@The Harbinger of Ferocity lol there was quite a bit. I have full confidence that you'll come up with an amazing response to it all :)

Just as am fyi to everyone, Arena and I hope to have everything wrapped up, for the most part, by mid next month the very latest. Next week may be a bit ... hectic for me with Thanksgiving on Thursday and all the baking I have to do >.< but the boss is actually giving me off next Friday so yay! But with the holidays coming up, I'm sure it's going to get crazy for all of you. So I would like to get everything finished up before then.
@boomlover lol let me know if you need help at all :)
Ok, so to the group in the mountains, something big is about to happen. As you play this out, please do not jump too far ahead in your post (something like, they grab the stone and run out of the cave). It's going to be a bit more complicated than that.

Right now, we have @Belwicket who is playing the halfling, Regina, which last we left the scene, was about to try and get the artifact.

@KazeXDZ, Siegfried, who heard newcomers traveling into the cave, he traveled back towards the entrance, bumbling into Isabeau, Robert, Durin, and Kayleth. Upon leading them back to the rest of the group, he made a wrong turn, and ended up finding the evil dragon. With hopes of not waking him, they quickly made off in the right direction this time, successfully joining the rest of the group.

@Lucius Cypher as Orchid, our lovely half orc, who handed Regina a piece of rope to acquire the artifact.

@RokkuHoshi, a new player to the rp, who is playing Gil, the half elf, and Lonmil, the gnome. They followed the tracks up into the cave, and came upon Siegfried, Regina and Orchid as they were thinking out/planning out how to retrieve the artifact.

@boomlover, as Robert, who followed Isabeau due to his suspicions and mistrust of her. While still in town, just before the attack, he felt a presence around him, as if someone, something was watching him.

@Dragoknighte, as Durin the dwarf and Kayleth, the elven healer. They followed Isabeau and Robert, keeping up the rear.

I hope I didn't miss anyone. If anyone wants to collaborate, or needs help coming up with a post, please let me know. You'll find this particular post that you'll all expand on here

And to make things much less confusing, I will be taking a much more active role and controlling this dragon. So please avoid acting on behalf of the dragons in your post
Double post, sorry, unless you want to make a post before that.
@boomlover lol whatever it takes to get you back buddy lol when I get out of work, I am gonna make a post about the shadows that have been following Robert
@Letter Bee I would ask that you run it by me before you actually put it out there, but sure. Why not.
There are none. It was a position passed down to his son, and his son, being much younger, had no intention of dying. He also just stepped into this position not more than a year or 2 prior? Him dying just ... happened? I hate politics, so I never integrated that into the rp.

There is no younger son, so I imagine when the town has a moment to do so, the advisors, and whoever kept his council will discuss what is to be done and who could replace him. His father isn't dead, so he may take up the reign once more if need be.
@Letter Bee The shadows aren't quite strong, but they are shadows. So as long as he has a valid way of defeating them, be my guest. They were meant as a ... distraction? As something extra for your characters to interact with. They aren't a true threat so to speak. But they did allow Zargon to do what he intended.
So I posted something for the group fighting Zargon in town. I've got something in the works for a scene up in the mountain but as I have run out of time on my break and need to get back to work. I'll have it up soon though, don't despair!
Jeltheor was able to keep an eye on the group in town through a magic orb he had picked up on his travels. His mood certainly perked up as he watched the Lord Marshall's execution. A mood that was dampened by the battle which proceeded.

"Pitiful little mortals", he mutterred, regarding the band of warriors attacking Zargon.

It seemed though, he hadn't noticed Genevieve, or the other demon who had joined in on the fighting. And if he had, they were of no concern to him as his attention was solely on Zargon and his escape. He wasn't done with him yet, and it was becoming quite clear that if Zargon couldn't find a way out, it would be the end for him.

With a single wave of his hand, shadows begun to creep up around the group.

"He did manage to secure the death of their pathetic leader, I can, at the very least, throw him a bone. Just as long as he knows it's from me." He muttered, disgust lining his tone.

The shadows slink ed and slithered through the battlefield. Whether noticed or not, they were an unstoppable force, passing through whatever was in their was just as easily as the air that settled around them.

One shadow loomed over the lioness before pouncing on her, just as she had done to the wounded demon. It's intention was to devour her whole, shredding any physical manifestation out of existence.

Another shadow stretched it's shape into a humanoid form. It presented itself to Ioannes, just asking for a fight.

The last shadow stood off to the side, but as close to Zargon as it could get. It stood with open arms as if ready to be consumed by the demon, offering whatever aid it could.

Jeltheor had no true idea what the outcome of his actions would be, but he supposed it could work. How does one defeat a shadow anyhow?

As the group lingered in the cave, strange things began to happen. Shadows cast on the cold stone walls around them began to move. It was a slight, subtle movement, barely noticeable to anyone that wasn't paying attention. They seemed to linger more near Robert, as if watching over him, or perhaps observing his movements. He would have felt that same eerie presence about, the eyes he felt watching him before he left the town.

Soft whispers of chitter chatter echoed through the various tunnels and caverns, as if the shadows were communicating with one another.

To top it all off, rumbling of rocks and gold and jewels could be heard. There was a disturbance somewhere in the large cave, but where exactly could not be specified.

The tunnels of the cave were like a labyrinth, it was too easy to get lost. They all looked the same, and all lined with treasure. Some of the jewels were as big as a person's head. Even just a handful would make someone the richest being alive- if they could manage to get out alive that is.

The halfling had successfully identified the artifact amongst the sea of jewels. Her attempt at seeing into the scholars mind paid off, otherwise it may not have been as easy. The tricky part now was to actually acquire it.

Despite all that had been against them, despite all that could go wrong, and all that very well may still happen, it was right there within their reach.

The chitter chatter from the shadows grew lounder, edging the group on.
