Bio

Hey all, JB here.

I'm a DM for a large number of games here on RPG, as well as a player in several others. Many of the games I run are overly complex, or they involve Dungeons and Dragons (which is also overly complex!).

I work 40+ hours a week, and am the proud father of two tiny terrors named Chibi and Chibette and married to my beautiful Wifey. As such, I am quite busy more often than not. I typically write 2-5 paragraphs per reply and try to maintain an excellent level of grammar. If you noticed me glancing at your profile, I probably was looking to see if you would be a good match for my RPing style. Even if I didn't send a PM to you, feel free to send one back!

I enjoy 1x1 RPs and small groups. I'm fond of medieval, steampunk, and futuristic settings, and I'll jump into romance, adventure, and slice of life RPs fairly quickly, although supernatural (vampires, werewolves, etc) RPs get old for me pretty quickly. If you're looking for an RP partner and I've glanced at your profile, then I'm most likely willing to give it a shot, but decided against PMing you because I'm actually kinda shy. But I'm always looking for a new friend!

Please feel free to say hi at any time!

We are ending the previous module and starting a new one at level 11. PM me for more details!

The fight was really starting to pick up now. The shadows did not seem to chase Katia, which was all well and good to her, but her allies would be in need of her assistance. No point in remaining behind the wall forever. She peeked around the corner, charging the radiant energy between her palms, and lined up a shot. The burst of light shot forth from her palms, striking the shade in its head and exploding in a burst of light that was likely more showy than effective. "Gotcha!" Katia called out with a squeal of delight.

She knew she could follow up with a flurry of light on her foes, but she was already feeling the need for a rest to recharge her spirit. Perhaps with the next shot, she would be able to send all of the rest of the shadows back to the depths of whatever demon-infested pit they crawled from, but for now, her allies would have to take care of things and hopefully keep them from attacking her.

@Hekazu - Theodore (Next!)
@The Harbinger of Ferocity - DM
@Muttonhawk@Brithwyr - I can add one more PC. If you are able to get a Character Sheet complete by 7 pm EST tomorrow, I will let the other players vote on who gets in.

As an update, current classes are:
Vigilante, Cartomancer Witch, Monk/Druid, and Magus. We could definitely use some tank.
Thanks for the offer, but it's the early hours of the morning here. The short notice is a wee bit short. I think I'll make your life easier and decline. Besides, I think an all-nighter character may come out jumbled and might not mesh with the existing characters.

If you don't mind, though, I can still stick around to answer questions. I'll probably be lurking the thread either way :P

Understood! Sorry you didn't get a chance to see earlier. However, we might be running more modules in the future if this goes well, so if there's a point where it makes sense for a new PC to join in, hopefully you'll have a greater heads up. The PM'd offer still stands, by the way :D
Hi there guys!

Just had a skim through the interest check thread and a good read of the OP, so rest assured I understand that the slots for this game may already be taken. However! I'd like to express interest in a couple of ways. First, if there have or will be drop-outs for whatever reason, I'd be keen to make a character. If not, I would like to offer my help in being a GM resource if you need it. I've run and played plenty of Pathfinder before, including GMing for the local Pathfinder Society organised play lodge.

(PFS tend to be sticklers for 'rules as written' for the most part, so being exposed to people there helped me figure out many under-the-rader and strange intricacies with the rules. Not to disrespect house rules -- they're downright necessary for Pathfinder sometimes -- but it is what it is.)

If nothing else, I can be a backup to fill a slot should circumstances prevent a player from continuing. I've got a list of builds I've been thinking about that I could bodge together. Might even make a custom race if you'd permit me with those 12 RP.

So, would you guys be willing to have me?

Hi!

I just picked the PCs, but have allowed a short extension for players to try to fill roles as needed. That extension ends tonight at 4 PM EST. If you can get me a fully complete character sheet by tonight at 8pm EST, I'll let you join in.

Current classes:
Vigilante, Rogue (might switch to a fighter/barbarian archetype), Monk/Druid, and Magus.

As for races, I would like to avoid custom races. The RP limit was for Paizo races (so people don't take extremely overpowered races when another is running a kobold, etc).

I would welcome some more insight on DMing. I am not explicitly going by PFS rules, but it's good to know what others tend to rule on obscure items.
We have moved to this page.

Drajhan placed the tip of his pinkie finger in his aural cavity, attempting to clean it. He could have sworn that this commoner had just called him, Baron Caerziros Drajhan, Vindicator of the Southern Coasts, a common looter! A bandit! A... dare he think it... rogue! The audacity required to make such an accusation was unfathomable. Did he not see the flowing azure cape bearing the symbol of House Caerziros on the reverse? Was he unable to tell the difference between a brogueish brigand's blade and his exquisite arcane masterpiece?!

The dragonborn stepped forward, a subtle use of prestidigitation causing his already illustrious attire to sparkle ever so lightly in the foggy light. "I shall forgive this tri-toed newt his assumedly unintentional impudence. By my scales, I am no common thief, but the leader and protector of this group. We come here searching not for treasure, but for answers to the arcane mysteries this impromptu cavern must gold. I mean hold!" The slip of the tongue certainly must have gone unnoticed, right? The best thing to do was obviously to keep talking.

"Perhaps if you know this place, we could work out an arrangement. A guide certainly would not harm our expedition, and it appears you are just the sort of common local that would know something potentially of value to our cause." Drajhan bowed dramatically, but his hand rested upon the pommel of his sheathed blade, just in case the man was truly insane enough to attack a group of well-armed individuals, of which Draj was entirely and indisputably the leader of. At least, so he believed.

Ok, so this RP didn't quite go where I was hoping it would. Apologies, but I'm going to have to drop from it. Thanks for the opportunity!
