she had inflicted upon them in her life.
"Cho... you will be mine."
Chokan Shi Lan (Forgive me for making up BS names. Especially if they sound silly.)(I'm pretty sure Fao Shang is from Mulan too. Lel.)
26 y/o
Chokan, as the child of a widowed bride, finds himself often fighting for the things he wants. Though, he never really condoned his mother's actions, he never tried to stop them. He watched as she wormed her way into the high court and eventually at the Emperor's side as his bride.
Li Fang had many children with the Emperor, most of them sisters for Chokan but a few of them were born brothers. Li Fang, not wanting those children to become the Emperor so that she could keep her power, knew that she still had to have children for her son-less husband. If she hadn't it would have been bad for both her and Chokan.
Having spent a good deal of her time with herbs while with her new husband, Li Fang had discovered she had a natural talent with poisons and over the years made both herself and her son, Chokan, immune to them by having them eat them constantly.
It was the day of Chokan's brother, Kouran, to ascend the throne as their father had just passed and was the time for Li Fang to strike with the help of her son. That morning, Chokan brought to his brother a 'well-wishes' drink of sake, wanting to toast to the soon to be Emperor's success. Li Fang had spent the night changing the other brother's clothes and while Chokan did his part, she was dressing her sons in clothes lined with poison.
Before the ceremony was over, all that was left was Chokan and Li Fang. The advisers were shocked and did not know what to do. Li Fang, using her cunning, convinced them all to continue the ceremony with Chokan since he was the next rightful heir. After all, it would be a waste to stop now.
Chokan was crowned as the Emperor and his brothers were laid to rest. Later, he read in his step-father's diaries about a beautiful being that eluded the family for years. A smiled crept it's way onto his face. What a perfect way to show that his family was a much better choice for royalty.
Now, Chokan sits with the Butterfly Princess in his possession and his mother grinning gleefully at his side. The only problem... is his sister. Naoi Fao Shang. She claims to have seen their heinous deeds and plans to ruin Chokan and his mother. She swears that he will have no sons and that her own will become the true emperor. What will she do if he decides to attack her or her only son?

In this way, she is very dominating. She is a very powerful presence in a room, not unlike Mr. Hampton, however she demands and commands respect, unlike Mr. Hampton.
She's also fairly moody in that her emotions can change at the drop of a hat. One moment, she's elated that one of her students managed to defeat a rather difficult foe, and the next she's screaming at that same student to stop shuffling their feet. Lastly, Ms. Grimarth is extremely honorable. She only makes promises she can keep and always tries to tell the truth if possible. Her promises are her word and she never breaks them. Grim (Weapon/Major): Grim is Ms. Grimarth's weapon of choice. It is a long scythe, black and menacing to many. It is a fairly heavy weapon but Ms. Grimarth wields it as if it is as light as a rapier. Other than it's menacing color and shape, it is a regular weapon. The power lies with the person holding the weapon.
Now You See It (Attack/Minor): Ms. Grimarth created this attack when she was having a hard time penetrating the attack of a rather defensive foe. She throws her scythe high up in the sky, and bolts for her foe, dodging any attacks on the way there. It's a risky attck but if she can manage to get behind them, her scythe will fall back down in time for her to grab it and place it around their neck.
Rotomiller (Attack/Major): Ms. Grimarth's most powerful attack. She takes her scythe and begins rotating it around like a windmill. She can get it going so fast in such a way that a whirlwind is created, pulling her foe into the blade's trap. She only uses this attack if she honestly means harm.
Wait, I'm Not Ready.. (Attack/Minor): Ms. Grimarth uses this attack to stop her foes attacks from hitting her for a time. It's an offshoot of Rotomiller but it doesn't draw anything in. She mostly uses it as a shield while she thinks of what to do next.

He rather likes to wear rings and has an odd assortment of them, most of them with magical essences. Strengths: Nimble - Mr. Hampton can get around. Since he can't really take a beating, he's learned how not to get hit and doesn't often. He's a very nimble dodger, able to dodge and cast a spell within the same breath. Charismatic - Mr. Hampton is very good at getting people on his side. He can convince most anyone to do what he wants. He's even been called an incubus before by a student to which they were promptly scolded. Stamina - Though he can't take many hits, Mr. Hampton can fight for a long time without getting tired. His mana reserve is second to none and he could run for hours without tiring.
Weaknesses: Low Constitution - Mr. Hampton has spent many hours studying and learn to dodge and run around swiftly in an arena. His body is not built to take hits and he is aware of this. One good hit from a knight in the Order of Shield would send him to the infirmary for a good few days. Low Strength - Mr. Hampton prefers not to use weapons simply because he can't do much with any normal weapon. For one he can't lift half the swords found in the school's armory, even the practice ones. He's much more keen to pick up a dagger than a full sword.

