@Letter Bee I think that@Lucius Cypher has a pretty solid lore for the orc population. One that I would strongly go with for this story. Why don't you coordinate your ideas with them and have that see on whether or not orcs could've been in Giray.
@boomlover oh, I thought I got back on that- let me check
Good morning my pretties. So what is on the agenda today? I hope everyone had a great weekend, looking forward to more posts, and hopefully getting up the mountain by the end of this week. :)

Who are we looking for to post?
@Letter Bee firstly, you'd have to tell me why he would be 'used to' orcs/half orcs- and why there would be a community of them in Giray. I don't really know if orc culture would do well in Giray.

@Lucius Cypher these are a lot of questions. .. hopefully I can answer them. To be fair and honest with you, when I created the world, I never did so with orcs in mind. So I truly don't know where or how they would fit in. That being said, I might be willing to give you full reign on the lore and background, providing that you can fit them in somewhere.

While Waeldeshore is made up predominantly of humans, they do tolerate otherworldly races, as long as they don't start trouble. Orchid may have an easier time than I originally anticipated, considering she is a half breed.

1- I would assume at this point it is the stereo type. And the fact that they've become skittish to anything different and rarely seen?

2- she is accepted, I just want to clarify if she is from somewhere on Silver Lily Isle, or not.

3- I don't think that Waeldeshore would have been famous for anything other than their trade. There were the underground guilds, as mentioned in the first post. But if there is anything particular you have in mind, I do not mind as long as it makes sense. I may be wrong here, as it was so long ago since I posted it, but I think Waeldeshore was once upon a time famous for their blacksmith skills. If that is something she is interested, perhaps she traveled there to become an apprentice.

4- I will not require you to tell me how well off your character is in game. I'm pretty sure the currency is gold, copper/silver is the currency. But unless you wanted your character to be poor, and or revert to banditry, she should have enough on her to cover the cost of a room.

Throughout the entirety of the rp there were 2 things that remained out of the scope of focus- religion and gold. For a couple of reasons I did this, but mainly I did this because this is more of an adventure rp where I as the gm push the plot along. This is not a sandbox rp. And the one thing that I ask from everyone is to create something with a sense of reality to it. Create something that makes sense. If you do not want your character to know something, or be able to do something, or whatever, that choice is left completely up to you, as long as it makes sense. I look for balance. So, if I may speak frankly, if you don't see it in the cs, then I don't care. And I leave it to be determined by you.

So to answer number 5- if that is a direction that you want to go in, be my guest. There is a bandit group, I believe they were named in the first post. So they are out there.

I created a base world for a plot line that I wanted to put forth. That's all. I am strict with the character creation part because of the story line and setting. But that is about the only thing I am strict on. Everything else, to me, you are all collaborators in this huge, great and epic story. I do allow world building, as long as it is plausible, that's why I ask you to run it by me first. You'll realize, the only time I say no to something, is when I don't find it plausible. If you can explain it to me though, and it fits- go right ahead.

Edit and add on- I am not good at world building, and this was my first rp. I never expected it to last this long, and the only reason it has was the exceptional group of people that have been going along with my shenanigans this long. :p
@Lucius Cypher you're more than welcome to input your own lore if you'd like or have something in mind. I kept everything pretty open and vague for mostly that reason. The only things to keep in mind is the war that erupted 5 years ago with the mage and lords, and the aftermath. Most of the inhabitants of the island migrated to Waedeshore since their land had been destroyed. There were of course some settlements that survived of course, very few and far between.

Just let me know what you come up with :)
@Lucius Cypher hi there and welcome. I've managed to sneak in a little time. Hehe

I like your character. The only thing I'm really worried about is that townspeople probably aren't going to take too kindly to orcs or half orcs. Jeez almighty, they're still suspicious of the lot that saved their town :p

But as long as you can work with that, then she's fine.

The party is getting preeeeeety big, if I'm imagining correctly, and not just that hung over :p

@The Harbinger of Ferocity as "The Red"
@The Fated Fallen as Tirarrian
@boomlover as Robert
@Dragoknighte as Kayleth and Durin

@Jon Y as Ionathan

@ArenaSnow is my co-gm and contributes a lot, as well as in charge of team evil demons.

Team evil mage is under my control, but let's face it, he's kinda the under boss?

Characters will be splitting up soon, so you have the option of coming into town and running into us before we leave, or bumping into us while on our journey.

Just as a correction on your cs, Waeldeshore is the majors city on silver lily isle. You can choose to be a native of the land, but if so, I would want to expand on that lore some. Or your character can be a traveler to silver lily shores, or more specifically, the docks in Waeldeshore.

I am, for the most part, on my phone when I'm here. Progression is a bit slow, but I am here as often as I can be. And my number one priority, aside from producing an amazing story, is to make sure everyone is having fun. I won't really be around much today, but if anyone else is, I'm sure they can help you out. Effort and imagination. That's all I really ask for :)
So I posted, and now Robert can reply :p

I will be tacking on another post with npc things, and some other stuff to move the plot along, but at least izzy is out of the way.
She had spent the last few minutes toiling over her brunch decision. A fresh baked danish, filled with some sort of cheese that was only described as divine, and toped with a heavenly dollop of chocolate, or the basket of assorted fruit that seemed to be seducing her with their tantalizing smell, vibrant colors, and ripening curves. If felt good that this was the daunting decision of the moment. Thoughts of their current situation still clouded her mind, but at least there was this one, bright moment of the day. She savored it, along with the delicious, mouth watering aromas that would soon dissappear with the morning.

It wouldn't be long until the afternoon sun blazed on their backs. She gave them all a half hour, and time was almost up. A soft sigh escaped her as she gave into temptation, finally purchasing the basket of fruit. Chocolate was her biggest weakness, but she choked down the thought of the pastry, making room as she shoved an apple in her mouth.

She quickly made her way through the many stalls and shops that lined this part of town. So many wonderful things. She started to worry what would become of it all if they failed.

Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted as she nearly collided with Robert. It hadn't even been a half hour since she let the rage escape and scared the kid to death. She never intended to scare him, not really anyway. She hated that part of herself. It got her into more trouble than it was normally worth. Her eyes widened upon the near collide, and within them flashed something so genuine, so human and alone. As quickly as it came, it went. Her gaze darted elsewhere as she tried to focus her attention to their current situation.

Meeting his gaze once more, she plucked the apple from the thinning lines of her jaw. Her voice was hoarse as she spoke. "We should be ready to head out soon. I'd hope to reach a decent spot to camp for the night so we're not all devoured by the shadows.". Her sentence crawled to its end. Her mouth went dry and a chill suddenly trickled down her spine. Her eyes were still pinned on his, despite it all. Silence drowned out her thoughts, until "Right... ", she rolled her shoulders back, trying to gain some sort of comfort in the movement of her own body, shaking away ... whatever it was just now. She nodded every so slightly, in acknowledgement, and continued on her way.

@boomlover
Lol no worries. Bam, he runs into Izzy. That is certainly a cliff hanger.
I've got some time after work. Been typing up my post but just haven't gotten to finish. I should be out of here in an hourish? So yay! And will have something up shortly after. So sorry for the delay
