A spotlight was shined on the Gyarados Corner across from Liam and followed Shiranui as he walked out to his spot in the arena, confetti raining down in his vicinity.
“So Champions, how about it? A special exhibition match, where we each will use one Pokémon?”
"Count me in," answered Shiranui, completing the quartet of battlers.
Shiranui finished preparing his party for the Battle Royale. "I'm for it," he agreed.

Shiranui knew what Pokémon he would enter.
I'm only at level 24 and even if I could, I highly doubt I could make use of it as I'm from Kangaskhan country.
"Glad to know you're both doing alright," replied Shiranui, "Your trainer will need to get you up to speed on why he brought you here."
Shiranui handed his Pokémon to the local Nurse Joy and no sooner than he completed his task, he felt a slimy hug from Liam's Goodra. "Hello Goodra," he greeted, "How's Numeru?" Numeru was Shiranui's own Goodra and the mate of the one hugging him.
"I feel like I missed something." Chuck said, with concern on his face as he looked from Shiranui to Jen.
"Jen has pyrophobia," Shiranui whispered into Chuck's ear.
