Hello Everyone. Welcome to my page. Feel free to call me Ms. Winters Or Major Winters. Most people do. I have been with the guild over three years now. I have many RPs and 1x1s. Feel free to take a look. I am 45 (Yes I know I am older than most). I am an online college student going for my masters in marriage and family counseling. I have been happily married for 22 years. I have two gremlins. I love to read. We started a YouTube channel to share our randomness.

I thought about including that! I thought we talked about it so I decided not to. Roxy is allergic to eggs. She probably wouldn't mention it since its an ingredient most restaurants list on the menus for that reason.
I think we can skip.
"Nice to met you." Roxy replied. She didn't know how much of that was true but at least they seem open to her being around. She would take that. At least they hadn't rejected her. They seemed alright with her being her around Devika. How long that would last was still to be see.

She watched the older couple interact. She couldn't really remember her parents interact. They had to but it couldn't have been that often since she didn't remember any. She shrugged when Devika indicated that they could leave when her parents started to debate. "It doesn't bother me." She responded honestly.

"I'm not not picky. I'm fine with just about anything." Roxy assured them. She was open to whatever. This was their weekend. She was just here to help Devika deal with everyone's emotions. She wasn't really part of the concept.
"Don't worry about Jess. As long as my father gets what he wants it won't be an issue." The question was how could she secure the future of a company she no longer cared about. She couldn't exactly intimidate people with Jess beside her. She couldn't even spy with the empath around. But that wasn't Jess' fault. The empath hadn't chosen to be assigned to her. She would figure something out.

"I'll figure something out. I know what he wants I can figure out a way to accomplish it." Adapting was something she was good at. She couldn't predict the future but she could make sure that the company couldn't be destroyed from the inside. It wasn't much but she wasn't a miracle worker. She would help because it would benefit her brother and Jess. Neither of them needed their lives messed up by her father's goals.
Up to you. I can see both. A meal at home so they can have to themselves (sort of) or a meal out to celebrate Devika's return.

Roxy studied the house as she got out of the car. She paid the Uber driver. She took a deep breath and wiped her hands on her jeans. She hoped the weekend wouldn't be as difficult as she was imaging. She wished she was better with people. It would make this whole thing easy but she couldn't change who she was.

She made her way but to the door by the time it opened. Roxy studied the woman who opened the door. She didn't seem much similarity between Devika and her mother. She didn't think much of it. She looked nothing like her mother. Her mother had blond hair and blue eyes. Not that it was likely that Devika would ever met the woman.

"Nice to met you Mrs. Jones." Roxy said as she took the woman's hand. She tried to relax but she was ready to be judged and dismissed. Either because of her sexuality, like her mother had done years ago, or because of her appearance, which had been done by people in the past.

Roxy followed Devika inside. She looked around partly out of curiosity and partly in an effort to understand the woman she was living with. She glanced at Devika hugging her father. Pain flashed through her. While her father hadn't ever been one for physical affection they had been close once. Or so she had thought. He had proven her wrong when Drake was born.
This is probably a stupid question but was Roxy invited inside? I didn't see anything that specified other than the comment about Roxy being able to compare Devika to both parents but I don't want to assume.
Great. Take your time.
"Not really." Roxy answered. There was no winning with her father. His only goal was to secure the company for Drake and future generations. He didn't care what he had to do to make sure his legacy continued. She accepted that when he kicked her out of the business. She understood, in a way, that as a daughter she couldn't carry on the family name. Technically she could be she no longer wanted to.

"There's nothing wrong with not being able hide things." Roxy assured the other woman. Sometimes she wished she wasn't at good at hiding thing but she was who she was. She couldn't change who she was. She was happy. It had taken a long time to get to a point wear she could be happy. She wasn't giving that up just because her father decided to re-enter her life. She would find a way to adapt. It was what she had always done.
