Hey there! Thanks for dropping by my request thread, potential writing partner. I hope you're having a good morning/afternoon/night! Feel free to refer to me however you like, though I prefer to be called 'Kai', haha.
I'll be upfront and state that this thread won't be for everyone— I have some hyperspecific cravings and have no real interest in anything else outside of this thread. I'm simply at a point in my life where I just want to write about subjects that I like. And I hope to find like-minded individuals who share my interest in roleplaying these same plots or ideas. I recognize that this might be a shot in the dark, and that's fine! I prefer trying to reach out over letting these ideas rot in my head.

It all started at a mixer—
Dragged by her friends to meet some guys, Mia found herself awkwardly sitting across from strangers on a Friday evening. She was supposedly there to make up the numbers for the girl group, but she knew right away that her friends were trying to hook her up with a guy. They were all dating already, with only Mia being the single friend in the group. She figured they felt bad that they all found their Prince Charmings while Mia was stuck wading through the dating pool. They couldn’t understand why she was single for this long! Of course, all the men she ended up meeting ended up being dates from hell: men who only talked about themselves, raging misogynists, and those who only cared for sex.
But he was different. A gentleman with a kind and warm personality.
Mia and him hit it off well enough. He was a good conversationalist, shared the same hobbies, and was interested in more than just her body. It was surprising, but they ended up dating after agreeing to a timed trial to see if they were compatible. From the surface, their relationship was impeccable… but Mia couldn’t help but think her boyfriend was too perfect. There wasn’t a single thing she could complain about, but there was a strange distance between them. Was it because he treated everyone with the same kindness he treats her? Or was it because she found it hard to make a romantic connection with him? With the limited time arrangement coming to a close soon, Mia figured it was for the best that they ended things amicably. But when she decided to surprise him at work, she witnessed an entirely different side of him. He was wild, seductive, and possessive. The man she knew before was kind and indifferent to her. The man in front of her was rough and obsessed with her.
Who the hell is this guy?!
Brainstorm Musings: So, originally I was thinking of this as a split personality scenario, but I realized that it can go in many different directions! My initial thought was that the guy had a split personality, and he asks Mia to essentially babysit his other side since he likes her a lot. Another plotline I can imagine is that the guy lives a secret double life. Maybe he's a mafia/yakuza leader or an assassin. A different plotline could be that the guy was her long time stalker, and Mia caught him when the facade was off. Just a lot of opportunities and interesting directions to take this!
Plot Two
Themes/Inspiration/Genre/etc.: Omegaverse, Alpha x Omega, Modern, Alternate Universe nonsense
There were many ways one finds themselves “isekai’d” into another world. Dying was a common technique. Summoning was another way. But accidentally crossing between world boundaries was a lesser-known way. That was what happened to Mia. She was just getting off the bus when the world suddenly felt… off. She couldn’t put a finger on it. There were no obvious changes between steps. She was still in the same ol’ city she grew up in and the same bus stop covered in the same graffiti she was used to. But something was different. It was then she noticed the evidence. Ads relating to heat suppressants. Citizens walk around with metal collars around their necks. Complaints about alpha this or omega that.
No way… did she end up in a parallel world where the omegaverse is real?!
Brainstorm Musing: A rather open-ended plot idea. Your character could be anyone but I like the idea that he’s a scientist studying Mia as he sees her as an abnormality. She’s clearly lacking a second gender and has absolutely no paper trail. But over time, she develops into an omega as she becomes a part of this parallel universe. Alternatively, this could be an arranged marriage/fake dating scenario where your character is this CEO figure who picks up Mia. Since she doesn’t have a second gender (yet) he uses her to get his parents off his back in exchange for helping her figure out how she ended up there. IDK! Happy to brainstorm.

Worn out from living an unforgiving life, Mia wanted nothing more than to escape the mortal toil. The idea of just becoming another cog in the machine to make the 1% even richer makes her want to start a riot! She didn't survive for 21 years just to become a corporate slave! What do you mean that life is just downhill from here?! With no escape from reality, she turned to video games as her escapist fantasy. While trying to enjoy her cozy life sim, a random joined her world. Did she have the multiplayer setting on by accident? No matter... The two hit it off as she found it nice to have a friend help her farm potatoes and complete town quests. But who would have thought that this mysterious companion was a deity in disguise and that they had an opportunity of a lifetime?
Brainstorm Musings: To be perfectly honest, I've been playing a lot of Stardew Valley and suddenly developed a craving for a simple town management campaign. Simple as that! I'm well-versed in DnD but I would like to avoid overusing dice rolls. They're fun for the element of randomness or technical stuff but can cramp the flow of good scenes during story portions. Lots to brainstorm on and it doesn't necessarily need to be a town! Could be a dungeon management or some other location. I think it would be fun to incorporate elements of CYOAs too. But I'm open to any others that fit the prompt! Maybe borrowing a little bit of this and that.

Brainstorm Musing: So... no plot write-up. This is something I want to brainstorm with a potential partner properly. To preface, I'm looking for someone to play the hive mind. FYI before anyone jumps the gun here. I was inspired by several concepts that made me want to explore this line of thinking. It's scratching my creative writing itch. I was inspired by the Egg Theory, Unity from Rick & Morty, and this vocaloid song. There's plenty of brainstorming to talk about. The Hive Mind can be an alien, god, or some freak of nature. It could take place in the modern world or in a pocket dimension opening up for more fantastical options. Lots to discuss!