He's very charismatic as well and can convince nearly anyone to do nearly anything. Well, except that he can't convince Mr. Parish to go on a date with him, which upsets him to no end even if he'd never admit it to anyone. Though, he's also very patient and willing to wait however long it might take for Mr. Parish to notice him. Habits: - Spinning any rings he may have on his fingers. - Spacing out.

Cooking (Expert): Tell him a dish, and he can make it for you. Secretly, Mr. Hampton is a major foodie.
Archery (Journeyman): He doesn't really like weapons, but he picked up archery because it was less annoying than the sword. He not terrible at it, but he would be better if he spent more time working on it.
Scrapbooking (Journeyman): Something he picked up as a side hobby, he doesn't do it much but many would be shocked to know he does it even at all.

Nox Arcanum (Power/Major): Nox Arcanum is a power Mr. Hampton had invented for himself. Its basis lies in a fire magic so strong, it is black and blue. The magic itself is so tied to Mr. Hampton that even if he were to set himself in the flame, it would not burn him. This fact alone is what garnered him the name "Black Phoenix".
Vizor (Power/Minor): This power was originally created by Mr. Hampton's mother. It is an illusion spell that grants the user a multitude of copies of themselves that can all do real damage to the opponent. When one is hit by any means, however, they disappear.
Moira's Charm (Artifact/Major): This ring, when worn, allows the wearer to charm any person they choose into submission. The ring has a cool down, so Alex can't use it very often, but he does use it when he wants to get his way. The only person he's never used it on is Richard Parish. He got it from his mother a long time ago.
Perfect Glasses (Artifact/Minor): Mr. Hampton got his glasses from an eye doctor years and years ago because he didn't want to have to keep buying new glasses each year. The glasses are self correcting and adjust to whomever wears them.

Childhood: Mr. Hampton doesn't speak often of his childhood, but most know that he didn't have a very good relationship with his father. Mr. Hampton wanted none of it and that often brought on beatings, his father hoping they would whip him into shape. Since then, Mr. Hampton has let anyone hit him. Adulthood: Mr. Hampton was not the top of his class, in fact he never even ranked when he was at the school, however the principal of the time saw in Mr. Hampton, the ability to lead and so sought him as the new leader for the school. Happy to take on the role and avoid his father, Mr. Hampton took on the challenge. Since becoming the principal of Saint Valerious, the school has become more prosperous than ever, it's students showing more and more progress than the last each year. Special Moments: - When he got the call that his father had passed away. - When he got the call, asking him to be the principal of the school after the late principal had passed away.
Current Events: Mr. Hampton is currently working on a research project on a new magic technique using bottles.
Just popping it to say that I am back at school and working on assignment that is due tomorrow. I am no longer sick so I may be able to get a post up tonight. Depends on my mood after this assignment. This work is pretty draining.
I will try to stay cognizant of my work load and try to get Sam out of interaction should I think I'll be gone longer than a few days. Thanks for being an understanding group of folks. :)
(I'm also like super itching to start writing a fic about this drama I watched a while back. Uuuugh. Mostly because the ending was unsatisfactory. Like really? It ends with her dying and coming back to the present world and he has to live out his days by himself. Wtf kind of ending is that?! So I may just start writing up my own little... sequel. >.>)

