Bonnie's confusion grew ever evident as yet another person joined them. Some random Dry Bones who seemed inebriated and idiotic. Apparently, he and Bowser were working together. Bon felt indignant. He hired some drunkard over her? She could hand this things ass to it a million times over, even if it was a nigh-immortal Dry bones. She began to walk over to the both of them and give them a piece of her mind, but was interrupted by Mario, who had told both her and the Dry Bones, apparently called "Soggy" to shut their traps. Bon wanted to insult him as well, but Bowser mumbled something, and she wasn't able to make out what he had said before he began his explanation.

Bonnie mostly got what happened at the castle before her and Mario had arrived, but there was one thing she didn't get. Who was this "Count Bleck?" Apparently, Mario knew who he was too. How the hell did she not know of this? He almost sounded familiar, maybe, but she was probably getting him confused with someone else. Apparently, he had a main squeeze: a lady named Timpani. The two saved the world or something? Then why would their kid go around kidnapping princesses?

"Who the hell is Count Bleck? Or Timpani?" The thief asked. She was super confused right now. Nothing was making any sense, and she really just wanted to sit down in an alley and count her coins.

Eh it's not really a big deal. It's just a conversation anyways. You could add a thing or two if you want.

You're not really holding anything up, would be interesting to get more character development going though. But I'm sure there'll be plenty of time for that on the journey anyways.

I can probably get a post up tonight
Hey, if im holding you guys up, feel free to railroad me a bit. I should be free on friday
Mary nodded as the others heeded her (well, technically Souta's) suggestion and armed themselves. Mary pulled out her pistol, while still holding the tablet in her right hand, and made her way to the skylight indentation. While she was up there, Akoni brought up an interesting theory. She was unsure if it was right, but it wasn't entirely without merit. They would have to scour the books for info on who actually inhabited this place before it was abandoned.

Once Mary placed the sun tablet, a brilliant magic mechanism lit up the room, with both the floor and walls being filled with light blue lines. Mary almost gasped at the beauty, but got a hold of herself and calmed down. She gazed down the hallway like all the others. It was odd, seeing the place so tidy after all the books had been strewn about haphazardly. They had all probably found who had done the strewing though. A figure stood, silently, at the far end of the hall. Mary gripped her gun tighter. It seemed they had been right to arm themselves. There was someone in here with them. She stepped closer with them. Then, she saw who it was.

"Sevrin..."

The girl growled at the realization. He was the one responsible for the destruction of the second seal, and the current wielder of the Yamato. She just barely stopped herself from rushing at him. Her fear and rage bubbling incessantly, she completely ignored his comment about the librarian and simply gave him a death gaze that would kill any normal man. Akoni asked an odd question, and before Sevrin could respond, Mary answered for him. "That's not your Sevrin. It's a demon crawling around in his skin. We should slaughter him where he stands." She commanded. She put her pistol away, and took out the thick blade of the Burial Suit instead. Even if he had the Yamato, there was surely a way to beat him if all five of them worked together. They needed to. This demon needed to die.

Bonnie followed behind Mario after he thanked her with a peace sign and continued on forward. As the two neared the castle, they both noticed a vehicle parked outside. It was obvious to anybody that the vehicle belonged to the King of Koopas, it's wicked smile signifying immediate danger, and probably also kidnapping. As soon as Mario lept up to it, Bonnie dashed through the front door of the castle with a simple "I'll meet ya up there!" though she doubted the man could hear her.

La Bandita ran through the halls of the opulent palace as quick as she could. Although she hadn't been through this iteration of the castle, she was able to find her way around well enough. After noting where the royal treasury was, she quickly made her way to where she heard voices, one gruff and tough, and another that sounded a little similar to hers.

Bonnie busted through the door just in time to hear Bowser admit that someone else had caught the princess. An audible "Huh?" left her lips as she tried to process the info. She couldn't see anyone other than the two rivals. Had the villain already escaped? This was a confusing situation, especially since Bowser didn't seem to be attacking. Was this some sort of ploy? It would catch Mario off guard a little, but certainly not enough unless there was some sort of trap to be spun. Bonnie decided to simply wait it out. She was unsure which side would be more profitable, if there even were a side to begin with.
Eventually, Mary gave up looking for stuff. She had searched the room high and low for stuff but that turned up not much but ancient utensils. All those did was make Mary hungrier. And Mary was pretty hungry. She couldn't wait to get back to the Citadel. With luck, they would have some sort of kitchen and she could try out the recipes she had gathered here. It would be nice to congratulate everyone on a mission accomplished with a big feast. She hadn't really cooked much before, but it couldn't be that hard could it? Besides, she was sure the others could help out. She could try and get the Watchers to do it, but she had a feeling they were overworked already honestly.

Mary turned to address both Souta and Silas, but stopped herself as she noticed Souta reading a note. She quickly gave the room a onceover to see if anybody had joined them, but Souta told Silas and her that Akoni had found another tablet. It was probably a magic note he sent, then. Souta suggested the group join Akoni and the little girl in the main room, before playing a small prank. Mary giggled quietly in the background as Souta told the note how they had encountered a huge monster. After some slight merriment, the group traveled to the main chamber.

Once there, Mary began looking for some sort of place for the tablet. If there were two of them, it was obvious they would have to solve a puzzle of some kind. "I wonder if the other tablet had an inscription..." Mary mumbled to herself. That would have helped figure out where the tablet was supposed to be placed. Luckily, Souta noticed a tablet-sized hole that would fit the bill. The tablet's inscription also made sense in the context. Mary was willing to bet that he was right. He was also probably right about danger being behind the locked door. "Yeah, it may be a good idea to arm ourselves before placing both tablets." Mary affirmed, before trying to find a way up to the skylight.
@Lmpkio Ah, don't worry, I'm sure Bonnie will side with him.

Anyways, sorry for the short post.

As Bonnie charged on ahead, she heard someone call back to her. Whipping her head back revealed it was Mario, with an egg in his hand. She skidded to a stop where she was, and began getting into position. His request was simple. "Batter up."

Bonnie turned sideways to Mario, cocking her hips and placing the weight to her back leg. The man threw the egg like a standard screwball pitch. As he did this, Bonnie's front foot slammed into the ground. This was going to be a powerful hit, and she firmly planted herself on the ground, ready for it.

The egg got closer.

Bonnie breathed in, and then out.

The egg got closer.

Bonnie's hips began to move towards it.

The egg got closer.

SMAAAASH!

The egg collided with The Giant as the bandit swung the bat at it. An incredible force when to Bonnie's hands, almost forcing her to drop the bat. Her breath hitched, but she held her ground. The bat accelerated and pushed against the kid, before sending him flying. Bon finished the swing, her bathead resting behind her head. She laughed to herself slightly. Apparently, all those years in little league had payed off.

Bonnie stood her ground and waited for Mario. That was a bit intense, and she wasn't really in the mood for running right now. She'd defend the position and wait for the hero to join her. After all, there really wasn't much benefit to reaching the castle first.
@Double Here.
@Holy Soldier Well now that she doesn't see him as an enemy, the coming journey could certainly make them into battle hardened buds. They're both very brash as well (though Bonbon would probably only verbally fart in someone's face compared to Mario's direct action.)
