Bio
Hey all, JB here.
I'm a DM for a large number of games here on RPG, as well as a player in several others. Many of the games I run are overly complex, or they involve Dungeons and Dragons (which is also overly complex!).
I work 40+ hours a week, and am the proud father of two tiny terrors named Chibi and Chibette and married to my beautiful Wifey. As such, I am quite busy more often than not. I typically write 2-5 paragraphs per reply and try to maintain an excellent level of grammar. If you noticed me glancing at your profile, I probably was looking to see if you would be a good match for my RPing style. Even if I didn't send a PM to you, feel free to send one back!
I enjoy 1x1 RPs and small groups. I'm fond of medieval, steampunk, and futuristic settings, and I'll jump into romance, adventure, and slice of life RPs fairly quickly, although supernatural (vampires, werewolves, etc) RPs get old for me pretty quickly. If you're looking for an RP partner and I've glanced at your profile, then I'm most likely willing to give it a shot, but decided against PMing you because I'm actually kinda shy. But I'm always looking for a new friend!
Please feel free to say hi at any time!
Name/Aliases: JB, JBRam, Jeebs Gender: M DOB: June 1988 Location: Maine (East Coast USA) Hobbies: Ridiculously complex RP ideas involving lots of spreadsheets.
@manapool1 We just lost a player due to wolf bite, so we actually have room for one more. Out of the characters you listed, the following seem most useful: Hanuman (we lost a barbarian, so we're low on defense, and we could definitely use more healing... probably fills the most need). Gibbles (healing and helps with stealth, but I'd prefer Hanuman personally as he's more defensive-oriented). Hunk (although I have a minimum 18 year old policy)
The others seem like interesting ideas, but seem less beneficial to our current party (not that I'd turn them away). Please also be aware that we use Discord extensively, and I don't really censor them (although I could censor a bit more, we're all adults). If you want to join us, please send a PM. We can work on getting your PC involved, getting you on our Discord channel, and getting your sheet ready.
The two remaining Cerberus enemies, once poofing back into existence, surround the largest thing they can see and start chomping. That thing happened to be the massive tiger in their midst, and the tri-headed foes sunk their jaws into the transmutated flesh, biting and tearing. Half of the attacks land, dealing a total of 33 damage.
Cynthia retaliated, flanking one of the Cerberus enemies opposite Adrevz and slashing it with the Levinbolt sword, hitting twice and dealing a total of 30 damage.
Kit returned to party on his own, looking to be in a bout of distress. Shortly after, Kyra sprinted out of the trees and into the little clearing they had made into a campsite. Hair matted to her face as beads of sweat poured out of her blushing skin, and she huffed heavily in recovery from the frantic run. "Hey," she blurted out before continuing to force herself to catch her breath. In a moment she seemed partially recovered, then able to stand without resorting to supporting her upper body on her knees. "It's the strangest thing, you know, we sort of got spotted and now we have half a dozen armed guards chasing us."
"Ah," Detta flatly responded. The alarm from the cat's sudden appearance had not worn off; Detta was standing braced, wide-eyed, and holding her axe out at the ready. "Well, get ready to fight. Not much to room to bluff with Sigurx here tagging along." She gave the troll a sideways look. "No 'fense, friend."
Sigurx looked down at the dwarf and chuckled menacingly. "No 'fenses taken, mate. Them gobs are gonna be squished so hard!" he chortled, readying himself for a fight.
"I have offered to hide him," Hanani pointed out, much to Mercy's dismay, "He would not be difficult to vanish and if they have not acted like they know he is here then we can still catch them by surprise when a Troll seems to suddenly appear behind them... or in front of them."
Kyra shook her head and kept breathing, as words still illuded her. "Nope," she huffed, "They saw us, so you can go -- go right ahead."
Hanani nodded his head and looked over at the rather large addition to their group. "Alright then... Sigurx, seems like you get to go invisible for a bit so you can go ahead and scare those pesty little Gobs you hate so much," he said, his voice cold, "The spell will wear off in about 24 seconds or the moment you hit one of them, so try to reach them as quickly as you can."