<br><br>She continued walking, her feet cut by the forest floor and raw by now. <br><br>Her tears pulled the attention of a man, just within earshot, who.. at first thought she might be some ghost. But against his better nature, walked closer to investigate. He hadn't planned on veering off course today, his mother would have surely punished him but he couldn't help his curiosity. It wasn't every day that the prince of his fair kingdom got the chance to explore out on his own like this, nevermind the fact that he'd slipped out unawares...<br><br>He approached the sound, still fully convinced he was going to be attacked by some foul witch or ghost trying to coax him closer, when he spotted her. She was hunched over in the grass and... completely naked?! He blinked, not really fully believing his eyes. But he couldn't stop his feet from getting closer from, trying to help her. <br><br>"..Miss? Are you okay?"</div></div><br><br><div class="hider-panel"><div class="hider-heading"><button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-xs hider-button" data-name="Dragon Lore (FlightRising)">Dragon Lore (FlightRising) [+]</button></div><div class="hider-body" style="display: none">A fearsome king and loyal lover, Cuprite stands tall as the Leader of the Wildshape. For all it's inhabitants that come from every walk of life, every corner of the world, he fights to protect and improve their lives. He is not a dragon to take his work and role lightly and expects as much from his future offspring.<br><br>His best friend growing up was a dragon called Ambrose, a very energetic Pearlcatcher dragon. Ambrose also had no idea as to why the two breeds had such disdain for each other.<br><br>"Why would anyone hate a Pearlcatcher? I think your pearls are really cool." Cuprite told his friend one day, huffing a bit at the idea of being mean just because of his breed. "Why wouldn't I think they're cool?"<br><br>"I'm not sure, honestly. I don't get why so many of my kind don't like yours. I asked my aunt and she said it's jealousy." Ambrose returned, shoulders shrugging apathetically.<br><br>"Well... I'm not jealous of any of the pearlcatchers! I think it's stupid to think like that." Cuprite huffed indignantly.<br><br>"And I'm not jealous of you. I can't really even think of a reason why I would be, you know?" Ambrose returned. "But... what can we do about other people? Not much."<br><br>"Well, when I'm older, I'm going to make my own clan where things like that don't matter. Where everyone is treated equally. I can't change everyone's way of thinking, but if you and I can think like this, the surely others can!" Cuprite huffed, sure of himself as he puffed his chest out. Nevermind the fact that he had no idea what it would take to lead a clan himself.<br><br>"That sounds nice... but I wonder if it's possible..." Ambrose sighed.<br><br>"Of course it is! Anything is possible if you put your mind to it."<br><br>Despite Cuprite's reassurances, he wasn't able to convince his friend to join him when he left their clan. His mother, however, was less than happy and made several attempts over the course of Cuprite's preparations to leave to stop him and his sister.<br><br>Unable to sway Cuprite or Raira to stay, the two left and set off to find a space for their clan. He allows dragons to enter freely and leave freely.<br><br>Dragons do have to be approved by his now trusted Advisors, a pair of Wildclaw dragons that had more than proven their worth protecting Cuprite and his family in the underbrush below the Behemoth. Amore and Aconite became a part of the Advisory Council that helped approve the acceptance of new dragons into their clan by helping them find a job/role within the community. Amore takes a larger role in helping to train old and new adult dragons to defend themselves along with his mate, Aconite.<br><br>Raira and her husband, Bercilak also help in guiding the community on the Advisory Council. Raira spends her time with her husband answering the questions of the clan in her brother's place so that Cuprite may spend his days working with other clan's leaders to build diplomatic influence for their clan and create healthy relationships with their neighbors.</div></div><br><br><div class="hider-panel"><div class="hider-heading"><button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-xs hider-button" data-name="More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising)">More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising) [+]</button></div><div class="hider-body" style="display: none">One day, while taking a stroll through the forest with his mate, Cuprite noticed a small tuft of bright green fur poking out from the bush. It wiggled a bit as he approached. He called out softly, "Hello?"<br><br>His mate, Eden, perked her head up, now seeing the odd looking hair as well. And just as soon as she took a step to get closer, it seemed to pop out at her. She was about to lift a paw to claw at it in defense, when Cuprite lifted a paw to stop her.<br><br>The bright green tuft of hair had gotten herself stuck in a mess of tangled sticks and bramble. Her big bright pinks looked up at him and they swirled with an intense arcane energy. All he could think of was that it must have been painful, having so much magical energy in such a small body. Leaning down, Cuprite, gave the small deer looking creature a cursory sniff before moving to help her out of the brambles.<br><br>She huffed and stomped her hooves in protest, even though she knew deep down he was only trying to help her. Once freed, however, she pranced around him in glee, bounding cheerfully.<br><br>"That feels better, hm?" He chuckled, watching her until it made him feel dizzy. She paused for a moment, those big pink eyes watching him before she took a few steps closer to him, tentatively. Taking it as an invitation, Cuprite, bent his head down to her, to be a bit more on her level. At this, she slowly pressed forward until their noses touched.<br><br>Pink sparks seemed to literally fly in the space between their snouts, and Cuprite felt something shoot down his spine. His heart felt warm and suddenly he could her a voice...<br><br>"Hello? Hello? Can you hear me?"<br><br>The voice was soft, gentle and sounded very much like a young hatchling might.<br><br>"Yes... I can hear you..."<br><br>"Oh! Oh! Joy! That brings me so much joy! I think I would have been in those brambles forever if you hadn't come along." She chuckled, seeming to grin to herself. Her blue fur seemed to shimmer even more in the light of the sun as she stepped into a patch of sunlight.