Current So, as an American, what do I do when I need to choose between illegal immigration to Canada and dying in a civil war?

Up until today I've never had any trouble with my EUIV Japan games. Today I got stomped five times in a row before even uniting the country.

I'm a weeaboo communist. Are you surprised?

EDIT: You probably are now, but I'm not going to tell you why you wouldn't have been like two years ago. You get to agonize over that yourself.

Yeah, can we not make this an oldfuck circlejerk thread? Those aren't fun to participate in, only to look at.
@Keyguyperson I suppose it would still be better than doing something you used to absolutely love, working yourself to a shadow over it, and then still not being good enough in the end.

Not that I know what I'm talking about or anything.
Edit: And by the way, I'm still hoping you'll let me read your novel when it's through.

Hey, at least you're not the one who might end up dead at the bottom of the ocean because you had a childhood dream relapse.

*Hides NJROTC application papers*

And I'll definitely let you read it, might not post it here though, my delusions of grandeur are leading me to consider publishing it.

Quick question. Before you tried the NaNo challenge, did you plot out your novel (or novella)? In other words, did you at least plan out the basics of the narrative (intro, climax, conclusion, etc)? While I am no expert at writing works of fiction, I would guess that this would at least help out somewhat so that you would have a focused direction in your writing. Others who are more, well, qualified than me in this regard should chime in if I am giving poor advice.

Also, on an unrelated note, I just counted up the number of words that I have written for one of the roleplays that I am currently in and I am over the 100,000 word mark (according to MS Word). Does that mean I win, even though that roleplay began in January 2014?

I'm gonna comment on this because I like talking about myself sharing information.

I didn't do any plotting aside from thinking "Hey what if I did this", and just kind of came up with plot points as a wrote. I currently have the full thing more or less planned out (I don't write in the style of "We'll cross that bridge when we get to it"), but I honestly would have lost interest if I planned it all out first. It just doesn't work for me.

As for the roleplay, did you write half of that in 30 days or so?
I'm backing out... I can't do this. I'd rather do something fun and more beneficial to my short attention span.
Which means I'll at least be around to write reviews for this.

Aww, I was looking forward to seeing what you came up with. But hey, if you're not having fun writing, then the writing generally isn't going to be that good, now is it? If you enjoy something and have a better outcome with it, it's better than doing something you don't like and being disappointed in what you get.

Finally made it to 9000 words! Woo! Now I'm only 2000 behind!
@mdk *grumble* They offer Latin classes. I don't see why they wouldn't offer Greek.

My school only offers Spanish and German. Which is probably a good thing, because otherwise I would decide to learn Chinese or Japanese and die from never, ever being able to read any of it.
Mine is the same as well, just Keyguyperson.
Union in my ass.

Amazing

I don't keep track of this stuff, and by "this stuff", I mean most things normal, functioning human beings keep track of.
uhhhhhhhhhhh
well that escalated quickly
so.......what'd everyone have for dinner?

...

Did I actually have dinner today?

I'm honestly not sure.
I'm sorry that you all feel emasculated by a 14 year old girl who will be a freshman in college next year.

Wait...

I've had the wrong definition of "emasculated" in my mind this whole time?!