Kyra slapped her hands together four times in a loud, exaggerated fashion. "It's about that many smashes if you're not so good at numbers, troll friend."
The troll nodded eagerly. "Smashing from the shadows is fun. You lot be ready to run in, kay?" He didn't sound too trusting of his new allies, but it was hard to argue against gob-smashing.
Hanani nodded his head before making quick work of the spell he had offered the Troll. One moment he was there, the next he disappeared before their very eyes, it was time to get the party started and this would hopefully start with a bang.
As the patrol approached, Claudia could easily tell these were hobgoblins bearing the same symbol she had seen in the goblin cave earlier. They approached swiftly, but as they got close to the bridge, their pace slowed as they looked around for enemies. Claudia's dancing lights distracted most of the group, but one archer pointed up to the trees where the vigilante had tried to hide, then called something out in goblin. An arrow shot out, embedding itself into a branch just in front of Claudia. [Attack roll: 16 vs Flat-footed AC + 4 for cover]
The group could see the goblins approaching the bridge, and although they didn't know exactly where Claudia was until the arrow was shot, they knew she wasn't with them.
The sergeant moves off to the west and fires a crossbow bolt into the trees, but he missed horribly. It seemed that crossbows weren't his preferred weapon. This was followed by the archer that had spotted her moving forward to pinch her off from support. He then fired an arrow up into the tree, again missing horribly.
@Zverda - Hanani, with Mercy drawn, follows close behind Kyra and Kit, moving 120 ft.
That other archer moved forward and leveled its bow at Claudia, hitting for 7 damage. The Goblin Dog and the Brawler move forward to inspect the lights, as they are unable to attack at a range.
@Muttonhawk - Detta breaks into a sprint! <Full round action to clankclankclank 80 ft.> "Valerio!? Got a way to move faster? Rusalka's still out there!"
@Ermine - Rusalka casts Deeper Darkness on the tree in front of her and moves toward the bridge in as straight a line she can.
Sigurx runs forward 120 ft, lumbering along loudly but invisibly behind the group.
No one can see what the hobgoblins are doing inside the Deeper Darkness area, but Rusalka hears a thud and what sounds like cursing in the goblins' language.
@Cu Chulainn - Valerio uses a full-round action to cast Communal Mount, which will complete in the beginning of his next turn. He is summoning three mounts: two 35 ft away from him, and one adjacent. Hanani and Detta will have to turn around to mount their horses.
@Ms Ravenwinter - Both Kit and Kyra run 120 ft ahead. Kit is now about 230 ft from the bridge. Kyra is about 260 ft from bridge.
The Sergeant and Archer take their turns, but it's hard to tell what's going on under the Darkness. An arrow sounds like it embeds into the tree where Rusalka just left.
@Zverda - Knowing the sooner he got to the creatures before them, Hanani continued to run, Mercy humming with the want to feel the give of flesh beneath her blackened metal. [Hanani has moved 240 ft now.]
The sound of movement could be heard from the darkness.
@Muttonhawk - Detta keeps on sprinting! <Full round action to clankclankclank 80 ft. She's now covered 160 ft. of distance.>
@Ermine - Rusalka continues to float, moving into a position to look like she was swimming, even though no one could see her yet.
@JBRam2002 - Sigurx keeps charging forward, now 240 ft from the start. The Brawler is still in the darkness area.
@Cu Chulainn - Three Light Horses appear. Valerio commands said horses to Run up to Detta and Hanani. Valerio jumps on his horse and also commands it to run to the bridge, getting 250 ft forward.
@Ms Ravenwinter - Both Kit and Kyra run 120 ft ahead. Kit is now about 110 ft from the bridge. Kyra is about 140 ft from bridge.
There is more movement in the darkness. One of the horses runs up to Zverda, while the other catches up to Detta.
@Zverda - Hanani waits for the horse to catch up and hops up as a free action. Still 260 ft away from bridge.
An archer steps out from the darkness, and fires an arrow towards the nearest enemy it can see (Kit), hitting for 7 damage. The goblin dog charges forward and hits for 8 damage. Kit must make a Fortitude Save, and passes with a 19 for no effect. The Brawler double moves forward, looking ready for a fight.
