I would imagine she's lived long enough out of the wild to be well adapted to urban living on top of her mental enhancements and acquiring some human behavioral characteristics. And working with Cass on bounties does well to satisfy her huntress needs. But if you have ideas plot-wise about alien style savannas, I certainly will not object :)

Actually I was leaning more towards go :D I've started reading up on it, since chess has never appealed to me and I would never be able to RP it believably She would be able to move the stones with her claws and she could always call out her plays and her opponent move the pieces :)

I think I'll wait up for some other opinions and if no one is against I'll go ahead and put her in the character tab with your permission and have her join me on the hunt for Shaw.

Ok... Here's what I got so far... It's just a draft and if you /all of you/ guys feel it would be redundant I won't mind scrapping it :)

Also... I know I said tigress, but I really meant to say lioness xD

Name - Ganesha /Cass calls her Nesh for short, but I suppose she would also respond to Ganny/

Age - 50ish /average lifespan of lions is about 14-15 years, Ganesha's genetically enhanced lifespan is 150ish/

Species - genetically enhanced bio-mecha lioness

Role - Cass' companion

Gender - Female

This would be a very rough visual of her armor. I imagine it a bit more elegant and body hugging. Kind of like Guyver armor.

How I would like the armor to deploy and retract.

Personality - Being a lioness, she is used to living within a pride. She is very loving towards Cass, who she considers her cub and will often try to mother her. Being a cat, even a large cat, she can be standoffish with strangers, but will warm to people if she feels Cass accepts them as friends. Still, being a cat, she could be snarky more often than not, but she is extremely loyal to those she considers her pride.

History - Ganesha was a couple years shy out of cubhood when she was poached from her home in the savanna. She was fully grown and already a deadly huntress and killer, but somehow found herself waking up in a cage without remembering falling asleep. In fact the last thing she did remember was stalking her pray in the savanna. When she woke up she was very confused, frightened and at the same time, enraged. She knew she was robbed of her freedom. Still she was well looked after. She was fed regularly and even let out to walk freely within a confined area. She tried to escape a couple of times. She remembered mauling a couple of her captors in the process, but she always woke up in the familiar cage unharmed.
Little by little Ganesha began to understand the situation she was in a little better. She would observe keenly everything while she was awake and sometimes she would notice changes within her after she awoke.
She couldn't have known then, but she was part of the preparatory stage of the splice project. The scientists needed enhanced animal DNA to cook up the cocktail they would need for the splicing with human DNA. Little by little her mental abilities were enhanced until the point where, via the help of implanted mechanical voice emulator, she was even able to speak. It took a considerable time, of course, teaching speech to an animal. Even an enhanced one such as Ganesha. But she was a lioness, and a survivor. And she knew that learning meant survival.
A few years into the project she started noticing a change in the behavior of her captors. She was still well cared for. She was fed regularly and still allowed to roam freely the huge closed off yard. But it seemed like the attention of the scientists had shifted. Ganesha feared what might happen to her and the other animals within the project if their captors lost interest in them all together.
Plucked out of their natural habitats, experimented on, enhanced and possibly made even more dangerous there was no way they would be allowed to live after they'd served their purpose.
Ganesha was right to fear the scientists' intentions. After they were successful in splicing the human subjects with the enhanced animal DNA cocktail, most of the animals were disposed off. Ganesha and some of the larger animals were kept for further experimentation and with the idea to be used with military purposes.
Fortunately for Ganesha one of the scientist had taken a liking to her and after the project was discontinued had bought her off and taken her to his home to be his companion in his retirement. He was an eccentric old kook, but Ganesha was grateful to him. He'd saved her from a fate she dared not imagine. She'd lived with him for 30 something years when he'd come home one day from his travels with a female companion in her mid thirties. He'd introduced her to Ganesha as Cassidy. He'd also explained to Ganesha that he was old and ill and that he didn't want to leave her knowing that she would be left on her own. He also told her what this Cassidy was. That she was one of the kids they'd made, using the results of the experiments done on her and the other animals.
At first Ganesha was unaccepting of Cassidy. She loved her old kook and even though she knew he was right and that he would leave her soon, she still didn't like the feeling of being handed off to this young cub.
But the more Cass came to visit, the more Ganesha grew to like her. The girl was open, honest, still rough around the ages, but good at heart. She cared for the old man and for her as well. And when the time came for the old kook to begin his new journey, the two of them sent him off and Ganesha willingly followed Cassidy.

