After all, a Rakdos party's a flop if anyone lives to talk about it. But anyway, we can't go around calling me Asshole Queen, as amusing as that may be. I'm Vultana, and it's my pleasure to be your-" Vultana's reply, just on the verge of becoming a monolgue, was cut short as a chain clipped her in the shoulder.

Growling, Vultana walked forwards, holding up her free hand and twirling it slowly, wrapping black mana around it as a humanoid figure began to form next to it. Eventually, a Balduvian Fallen was at her side, with even an arrow sticking out of it, for effect. Her rage and passion from eariler was gone, replaced now by slow, almost langerous pace, as if she had all the time in the world, and wanted to make the most of it. She approached the dust cloud but held off entering for the time being. Even she'd rather have a little backup, and the zombie wasn't quite done yet.

@NarcissisticPotato Thought about the similarities between justice and vegeance. Suddenly I want to see a scene where someone unlawfully hurts Pheonix so that they have two angry, badass demigod girls knocking on their door the next morning.

Death by a Thousand Cuts

The concept of the roleplay is an ongoing series of battles between single monsters and a team of weaker, but more numerous humanoid characters. It will be in a typical fantasy-style world, with each battle being referred to as a contract, respresenting the PCs' roles as professional monster hunters. Since the focus is on combat, the setting will probably not be developed much, but PC development is up to the individual. I, as the GM, will be taking the role of the monsters, of course.

Both divine and arcane magic are permitted for PCs. Nothing ridiculous, obviously. You all will probably be able to get power level right, approximately moderate powers equivalent in traditional arena roleplay. Anyway, I'll say so if not.

Obviously, due to the nature of the rp, teamwork is key. I will reward players who help their allies and don't charge in recklessly with improved results of their actions. Oh, and if you purposefully get someone on your team killed, there will be problems. My personal favourite rule in the history of gaming will also be in place here: John Wick's bad form rule. Simply put, use common sense. If you think it'll cause a problem, don't do it. If you're not sure, ask. Otherwise, just standard stuff. You know, not god-modding, being polite and all the other stuff that basically just falls down under the bad form rule.

Pheonix possess the uncanny ability to perform much better against people who've hurt her. It's clearly more than a psychological thing, and her lack of any other supernatural abilities confirms this. There's no one thing that defines it, it's simply that when Pheonix is pissed, she thinks faster and fights harder. Unsurprisingly, people don't mess with her very often.
Being a demigod, it was necessary for Pheonix to learn to fight. When dealing with monsters, Pheonix is capable enough with her two daggers, but her real strength lies in unarmed combat. The kind of unarmed combat that's about sneaky jabs and boots to guts, though. There is not much finesse in how she fights, and there's definitely no honour, but it works, and she's good at it, so that's what she does.
Personality
Pheonix isn't totally introverted, but she generally keeps to herself. She prefers to dress in black, often wearing boots and leather jackets, but has her hair dyed bright red. Thanks largely to her mother, despite usually keeping out of other people's business, she has a very short temper, and will use her reputation to get people to back down at first, but will quickly move on to physical violence. She likes alternative rock music and reads a lot, her favourite books being the Shadowhunters ones by Cassandra Clare.

Pheonix was born in Paris, to the godess Nemesis and a man named Pierre Lafontaine. Nemesis, at the time, was posing as a young Greek woman who had emmigrated to Paris to attend university and decided to stay afterwards. Pierre, however, was unfaithful a few years after Pheonix's birth, and Nemesis ended up killing both him and the other woman (deities of vengeance tend to be pretty harsh that way). Pheonix's lack of a father made things difficult for Nemesis, and she soon decided to bring Pheonix to the Academy. Because of this, Pheonix has been there almost her entire life, and doesn't remember what it was like outside.
Extra

• Pheonix's first language was French, and she's still fluent.
• Pheonix has attended Olympus for eleven years, making her one of the longest-attending students there.