@Muttonhawk - Detta mounts up on the interplanar horse as a move action. She donates her standard action to charity. She is still 340 ft from the action.
@Ermine - Rusalka continues floating, now 60 ft from the tree she had pushed off from and just on the edge of the darkness.
@JBRam2002 - Sigurx continues his run, now 140 ft from the bridge and right on Kyra's tail. Invisibly. The other Brawler appears from the darkness.
@Cu Chulainn - Valerio has his horse run up to where the action is, stopping near a couple of trees and rolling off his horse. "Slam yourself into that brute when you have the chance!” Valerio exclaims, nodding his head to the Brawler as he begins to cast Hold Person on the Archer. Archer 2 is paralyzed!
@Ms Ravenwinter - After tooth and claw shred into the cheetah's assailant, an arrow whizzes past and dives directly into the barely conscious hound's flesh. "Kit! Get the hell out of there!" The Goblin Dog takes 16 damage and is currently dying.
The sergeant flanks around a tree to attack Valerio with his whip, rolling a 24 vs CMD to trip. Valerio is knocked prone! Another archer steps out of the darkness and fires two shots at Valerio's mount, hitting for 9 damage!
@Zverda - Rushing forward on the horse provided with him, Hanani managed to get into close enough range to attack after a dismount, an act that seemed to fail spectacurlaly as his foot ended up stuck in the stirrup for some time. A few curses slip past the Elf's lips as he manages to disconnect himself from the saddle before casting Frostbite just out of range of the Archer he now faces. Lunging forward, he swipes at the Paralized creature, Mercy biting into it's flesh for 6 damage while the spell causes another 6 damage to be inflicted while causing the Creature to become Fatigued. [Total Damage: 12. 3 rounds left to Frostbite]
The mounts have either already acted this round, or are being ridden. Archer 2 is currently paralyzed and unable to act, and fails another Will Save to through off Hold Person. The Goblin Dog stabilizes, but is looking very rough. Brawler 1, seeing that Valerio is knocked prone and his horse is tired from running, braves the hooves of the steed and avoids getting hit. He strikes at Valerio, dealing 6 slashing damage.
@Muttonhawk - "Onward, Albert! Git me o'er there!" Detta spurs the summoned mount to a gallop. She thunders into view with her axe held out in one hand. She seems to be hiding her difficulty in keeping her balance. <Full round action to run up to the south of brawler 1>
In an attempt to do some damage on the way in, Detta pulls a gleaming metal ring from her belt and throws it spinning towards brawler 1. <Move action to draw weapon, Standard action attack: Attack roll 16 hits! 8 damage>
@Ermine - Rusalka lowers herself, continuing her slow drift, but moving back to a vertical position to look like she's walking down stairs in a ladylike fashion.
@JBRam2002 - Sigurx lumbers forward, double moving to get close but unable to make an attack. The Vanish spell wears off, and the hobgoblins look up at him in surprise, thinking that the sound was just another horse or fighter. "I'm coming for you!" he called out, slamming his greatclub against the ground as he stomped forward. [Sadly, no action economy left for Demoralize, or I totally would have used it here.]
The Brawler rushes forward to attack Sigurx, provoking an Attack of Opportunity, although the greatclub missed terribly. The brawler's attack his for 4 slashing damage, but Sigurx looks almost no worse for the wear.
@Cu Chulainn - Mentally freaking out at how easily he was cornered, Valerio took a few deep breaths, glad that he learned a few breathing exercises from Kyra. “Horse, rearrange this brute’s innards with your hooves! I’ll use my Wand of Blink behind the one with the whip!” Valerio shouted, before whipping out his Wand of Vanish and tapping himself with it, disappearing in plain sight, exclaiming POOF right before. [Bluff roll: 30].
@Ms Ravenwinter - In the same instant that Valerio POOFed away, he'd watch as the vicious maw of Kit sunk into the hobgoblin before him. A terrible shriek came from the foul thing as bones crunched underneath the cat's jaw. These cries were silenced immediately as an arrow tore into the thing's throat, leaving it to fall to the ground with a gurgle of blood. [Total of 22 damage dealt to Brawler 1].
