Asura hadn't planned for Ardur, or Steve, to interfere until they were all sure on what the bug could do. But the evolved pixie blasted towards the bug and pulled it up by two legs to expose its underbelly. Steve, the spider since Asura technically didn't know its name, stuck a leg and its buzzing wings down. Asura lunged, slamming his body into the beetles, nearly toppling it, but it fell back down. Right on top of Asura. But before he could get another attack in, the sky grew dim.

Wait...that wasn't dimness. Fuck... Was what he thought before Mother Slime came down on top of the beetle with a well placed Smash. Which pushed it down onto him, pinning the both of them beneath her bulk. The bug was already starting to dig, trying to get some space to do...something. Who knew what bugs were thinking. Asura spread himself out, latching onto the legs that were squirming and holding them in place as best he could to minimize its movements.

"No digging for you..." He grunted out before trying to Analyze the monster. He was looking for weak points from his very limited view. He knew its underbelly was soft, it had felt a little squishy when he hit it. Ah fuck it, he'll examine it after it was dead! So he hauled back as best he could, and using the Beetles legs as an anchor, Smashed into its underbelly as hard as he physically could in such tight confines.
Kharne felt the air changing as he continued his approach. The surroundings changed as well, flickering between reality and this...spirit world. He had never seen nor heard of such a being that seemed to exist, and control, both planes. That laughter rung out again, but he just tuned it out. It was probably to make people unsettled if they somehow resisted the freezing that this creature did. Then again it probably found all of this to be great fun, its body was essentially nothing but metal. How did one kill what might not even be truly alive?

At a certain point he felt that sensation again, that immense weight. But he wasn't covered in ice this time. Clenching his jaw he pushed himself, forcing his body to continue forward. The sudden winds were cold, freezing like his old mountainous home. Steam wafted from his body from the unnatural coldness. Another step and reality changed again, it was the ghostly appearance now instead of the one of iron.

Its strange smile grew wider as it gathered energy in its palm. "You got me unawares once..." He growled out through clenched teeth. His body moved as the Butcher rushed him. His bones sounded like steel girders bending from him forcing his muscles to react. He wasn't as fast as he normally was, but he had seen how the Butcher would move its hand. A ball could be thrown, or thrust, but it only went in a single direction. Forward.

Kharne shifted slightly, letting his bulks weight help move him out of the way of its charging thrust while he tried to grab its wrist. He was only guessing he could even touch the damn thing, but its arms and torso seemed solid while its lower body was the more ghostly of it.
Asura nodded as much as a slime could, which was just a bob really. "Yes, experiment with commands. We only have certain permissions though and it won't tell me how to get more. It's like a GM is fucking with us when it comes to the System." The red and orange slime said, growling towards the end with obvious frustration. As they moved they took in the rather scenic sights. If he had been human he'd have admired the scenery a bit. But he was only a first evolved low class monster, he was prey. So his sight seeing was mostly to find things that could be a threat while he acted like a swiffer.

Ardur did say how to regain mana, which earned a groan from Asura. "Figures it's just sitting there with you eyes closed mumbo jumbo..." He muttered, some grumpiness coloring his voice. "That's why I never got into martial arts. I wanted to beat the shit out of people not 'find myself' and all that shit." He continued to gripe then he sighed. Mother Slime eventually coughed up Ardur's lizard, who proceeded to take a couple portions before returning it to the pair of goo monsters. Asura engulfed both front legs before leaving the rest for Mother Slime. She was bigger and needed more food than him.

Movement caught Asura's eyes, a rather enormous beetle was scuttling out of a hole in the ground backwards. Ardur mentioned scaring it off, or killing it. "I know insects don't feel fear, but I don't know if insect monsters are the same..." He said, trailing off while getting thoughtful. Ardur mentioned defenses in the back. "Most beetles that I'm aware of, which are limited, heave a thick shell to shield any wings they have. So...it's probably tough from the top, but underneath I bet it's soft." Asura stated, him being the only one malleable enough to actually get under the beetle.

Asura watched for a moment more before slithering along the ground as silently as he could while flattening himself out. "I'll lead, get its attention. Take out its legs if you can while I go for the underbelly..." He said quietly as he moved like a red wave down the hill. He continued to absorb smaller insects and vegetation to get a full 'stomach' to regain some more Stamina. Still, he went fairly slow. Watching the beetle for any signs it knew he was there.
Bloop?
As the bus slowed down, Kaze stood up with a series of crackles and pops from his back, wings, and tail. Grunting he just hopped up, the metal hover vehicle floated out from under him, before he landed and started to lope after the vehicle. His movements weren't unfamiliar to some of the students, that strange animalistic loping jog he could perform. His wings were folded tightly against his back as he followed along without difficulties.