Equipment - Ganesha has no real need for equipment. What she needs during hunts is already a part of her armor. Namely a camera that transmits to Cassidy's visor and a radio receiver. She has an implanted voice emulator, which is also linked to Cass' coms. /Tech-y people, help. What would be a not too op transmission range for the camera and the signal from her VE - voice emulator, if they are used mainly during hunts?/ When not in combat, her VE is set to out-loud speech.

Ship - N/A

Extras - Ganesha can not only speak, but read. She is of what is considered mid to high human intelligence. She still retains her animal instincts and for the most part behavior, but she has acquired some human-esque behavior as well. She is a keen strategist and enjoys playing strategy games /even though I myself don't so not sure how I'm gonna RP that /

On another note...

I've been considering making a second character, but I don't want it to be e person... Some sort of companion... I've been brainstorming anything from an AI to a mech companion, to an enhanced animal of some sort. But I don't want it to be redundant and we already have a number of AI's and mechs on deck.

My most recent idea was an enhanced tigress. The animal would be enhanced in order for its genetic material to be viable in the splice project. She would be mostly mentaly enhanced, perhaps some bionic parts in her. Still I didn't want to mimic the Omorfia/B.E.A.S.T and Alexis/Meg pairings.

What do you think? Ideas and opinions would be appreciated :)

Cass was perched on the rooftop of a desolate, abandoned building nestled in the lower levels of New Newyork's slums. She was hot on the trail of her new quarry. She needed the work. Not so much for the money. Not that she would pass over fifteen million. One would be crazy to and Cass wasn't crazy. Well, not the refuse-fifteen-million-crazy anyway. But she needed the distraction. She'd had a bounty hunting crew with a couple of her splice buddies, but one after the other they all got mated and eventually left the business to settle down with their mates. She bore them no ill will. After all it was what she eventually wanted for herself. To find a mate. Maybe not settle down per se, but still... to find that connection with someone and hunt bounties together and live happily ever after.

Cass chuckled wistfully and shook her head to clear out the last lingering romantic notion. She switched gears quickly and lifted her head to sniff the air. Just to make sure she hadn't lost the trail. She hadn't. The scent wasn't fresh. A couple of hours old, but she could follow the quarry non the less. Due to her splice genetics she could discern scents and smells that were a couple of hours old at least.

Cassidy extended her 5'7 frame gracefully and without so much as a twitch of a muscle flew into a full sprint so fast an ordinary human would need a slow-mo cam to detect her movement. She dashed across the rooftops, jumping over the gaps between the buildings with apparent ease. Thoughts of her ex crew already stuffed neatly in a box somewhere in her subconscious. Slowly, but surely Cassidy receded and the huntress surfaced. She had a job to do and a damned good reason to do it. She needed to get off Earth. She needed a change. And it looked like this Shaw fellow was going to be her ticket out.

But Cass was a cautious hunter. For one man to have such large bounty on his had, he would have to be dangerous. And right now she was a one woman show. She needed to be careful and not underestimate her quarry. She would pursue him and wait for the opportune moment to strike. She could tell by the scents and smells she was detecting he was being pursued by some sort of reptilian or reptiloid creature. She could smell raw power and strength. Maybe even on par with her own. But she also had cunning.

She was getting closer now. She could hear the commotion caused by the chase. Her enhanced hearing picking up scattered bits of conversation. Insults being thrown about. Shouts.

Since Niamh has no previous ship, maybe she could have been looking for this bounty to get her off earth. So when she runs into Rune's crew, she'll have a reason to wanna hitch a ride. How does that sound?