The Sergeant flicks his whip towards Hanani's legs, trying to trip him up, but misses. Archer 1 fires two arrows towards Claudia. The first misses wildly, but the second barely hits for 8 damage. The Archer then steps back into the shadows of Deeper Darkness, out of sight.
@Zverda - Hanani moved away from the immobilized archer and went for the Sergeant, Mercy humming with hunger in his hand as he took a swipe. Much to both his and his swords dismay however, it seemed the Gob was a bit smarter than he would have given it credit for as it dodged the blade. The air by its head where the sword had sliced through the air was cold for a moment before the normal temperature seemed to return. [Frostbite: 2 rounds left].
Valerio's horse stomped down on the Brawler, smashing its skull in and definitely killing it. It then stepped to the side after the nearest enemy. Hanani's horse tried attacking the Sergeant, but was unable to land a hit. The paralyzed archer is unable to shake off the paralysis, and the other enemies who would normally act now lie bleeding on the ground.
@Muttonhawk - After seeing her chakram nick the yonder hobgoblin, Detta wheeled about to a stop and slid off to engage the nearer one (move action dismount and 5FS into a flanking position with Sigurx). With a few practiced steps splitting the goblin's attention, Detta found her opening and swung her axe in an overhead spin into the goblin's arm! (Atk: 23, Dmg: 14)
@Ermine - Claudia uses a full-round action to perform a Coup de Grace on the nearby Archer, dealing 10 damage. The Archer fails its Fort save and dies.
Sigurx gnashes its teeth down on the Brawler, and with the distraction provided by Detta, grabs the hobgoblin with both claws, rending the Brawler in two and dealing a total of 23 damage.
@Cu Chulainn - Valerio, surprised that the hobgoblins fell for his clever ploy, stands up and moves away as fast as he is able to. “Jump on the one with the whip!” He exclaims to his horse, before using his wand to allow him to vanish once again.
@Ms Ravenwinter - : Kyra focused in for another shot, but the hobgoblins started to fall one after another. Trees guarded the final enemy, and they would soon turn on the creature. She ran forward, ducking under a branch, until she had clear sight. She spoke the ritual as she moved and directed her gestures aside from the hobgoblin. "Capture it!" she called out as the grass below and branches above grasped for their target, springing up in groves behind it. Kit dove out through the newly flourishing bramble and found himself caught within.
With a surge of strength, the Sergeant bursts the vines that entangled him and attempts to run. He doesn't get far before Kit bites at his boot, tripping him up and dealing 3 damage. Hanani's horse could not find purchase, but Hanani also got a chance to attack. Feet could be heard moving through the darkness, but no one can see in.
@Zverda - "I will do my best!" he called back to his comrade. Despite these words, Hanani was rather vexed with the Sergeant having been able to avoid his first attack, so he took the chance to attack the creature when he tried to retreat from him and Kyra. Lashing out, Mercy bit into the creature's flesh, no once... but twice as he followed up with a rather violent attack. Mercy, clearly pleased with the chance to harm a creature it deemed as insufferable and hated the existance of. She did not want the creature captured, no, she wanted it dead. [Lethal dmg: 18, Non-lethal: 16. Frostbite: No longer in effect]
The horses, spurred on by Valerio's command, rush forward to attack the Sergeant. Unfortunately, only one can actually reach him, but both hooves crash down, sending the Sergeant into unconsciousness.
@Muttonhawk - Sigurx's final blow against the hobgoblin didn't distract Detta for long. She peered around to see the rest of the action. She shouts. "Let's go 'fore they send more! Quickly!" With a hop, skip, and a jump, she pulls herself up onto the horse nearest to the north-west.
As no more enemies are within range, the battle is complete! Everyone gains 2200 XP.
"Hungry?! We just ate!" Julian worried about the state of the universe if the black hole in her stomach wasn't satisfied. "Either way, it does us no good to stand around. We might as well begin walking, and catch a cab on the way."