<br><br>"And you are...?" He asked, chuckling again.<br><br>"Hm? Me? I.. To be honest, I'm not sure what I am! I just.. woke up and started wandering around. And then I got stuck.. and then I met you!"<br><br>"My love... Just who exactly are you talking to?" Eden asked, a worried expression turning on her face as she watched him.<br><br>"Hm? You can't hear her?" He asked, confused.<br><br>"Oh, only you can! I'm your spirideer now!" She started, blinking for a moment. "Oh... I guess that just came to me... weird... But anyway, I bonded to you! Well, our hearts did." She explained, making a quick spin as sparkles of magic floated around her.<br><br>"My... Spirideer?" Cuprite started, blinking a bit. He hadn't expected a new companion today, much less one that bonded to him... But, here he was.</div></div><br><br><div class="hider-panel"><div class="hider-heading"><button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-xs hider-button" data-name="Even More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising)">Even More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising) [+]</button></div><div class="hider-body" style="display: none">Raira had always been a free spirit. Though, she hadn't anticipated he'd settle them down so quickly...<br><br>She still hasn't really forgiven him for that and regularly leaves the community to explore on her own. If asked, she'd explain that there was something inside of her, something that vibrated with an intensity she couldn't explain and the only solution was to fly free and explore at her own pace.<br><br>Raira didn't have many friends growing up, but the one she had was the truest friend she'd ever had. The only person who knew about Pache was her brother Cuprite, who despite not understanding how she could understand or communicate with Pache respected her relationship with him.<br><br>Raira remembers a humorous moment when Pache and Cuprite misunderstood each other.<br><br>"...What? Why are you doing that?" Cuprite asked, his eyes narrowing as he watched the small white Fae dragon flutter around him, bouncing up and down from the ground wildly, his head frills moving and undulating.<br><br>"Raira!" The smaller dragon called, his voice high-pitched but utterly monotone.<br><br>"What about her?" Cuprite asked again.<br><br>"Birth! Birth!" Pache cried out, still trilling frantically.<br><br>"What?!" He asked, blinking. "Are you trying to say Raira has laid eggs? That's not even possible! She's too young!" He started, now frantic. "Oh god, how would we explain this to mother? Should we tell her? Do we have to?" Cuprite mumbled to himself, mind churning.<br><br>Pache visibly deflated a bit before starting back up again. By the time Pache spoke again, Cuprite was already running to find Raira. "Birth day! Birth dayyyy!" He cried out after the larger dragon.<br><br>Cuprite had found Raira by that point and a rather humorous exchange took place in which her brother, face impossibly red, tried to ask her if she had laid any eggs recently. Which had, in fact, prompted a rather red face from her as well. They had a rather long conversation about trying to learn how to properly read Pache's frills but that certainly wasn't the only time Cuprite and Pache had misunderstood each other.<br><br>When Raira arrived at the Gladebough Village, she met an incredibly handsome and sweet Imperial Dragon whom she fell instantly in love with. She spent the first few months they were in the village, following him around, trying to impress him with both her physical prowess and intelligence. He didn't seem interested at all at first. He often scoffed silently and turned his nose up at her, walking away. But after months of trying and trying, Raira was a few steps away from giving up on him completely when he actually responded to her.<br><br>"Bercilak! I found a pretty stone while hunting near the river that I wanted to show you." Raira called out, grinning as she dropped the stone at his table, where he was reading a scroll on the history of fighting tactics used by Ice dragons. She half expected him to completely ignore her and was ready after waiting a moment to pick the stone back up and turn away.<br><br>She watched him look up from his scroll, however, head raising just slightly as he looked at the stone. "It is.. very pretty.." He mumbled, glancing her away for the briefest of moments before looking back at his book.<br><br>From then on, Raira never left Bercilak alone and it seemed as though the younger dragon didn't mind. As she walked, however, she heard the roar of a dire claw.<br><br>It swiped at her and she barely managed to dodge out of the way. It felt as if everything moved in slow motion. The leaves in the trees seemed to still as she watched Bercilak leap out in front of her, fighting with the bear. He was severely wounded, but the young dragon did manage to hold his ground against the bear long enough for it to tire of them and run off. Worried, Raira raced to his side.<br><br>"Bercy, are you okay? Oh my goodness... Oh no... What am I going to do.." She cried out, tears streaming down her face. In her mind, his wounds had to be fatal, she just knew it.<br><br>"Calm down, little one..." He replied, his voice soft and even toned. It sounded as if he wasn't even hurt. Which, Raira had to admit had bolstered her mood considerably. Tears still streamed down her face but now, she felt like he would be okay, that it would be okay.<br><br>"Let me go get Cuprite!" She called out, starting to get up. She was stopped by Bercilak, who had grabbed her leg and pulled her back.<br><br>"Stay... He'll come back to check on us and I don't want you to be alone out there..." He grumbled, voice deep and now tinged with obvious pain. Raira could feel her heart breaking for him but she stayed with him, doing what she could. Cuprite did eventually find them and rush to help his sister get Bercilak back to the village for healing.<br><br>Since that moment, a sort of unspoken bond formed between Raira and Bercilak and they became mates despite never asking one another. Because of this incident, Raira spends a lot of her time researching healing salves and healing magic so that she never has to feel that helpless again.</div></div><br><br><span class="bb-b">Catch me on;</span><br><br>FlightRising - HylianRose<br>Pokefarm Q - HylianRoze<br>Discord - Ask!<br></div>