That would work. I just thought she had a bounty hunting crew with some of the other splices. But all of them one after the other got mated and settled down. So she is kinda left alone and in search of a new crew/family at the moment. She is a pack animal after all :)

Short, black hair.

Personality - The strong silent type around strangers. But among friends it's another story. She's open and friendly. Extremely loyal and protective, can be a bit of a mother hen to the younger folk When it comes to work she is stalwart, professional, focused. Bred to be the perfect hunter, she is unwavering in the pursuit of her quarry. Although warm and welcoming with friends, she rarely reveals much of herself, besides the parts she has trouble hiding due to her splice nature. She guards her inner self, her heart of hearts and soul of souls to share with that one and only special person. She may or may not have some kink in her

History - Cassidy was the result of an experiment to create the perfect soldier. She and about a thousand other babies were cooked up in petri dishes, raised by scientists and trained by the army. Their human DNA was spliced with a cocktail of various animal DNA. The goal was to impart the new species with superior physical abilities and senses, while also prolonging the lifespan of the specimens. The scientists were successful to some extent. While they did manage to gift the splices with superior physical abilities and heightened senses, as well as longer lifespan. The experiment was ultimately deemed a failure.

To ensure the splices laser focus to missions, they were bred to be sterile. However mother nature finds ways to ensure the survival of a species if it doesn't want to die out. And so slowly but surely the splices acquired the ability to procreate. And not only that but they could do so with any gender or species as long as there was compatibility. Also, unlike the genetically unmodified humans, the splices could control at will the act of procreation itself. No oops babies for them. The experiment was ultimately deemed a failure because of something else however. Since the splices had a mish-mash of animal genes, they tended to respect actual strength and earned leadership and failed more than once to carry out orders of superiors they deemed unworthy of their rank.

Cassidy was no different in that regard. She wouldn't allow dominance over her by someone undeserving of it. On more that one occasion she had disobeyed direct orders and had finally decked an officer when he'd tried to convince her his rank meant she had to sleep with him out of respect. She was discharged from the UGCP and took to bounty hunting since she still retained her personal sense of justice and the desire to punish wrongdoers. Because of her splice nature Cassidy has a very high sex drive and even higher drive to mate/find a life partner. And although a tryst between the sheets or against a wall, or a door to scratch an itch and abate some physical needs was fine and well, she did prefer to exert herself in other ways to staunch the urges. However strong her sex drive, her drive to mate was even stronger but so was her resolve to wait until the perfect mate came along. It was the only thing she wouldn't compromise with. And trough her life and experiences she'd come to prefer exclusively female candidates for her heart, body and sole.

Cassidy is a melee fighter by preference, but she is highly proficient with a variety of mid and long range weapons as well as numerous hand-to-hand combat styles. She was bred and trained to be the perfect soldier/hunter after all.

I would start you directly on it but her character has a thing about strangers. So we'll have you chasing Shaw as your bounty and you'll run into rune's crew where you'll hopefully be recruited. Shaw is running for his life through the lower inner city alleys of New Newyork. If you have any questions, or if you would like to start else where, let me know.

Actually I was just finishing reading the IC and OOC and was wondering how to go about and land on the bounty hunter ship /should my CS be approved/ and was brainstorming something along the lines of what you have suggested. So I would be okay with starting like that. I would appreciate some feedback on the mechanics of posting in IC, if I should wait for specific permission or if I should go with the flow of the story and so on and so fort... :) Sorry, my brain is already writing up Cas' chase of Shaw

Ok, this has peaked my interest to say the least. Huge sci-fi fan here :D

I'm having urges to create a character in the vain of Dark Angel's Max or something out of Sanctuary. A GMO human or some hollow earth-esque species. Not sure exactly which will work better with the setting of the world. I just want a badass bounty hunter who may or may not have some kinky characteristics

Would that be agreeable? :) If yes, I would get on making her a reality