Once the bus full of teens stopped, Kaze went up beside it and watched the others disembark from the metal contraption. The teachers were next to each other, technology versus nature was apparent when it came to them. Claude was cradling the cat to her chest, making the largest of the students shake his head. "If she struggles, let her down. If it feels like she can't escape she won't let you hold her anymore." He stated as his tail scooped up the luggage that had been left. Which was his own duffel bag and someone elses. It'd all get sorted out later.

The teacher said they'd be exploring some caves after lunch. He glanced at the spotted great feline next to Colles. "What, exactly, is for lunch?" He questioned as he went along with the teacher and other students.
Asura 'glanced' back at Ardur. "You have to be persistent and word things right. Despite my age and profession, I played a lot of video games." He explained as they walked along. Well Asura was trying his best to sneak despite being a puddle. A kind of hungry puddle. Unlike the cave there wasn't too much algae and fungus around, but he started to suck up what he could. Sand, plant matter, insects that were in his path. They'd all be snacks to recharge his Stamina.

"Do you know how to regenerate Mana? I hate using magic, but I have a skill that combines Mana with Food to make my Stamina Regeneration go faster." He questioned, and then explained. Then growled as the System gave him jack shit. Request Permissions to view Permissions List. He thought to the system. "It's being obstinate now..." He muttered, a little agitated at how things weren't working.

Asura took note of the Dire Rats further up the slope and how they were acting. They were more like groundhogs or meerkats. Maybe it was a rodent thing? Either way he kept his senses open. He knew they tunneled and he had no wish to be ambushed from the ground. "Lets go further down the slope closer to the woods. That way we can run in whatever direction we need to." He stated, veering down the slope closer to the woods. He'd be picking up more plant-matter as he went as it grew more plentiful. He picked and chose though so he didn't make too obvious of a trail.
Kaze watched Claude move about in her seat to eye him. "Certain brands of peanut butter add a chemical that isn't good for most animals. It's deadly to some and others it makes them sick." He clarified while the girl cleaned her fingers via mouth. "There's also the fact some animals, dogs and cats, that don't salivate as heavy as humans. So they'll literally choke to death on it if fed larger amounts." The draconic being continued on.

The Driver/Teacher at the front of the bus let him know they weren't far from camp now. Which was good, his ass was going numb on the steel floor of this damned contraption. He should have just gotten out and ran at the start instead of riding in it.
Kaze looked up at the Arena with dull eyes. He was impressed by the size, but having a smaller gate leading into the city would have been smarter. If a monster finally got free, there was a nice big gate to bust through instead of a fully reinforced wall with a mouse-hole for it to try and squeeze through. He took note of the man in front of the gate, probably to keep things orderly going in and out. Or to act as a last line of defense given his build.

A single bushy, gray, eyebrow rose up when the man began to speak. "I'm no rookie. Sold my gear to travel and come here. No point dragging an armory across the continent." He rumbled out before shrugging thick muscular shoulders. "Guild Captain wasn't at the port, so decided to take in the sights a bit. No one really gave directions on what to do." He continued, ignoring the shooing gesture of the mans hand. With that he wandered off again, hunting for the Guild Hall. It shouldn't be too hard to find, they always tended to stand out from other buildings.
Kharne had been caught off guard when he had been frozen somehow. He burned almost twice as hot as the average human, and yet he had been stiffened just like the rest. Magic at play of course, because it was always magic. He watched the strange creature end a soldiers life with a blade on its arm, and then absorb...something, from the body. Life energy? A soul? He didn't know but it finally turned its sights on him. After of course new growths appeared, which meant it fed on something after it killed someone. It started to approach him now, albeit slowly, was it taunting him or was that just how slow it moved?

A faint voice was heard then warmth returned to his body, S'venia had released him from that icy prison. Kharne planted the tip of his giant sword in the ground and leaned against it, feeling drained. "Feeds on what it kills...white, wispy, red crystal might be its core..." He growled out as he glared at the Butcher. "Blade in arm, probably both..." He continued as one of the others fired bolts from a crossbow at the creature. Which resulted in negligible or no damage. After a laughing fest from the creature of course, because why would it feel threatened by so few when it takes out platoons at its own leisure.

It performed some strange magic, which revealed the crystal it hid, and returned the scout commanders bolt. Although it had rebuilt and improved it. S'venia was the one who said incoming, so Kharne moved out of the way as his strength returned to him. It didn't take long, he had always recovered quickly. Probably because of both of his heritages. The shortest of the group had made a construct out of water, which mimicked Kharne/Butcher and had an agile looking shape.

Standing up straight, Kharne rolled his head which cracked his neck. His sword was brought up to rest on his shoulder before he started to walk towards the Butcher. Those crimson eyes scanned the creature, looking at its exposed muscle, clearly he was watching that to predict movement as he approached. His free hand, which was his armored arm, was kept loose as he got within striking distance of the Butcher. It hadn't moved yet aside from retaliating to Cyterius. He was testing it to see what it would do but was fully prepared to block or parry its blow when, or if, it attacked.