Regrettably, no taxis seemed willing to stop for them for quite some time as they walked, causing Julian to grumble. "We have the brightest minds in the world here, and no one thought to have maybe a few more taxis?!"
Of course she would get pasta, a dish costing nearly double what his sandwich did. Why did he agree to pay again? However, her enthusiasm was as infectious as ever despite the mildly uncouth way in which she displayed it. With their goal determined, Julian began mentally calculating just how long he would have to work to pay off this meal. Too long.
With their meal complete and Julian paying for the check before Charlie could get the bright idea of getting dessert, the pair began the long trek back towards Mad Maddy's house. "You know, it would be better if we took a cab," Julian suggested. "We could bill it to our client and save ourselves the hassle of walking three hours."
"Well hold on a moment!" Julian replied. "If we just jump into the case, who's gonna pay us? We gotta get a client lined up first." He shook his head, wondering how Charlie kept a business running for so long. "I'm fine with risking my life for the greater good and all, but not for free. Let's get first scope out a client, get a contract, and then the cops won't shoot us when we show up. Unless you want to work with the police?"
The waiter returned with their drinks and Julian ordered a simple sandwich, not wanting to feel like throwing up again from too many sweets. "Let's at least go over and see what the cops found out. Nothing wrong with that, right?"
Julian requested a lemonade and sent the waiter away. "If she was dead, she was the most living dead person I've ever seen," he replied. "But I'm pretty sure we were not hallucinating. There has to be some real explanation."
He leaned back in his chair, staring out at the midnight blue expanse. "This is an opportunity," he said finally. "We've been chasing small fry jobs for too long. I'm tired of find where Grimsworth's latest lost kitten went. We have a chance to be part of something that matters. And sure, it's scary, but we can't shy away from an opportunity like this, right?"
Charlie's insistence on a meal so soon after receiving sweets was perhaps a bit suspect, as was her insistence that he pay for it. Julian hesitated but a moment, already worried about his own finances before buying gifts for others. He needed to either repair or replace a recently-ripped vest of high fashion, for example. However, he found it difficult to deny a request from her, especially one that felt almost like a date.
Julian allowed himself to be nearly dragged to the new cafe, and he requested a table for two from the maitre d. They were soon seated at a small table outside the building with a decorative parasol, their view overlooking the ocean world outside the dome. Sea creatures of all types would randomly float past to inspect the light from the dome, giving customers a great view.
@JBRam2002 - With one enemy left and incapacitated, an unspoken agreement passed over the group. As the others all ganged up to attack the remaining enemy, Jill's form shifted to one of terrifying beauty. "On your knees, mutt! Grovel for me!" she called out before casting another spell. What the Cerberus thought it saw was a mystery to all but Jill, but whatever it was terrified it as it howled in agony. [Casting Command as a Bonus Action (save failed automatically) to force the enemy to go prone on its next turn, then casting Phantasmal Force (failed save), dealing 2 psychic damage]
@The Grey Dust - Once more to feel string of the lash. The crack of the whip upon the untouched heads of the beast. Twicefold, once upon each brow. There the bitter sting of pain would singe. Bear its cross upon which it would kneel. The burden too much for it to bear as the whimpering pup howled high in pain. Oh how such sweet music, necter of the gods, ambrosia of the sadist to hear the broken mind sing in highest gloria. For now this mutt had all the rapt attention of such rapturous domination. First was the Warlock himself, who twisted the shadows to flay you apart. Then was paradox Koan with darkness ever pouring with the blinding light that branded the cur's mangy hide. And third was her, Jill, who taunted her mesmerized hound so, barking like a true master for her slave to grovel like the great worm it was. Such envy, to feel all three upon his own body, self-flagellating, to be taken beneath the boots of either. Ah what fantasies a dark heart may have yet.
