Roxy glanced at the guy who spoke to her. She studied him cautiously before looking back at the table. As much as she wanted to help herself to the food there it was too dangerous. There was no way of know if the food was drugged or what the price of eating the food would be. It wasn't a chance that she was willing to take. "Nothing is free. And I came from the shadows. I was walking in them until I fell out." She answered honestly although she had been tempted to keep that information to herself.

"Help yourself to the food. We will be here for awhile here for awhile. I will tell you about the gems and my knowledge of them. First my name is Gem. I called you here because you received the gems. Once you got your gem I know who you were, where you were, and which gem you received. There are others but they either aren't here or haven't gotten their letters yet." The older man explained.

The only way into the mansion is through the phones. Kind of like they do in Star trek (for lack of another example). Someone calls the mansion where someone else answers. Then they use the open line to go from where they are to the mansion.
