"Select your character. Remember, you can't go back later."
In Summary
Reboot is a multiverse RP with a focus on adventuring. You play as yourself, mixed with a fictional character. It's loosely based on Return to the Multiverse by Kalamadea and grandsword.
Intro
It's about 3 AM, and for some reason you're still browsing the internet. You're tired, bored, and not thinking straight. Clicking links randomly has led you to a sketchy-ass website that looks like it was made in the 80's. The only thing of interest on it is a single download link for an executable called "Reboot.exe." Apparently, judging by the mediocre description, it's some kinda fan game. Due to your lack of sleep, your common sense is just low enough to download it. When it finally finishes, the program opens up automatically and displays a simple title screen, completely white with only two pieces of text. The title, Reboot, and a "New Player" option. You hit enter, and you're greeted with a character select screen that is massive. So many, many characters to choose from. There's even a "Create Character" button! After selecting one of these, though, your fatigue catches up with you, and you pass out on your keyboard.
Important Info
So, In this RP you are a "Player" who has been sucked into the internet by "Eddy Gadd" one of the first people to be sucked into the multiverse. He informs you that the reason you have been sucked into the internet is to defeat Eden. Eden was a program built to keep balance in the multiverse and protect the Crucible of Worlds, a powerful relic that was the key to starting up the multiverse. In the end Eden became to powerful and aware, and broke the Crucible into pieces, scattering it across the multiverse. Now, Eden wants to reshape the multiverse to its whims, corrupting and deleting anyone or anything that gets in its way. Some heroes have already fallen to Eden, so it's up to you and your band of Player Characters to find the pieces of the Crucible, and destroy Eden, before the entire Multiverse is so twisted and mangled, no one can fix it.
Keeping in the spirit as playing yourself, I'd prefer if we kept it one character to a person.
No godmodding, of course.
Feel free to suggest worlds to go to, and do whatever you like in each world.
Generally, characters are kinda powerful. This is a power fantasy in it's purest form, so feel free to give yourself a little stuff that would be considered OP elsewhere. Look to other character in this thread to see if your character's powerful enough/too powerful.
Once you've posted your character in OOC and I approve, post it in the Characters Tab.
So, in this roleplay, you are generally an amalgamation of you, and someone else. Normally it's a fandom character, but if you happened to hit the "create character" button, it can just an alteration of yourself. Sometimes the character completely overcomes the player, leaving only the base traits of player, while being largely the character, or vice versa. Other times there is complete balance, even up to the point of two minds and/or souls inhabiting one body. It can be either of those, or anything in between. Powers are generally based on the character themselves, but occasionally there is a glitch in the system, and people can get mixed, or even completely different powersets to the characters they've been combined with. You can pretty much pick anyone, and again; the powers are based on characters, they don't have to be exact.

@Penultimate_Pi Accepted! Man, do I love the fucking Red Queen... Seriously I'll take that over Yamato or Rebellion or even Sparda any day of the week.
EDIT: Well, actually @Penultimate_Pi, thinking things over a little more clearly, maybe you should remove the Speed boost. I don't remember Nero being particularly fast. I dunno, it just seems like one power too many. Sorry for making you do this.
I dunno. I'll actually start working on the OOC right now. Shouldn't take super duper long, since my IntCheck post covers most of the stuff.
So, right now the working poor is that someone sucked all these player into the multiverse because a virus (I'm thinking the name either Eve or Eden.) built to protect the Crucible of Worlds, shattered the damn thing into pieces. Now it's up to our heroes to gather up those fragments and destroy the virus. Sound good to everyone?
EDIT: Oh, by the by, I'll probably have it be jump in. EDIT X2 COMBO: I mean like, anyone can join any time. I didn't mean Jump in like, yaknow, people can post IC without my approval.
Name: Cia Nilfton Gender: Female Character: Kirby Personality: Cia is very upbeat she tries to find the positive perspectives in everything. She also loves cute things. Cia has been known however to get distracted by cute things, she also loves sweets. Cia in general is very distractable. But if it comes to protecting her friends she has laser focus.
Powers: Copy: Anything she inhales she can copy so long as it has a very distinguishing feature or object to it. Infinite pocket: She has a sort of pocket dimension in her mouth that allows her to carry an infinite amount of objects so long as they can fit in her mouth. Float: She can inflate her body and float in the air after inhaling. Inhale: Can suck up anything so long as it fits in her mouth.
Equipment: Warp Star: Must be called but can be used to travel from place to place rather quickly. Instant Goggle: Goggles that appear on her face whenever she goes underwater
the most adorable pink puff ball is here! Oh he's so cute!
Nah but seriously, that'd be cool. The only issue is that most of the areas are separated by big distances. Assumedly, at least. But yeah, a nintendo world is probably the best starting point.
Oh! What about, being deleted...DELETeD MOTHER FUCKAAAS
Yeah. Maybe Once the virus beats you, he deletes you, and overrides the data with a corrupted version of you to act as a crony. That way we have "Player Bosses" and stuff. That'd be cool.
Not a bad idea, though, (this is totally my fault for not explaining better,) the players have been completely sucked into the game/Internet/whatever. This isn't like SAO where, though you are trapped in the game there is still a real you. The real you is now inside the computer, combined with a character.
Still though, the virus idea is really good. I will definitely think about including it. Still unsure if I want a main villain or an impending threat without a body. What do you guys think?
@kafka komedy They found it early, I didn't get nearly as sick as I could have from the chemo. At the moment I'm doing great and it looks I'm over it though I still have check ups. So all in all I can't complain. What did suck though was that I heard July 10th, literally two days before my birthday, so that party was basically ruined.
That's good, that's good. Bad news right before a birthday always sucks super hard, though.