But oh was the light so radiant. The glow instilling that faithful flame. The light which the darkness swallowed whole, lit once more again. How can it be? That she summons the light? And how can it be that she commands the body so? Two women fair mysteries to be unraveled, perhaps over a meal once they have settled what affairs in order may be. And Yet there were several women here, and between he and the beholder, it appeared they were short of a man. Was this then his harem? His army of dangerous girls, he the captain swinging his blade with his tigeress child? And there was the last one the old lizard that she was. He knew little of her for one who just entered in, sure at the inn before but somehow quiet until this battle. Dangerous women all, and a tentacled monster. What sort of crew was this? One that would be the end of these mutts no less. As with his gaze torn between Koan and Jill, the shadowed one's burning eyes fell once more upon the enchanted dog. Oh to utter allegience to one was perhaps to deny the other. And beneath the waves, here how should the fallen aasimar choose between his Ondine or her curse?
Crack. Revel in the pain. Crack. Delight in your suffering.
Then again, maybe it would be an experience for one of them to take his breath away. As those eyes settled away with the punished guardian and a pale finger traced the smile the jester bore. "Your light surprises me, what other surprises do you hide?"
Prepared action for group round 1: Attack action 1: Whip attack 1 w/ advantage on Doggo B from the Shadows! = 2d20k1 + 11 = (2+13)+11 = 24 (hit!) Whip attack 1 damage on Hexed Doggo B = 1d4 + 5 + 2 + 4 = (4)+5+2+4 = 15 Slashing Attack action 2: Whip attack 2 w/ advantage on Doggo B from the Shadows! = 2d20k1 + 11 = (9+18)+11 = 29 (hit!) Whip attack 2 damage on Hexed Doggo B = 1d4 + 5 + 2 + 4 = (2)+5+2+4 = 13 Slashing
Total Damage = 28 Slashing.
@JBRam2002 - With a slash of lightning, Cynthia's Levinsword crashed down across the Cerberus twice, carving an X across its back as the wounds were immediately seared. [Cynthia attacks twice for 18+17=35 damage]
@Hekazu - The Great Dyn'yer'zhead had to admit he was somewhat miffed by the fact his prey was stolen from in front of him. Yet it only meant he had to swim a bit further to reach the only dog remaining, so for all he knew it would only serve to simplify the dilemma they might have had with this fight otherwise, especially with Jill having worked her magic on the last target. He swam forth, remaining on the Western side of the stream as he sought a position where he and his daughter would have the last remaining guardian between them. Which would be surprisingly easy with her massive transformed state. He prepared the Tradewind for a few decisive cuts as the magic of the Bladesong still fuelled his actions. [Attacks twice, scoring a critical on one, for a total of 21 damage].
@Zverda - ”Blood in the water I sing, And one who shed it: Deadliest hunger I sing, and one who fed it-”
Attack Roll with Advantage: 2d20k1+6 = (18+3)+6 = 24 Damage Roll for Shark: 2d8+4 = (7+2)+4 = 13
While everyone else prepared to attack at once, Adrevz commanded the shark to do the same, which prompted it to keep up its circling motion it had taken up before. It was clear the hunter was ready to strike, the blood within the water calling to it to feed. However, as lacking in intellectual thought as the shark was, even the most basic of hunters understood that patience was key.
As everyone else began their attack, the Hunter received a command from it’s temporary master to attack the lone Cerberus with everyone else. With the blood of the creature in the water the Shark seemed closer to a frenzied state than before, it’s teeth sinking into the creature just like before, though it was clear it got a better grasp this time. As more attacks hit, the shark's teeth sank deep into the creature, blood rushing into its mouth as it removed yet another chunk out of the huge beast. The hunger it felt was nowhere near sated, it wanted more, it needed more, after all a shark this large needed quite a bit of meat to keep it saited.
@Zverda - “The impact of an attacking tiger can be compared to that of a piano falling on you from a second story window. But unlike the piano, the tiger is designed to do this, and the impact is only the beginning.” ~ John Vaillant, The Tiger: A True Story of Vengeance and Survival
Attack Roll with Advantage: 1d20+8 = (20)+8 = 28 Damage Roll for Adrevz: 27
Annoyance flicked across the tiger’s face, violet eyes flicking over to the male Aasimar for a brief moment, his presence made her skin crawl. While he was mildly fascinating, his interest in the other woman was mildly bothersome to her, a woman who became as jealous as she so quickly seemed to be asking for trouble. Shaking her head, she was careful as she initially moved closer to the Cerberus that was left, moving so she was flanking on the side outside of the shadows that they had created, her ears twitching. The pair bothered her greatly, mostly disgusted her actually, and she did not know them all that well. When she managed to settle into an advantageous position she waited for the others, claws extending past paws as she let out a low growl getting ready to pounce on her unsuspecting victim.
Much like her shark, when the others attacked she finally pounced, claws digging into fur and flesh as she snapped at the creature with her teeth in a threatening manner. With her size equal to that of the creature they faced she had an easier time with a more even attack, her claws spanning a larger area. While she did not tear any chunks out of the beast's flesh like her shark had, she had done plenty of damage with those she was meant to work with, the feeling satisfying. Once the damage was dealt, she leapt back so she was out of the way of any spells that had been cast as she did not want to get caught in the aftermath of what they could cast. She only trusted two of them not to hit her, the others she simply would wait until they gave her a reason to trust her rather than want to rip their throats out with her teeth. [Doggo must make Str Save DC 13, which he fails because he is dead.]
@Gordian Nought - "How disappointing. She has taken away our toy..." The pause between his breathless gasps were priceless. "Then to the shadows with you Curs!”
Banish!
The prophecy of Noriam marked the toyed beasts to a hidden Patmos, one head shy of fulfilling a book of mystagogical revelation, bursting of signs and wonders. Of churches, trumpets and bowls, dedication to eschatologically manifested the doom of the age. Such divined forecasts were excommunicated predictions, to undying clerics of an uncaptured epoch. Yet, these dogs would return, in time as do all things. This talented Sauron would be his Adam, an icon of once tasting an unknown Eden of pleasure, but purposely evicted to pangs of tribulation and the sweet agony of realty’s sting. An Oedipusian self-exile manifested a trail of tears, by killing the father of fortune, to marry the mother of martyrdom. She could see, through the magical darkness, the absence of distress in the eyes of the tempting devil. He teased her sensibilities of a myriad of other archetypes.
An Ivanhoe perhaps disinherited by a Cedric. Or a Jenik expelled by a jealous stepmother. Maybe a king’s Tristam, dismissed for a decade to sail a swan as the last pilgrimage to the last gard. Yet, what was her placed in all of this? To he, who enjoyed pain and chaos? Was the jester more of a Hagar, the matriarch of a first born Ishmael? Or a Sarah, laughing at the promises to come? The joker schemed in the impenetrable void, communed with the webbed Warlock. Her pledged pillars of sacred flame would stall for the resurgence of these Cerberi, to return and burn in radiant embers.
Koan suddenly realized her place at that imprecise moment. The clown would be the Ganymede to this dark Jupiter, a cup-bearer to his archived memoires, rife with jovial pages of sinister laughter and nefarious. The grey geisha fathomed that a faithful Rosalind would complement, quite nicely an Orlando, willed a thousand crowns from the dying progenitor of the most high. The smirk creased her face, inevident due to the inky shroud she encapsulated herself within.
A cocoon of dusky conspiracy shared with a fool’s lover.
[Koan will cast Sacred Flame. DEX save against DC of 16. 2d8 +4 (Undying Warlock benefit) for the missed DC. He fails because he is dead.]
@Lauder - “Y’know this would be a good time for a song,” came the voice of the Kobold, so tempted to begin playing a song. Yet, she restrained herself and groaned as she figured she could help the group of feeble minds. Her hands began grow restless though, unable to truly fight off the temptation of music. ”I guess I’ll just put the nail in the coffin,” Askia sighed as she allowed her mind to take control of the situation. [Askia will use Psychic Hammer on Doggo C if it tries to attack. It must make a DEX save against a DC of 16 or take 2d6 damage. It fails because he is dead.]
It turns out, when you gang up on an enemy, he can be defeated quite easily.

If you're looking for an RP partner and I've glanced at your profile, then I'm most likely willing to give it a shot, but decided against PMing you because [sub]I'm actually kinda shy[/sub]. But I'm always looking for a new friend!
Please feel free to say hi at any time!
